Unfortunately I've had 2 plain a4 notepads, 1 large lined A4 notepad, 2 a5 sketch books, a reporters notepad, a pack of 24 colouring pencils, a pack of 24 watercolour pencils and a pack of paint brushes come in.
I'm hoping to get the 2 worktops in the kitchen clear soon, plus make a start on tidying other areas.Decluttering campaign 2023

It’s been a while since I posted, but have been reading along.Condolences to all who’ve lost loved ones, both the two-legged and the four-legged, and all very best wishes to those caring for or concerned about poorly loved ones. Thanks for the lovely photos posted.
Have been rather overwhelmed with things. Deep cleaning the kitchen, very slowly because I’m a bit wobbly on the stepladder. Threw out some old recipe cards I’ve never used. Evicted some spiders. Threw out (but replaced) some crockery of which the glaze had crazed, but replaced it with a net gain of two saucers. Re-organised cutlery drawer to accommodated knives from knife block, block ear marked for charity shop but am still looking for maker’s leaflet which came with it.Took my all-singing, all-dancing coffee machine to charity shop. It’s lovely, and makes all sorts from filter through espresso to cappuccino, but big and takes up a lot of space on the worktop/dumping ground. I haven’t used it for years, as since the last burglary things fell apart in the house and I stopped inviting people to visit because it was so out of hand, and in any case most of the friends who used to visit for coffee have died. Any future visitors when the house is visitable will have to put up with instant or cafetière coffee.
Also decluttered (or had decluttered) a nest of wasps 🐝🐝🐝 which set up home inside the porch roof and chewed their way through into the living room. Which led to decluttering two armchairfuls of mostly unread newspapers (kept to read “sometime”). And various other bits of detritus and gubbins. This means that the porch roof will have to come off and the void be cleared of dead wasps etc.
My sister is moving house, so I’m decluttering to her some of the boxes Justin has been keeping for when (if!) I get back to selling stuff on eBay (other selling sites are available!). She will happily discard them when finished with, so it’s bye-bye boxes.
Sorry for the long post.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

@Blue_Doggy lovely to see you backand sorry to hear you've been overwhelmed. Well done with parting with the coffee machine, I would find that difficult but I am sure when people come round to see you it is to see you and your company. And I'm sure the charity shop were so pleased.
You've inspired me to put some things in cs bag rather than try and sell!
You have reminded me that my collection of boxes Justin is way too large.
I hope you find someone to do the porch roof.
It can be hard finding people to help with these things. Good luck and hope to hear how you get on. And remember the TLC carriage!15 -
I'm managing to declutter abroad. Broke a few things and swore I would not return with anything that no longer fitted me or needed going in the bin. It has worked thankfully.
Retuning tomorrow with at least 8 items less, mostly used up things and also a lot of things no longer appropriate for my age and size.

Starting afresh.

Spent an hour deleting things off my phone as it says not enough storage to take a photo of something.... deleted so much but made no difference.
...
(Some apps also just seem intent on 'caching' things, Maybe they are keeping them for Justin!)

@moginstein thanks, I think the full storage sign didn't go until I turned the phone off and on and I think I deleted more than I needed to and did some and then recycle bin about 10 times and still showed.
Sorting photos a big task for the colder darker days.11 -
Hi all, missed posting for a couple of days. I have had some wins but also a fail. Took 2 bags to the cs, forgot it was market day so had to park a distance away and then the cs wasn't taking donations
so they are still waiting to go, meanwhile I have started another bag. The hall and kitchen have been hoovered and the tidy up and putting things away has continued with lots binned and recycled. Now working on the lr and have clear floor space, just waiting for OH to clear the pile that is nothing to do with me and I will be able to hoover in there. The bathroom has been cleaned including scrubbing the blind and it looks much brighter. The floor needs mopping and that will be done today then onto the kitchen. Another car full of wood was taken to the tip with another bag of hard plastic. The recycling wheelie bin is nearly full but will be emptied tomorrow and I have permission from ln to put stuff in hers if I run out of space 😁.
I had to sort out my yarn stash and it's massive. I have shoved in behind the couch for now 😂. OH said it's not hidden as it's so massive but I just gave a pointed look at OH's piles 😂.
Right time for another cuppa and I will attack the kitchen as OH is still asleep so the bathroom floor can wait until after the shower etc. Dniece will be here on Wednesday so I have to crack on 😂
Hugs to everyone who would like one
I won't list everything but my number is now 1070 which doesn't seem enough for the work done 😂 but it's better than nothing
Take care everyone

Well folk seem to have been hard at it, so although it's ups and downs, it's progress. It is definitely a positive to de clutter the wasps nest. Would the porch roof be covered on house insurance?
I am bamboozled. Never have I found it so difficult to sell and buy a house. Or has it seemed so expensive. There seems to be an email weekly asking for another £300 odd for something or other. You would expect doing everything online would make things much faster. Not at all. It's fair putting me off moving again I can tell you. When we finally get into the new house I am gonna do nowt but wallow for ages.
Anyhoo, Mr V is currently on a mission to find some banana boxes then we will pack a bit more before going to Mum's house for more painting of furniture. I do sit on the floor to do all my diy, and gardening. I save the standing up bits for very short stints. I will start to bring home some of the finished pieces in case my Mum's house completes before ours. The ONLY place I can stash it is in our living room. It will be very snug indeed for a while.
We have booked a little holiday to the Brecon Beacons with DS,DIL and DGS for the beginning of September. I hope it will not be too stressful as it should be just before our move and then not long before the new baby arrives.
Must crack on. Vx

Numbers for June
I feel I did better than May although a major failure in that I did buy 2 new pairs of trousers when I am supposed to not be buying any clothes at all this year.
I panicked and thought none I own would fit for Japan and of course I've since lost over a stone so if I can keep that up I guess at least I will have a range of trouser sizes to pick from for the trip.
I also returned the toy panda that was an "in" a couple of months ago to a friend.
I also decluttered four incredibly irritating eyelashes at the opticians. A very long term frog which I should have dealt with sooner instead of putting up with the pain so I'm counting them.
