Bayeux is on my 2026 list too, along with the late Queen's fashion exhibition.
Slow decluttering here - I've just sorted my make-up bag & stash, with a pile for Vinted, some Primarni stuff to donate and some stuff that's been open way too long to be disposed of next time I'm in Superdrug. I think I probably have enough lippie & eyeliner for another 5 years!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Coming back to my house after holiday has made me realise my house is made up of stuff I love or use, stuff I never use and stuff I keep "just in case". The latter is hardest with kids as you don't want to waste money and want to recycle as much from one child to the other, but the reality is that you hold onto stuff for so long and then don't use them anyway as they are completely different people with different interests and likes. The trouble is that it's hard to figure out whether you are keeping things sensibly or they really are "just in case" items. It's hard to see the just in case and stuff you don't use as it's all mixed together with the stuff you love/use and even more so when you have already decluttered quite a lot already. When walking around my house earlier I spotted some hand warmers on the side that I picked up from Buy Nothing as I thought they might be handy in winter. The reality is that I am too lazy/time poor to actually get them back to their pre-heated state by putting them in hot water and so they sit on the side reminding me I haven't done it. I mean, I did ask DH to do it originally and he never did. But then we haven't missed them, so they are exiting the house.Anyway, enough rambling. A few more bits leaving the house that I've spotted during tidying or just around the house.1 - packaging recycled
8 - random bits (binned)
1 - DS puzzle (charity bag)
2 - odd socks (recycled)
1 - DD clothes outgrown (charity bag)

I wish I could be a person who dumps everything out, gets rid of a ton, puts it back and is done, but I’m just not. Each time I get rid of things, I have a phase where I live with the remaining things to work out if I am now at the right level of stuff or if I need to get rid of more.2025 decluttering: 3,802🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

@daisy_1571 I love the image of the novelty headbands
@London_1 hope the weather has improved and others surviving the floods
I think we're due very hot weather later in the month!
@vulpix sounds wonderful walks with your different dogs and across the peak district and must be difficult adjusting. One of my friends has come to london to exhibitions with a coach group as she can't walk very far as she has very bad RA and complications from Covid, and that seemed to work well. I'm always in awe of how much you do, and revamp so much furniture, you mention it and next post it's done !
I may well take you up on the offer of visiting your jeweller and seeing the wonders you will do to your new home.
More frog munching, listened to some Japanese decluttering and general good habit videos and led to a pair of shoes going, a cardboard box and some surfaces cleared with items rehomed elsewhere in the house.. 2 washes and lots of ironing. I find I like a sit down watching a drama abit to frequently at the weekend between chores.
Bought myself some flowers when I popped into A*** and also had a manicure - first for years, gosh couldn't believe how long it took for polish to dry - very neutral colour but at least all the same length and shape! I don't think I have the patience to be high maintenance. Trying to get through lotions and potions I've found and corralled so that I know the scale of the overstock and slightly random items.9 -

Well I was while babyface snored her head offOoo it's late :oTime for one last coffee before trying to get some sleep. Take care all & ta-ta for now xxxxxxx
My favorite task is the 'transformation' and the latest series is superb
I've been sorting through & organising finaces this evening which is never a bad thing. Although it's lovely not to have the washing machine on tonight as babyface has come out of her infectious period, so less washing and having to sterilising the washing machine so that I can squeeze my own personal washing in too! Babyface she's always been a stickler for cleanliness which came from her mother
I know full well that I've started a new thing; but not by choice, with the daily doggie clean covers and bedding along with a change of personal bedding every 2 days
I'm going to have to work hard on breaking the habit by crashing out with babyface over the weekend and doing absolutely no washing, although I will change over her blanket on the bed

Having moved just over a year ago and massively decluttered bith my house and my DD decluttered her house ( I sold mine and she sold theirs and we bought one between us) we had two houses combined into one.A year in and we are still decluttering stuff 🤣 just found a home for the spare toaster and food mixer
We still have stuff Togo although week by week it’s getting better I
think I still have clothes that need to go, plus books and goodness knows how many photo frames.
its surprising how much you accumulate but it’s still ongoing 👍
onwards and upwards chums
