I feel I had a good month managing 34 items to the cs including 9 items of clothing which makes me feel better at the smaller amount of clothing coming in during June.

I found some jewellery in a drawer which made me check my jewellery box again and found some pieces to go.  One bracelet I tried on pinged as I put it on my wrist and all the beads scattered but I gathered them up and put them in a bank bag as potential project for someone and into the cs bag.

I have started a new cs bag and it is hanging on the door handle so I can pop stuff in as I pass.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m 
3. Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed

So much for seeing everyone later 😞 Sunday continued: The heavens opened at 17:30 although it only lasted 30 minutes 😮‍💨 so DH was able to manage his walk. Foolishly I thought I would start dinner when he got back……..but he was gone for 90 minutes so it was a bit late to start cooking 😔 DH ordered in - burgers & fries - so not helping much with the WLP 😞 Ernie was a bit kinder to me this month as I won £25, very kind to DH £150 & very mean to DSis £0. News from France is that my nephew’s step mum finally put in an appearance at the hospital & promptly broke down 😢 Hopefully she will be OK. Meanwhile nephew’s dad (P) is still being kept in a coma - 3rd day in a row. As a bit of lightheartedness whoever affixed the tubes to P’s face has used little teddy bear plasters 🙂 

Wudupa then treated myself to watching Jaws & Jaws 2 😂

More chipping away for today.  I needed to sew on a button and then got distracted by the sewing box that was overflowing, so I decluttered lots of the contents.

Monday is another overcast & dark day, high 23° low 17° humidity 71% It is also quite breezy & rain is forecast. DSis has a load in the wm. DH went for his walk @ 16:00 & will probably get wet as it has darkened very quickly 😥 Will now attempt to catch up with the cheerleading, starting from posts dated 2nd August - wish me luck 🍀 

Dizzycap, This “Personally, I don't worry about weight I concentrate on feeling well, so if that means a change in diet or exercise etc, I do it without the weighing scales or the need to have a daily / weekly weigh in - I just listen carefully to my body 😉” is a great attitude & I imagine does result in weight loss 🤔 A very busy week & very ‘babyface-centric’ 👏 So pleased to hear that babyface is finally back to her ‘fruit loop’ crazy self 🥹 Sounds like Gorda is getting on very well 🥹 & hopefully her nail clipping appointment goes off without a hitch 🤞I am keeping everything crossed that Nourish finds a new loving home very quickly 🤞🙏

daisy_1571, loved This “I can confirm that if you go to answer the door with a headband featuring a 3d furry hamster people will notice... but won't say anything 😆 😂  if I see one of my novelty headbands lying around I often shove it on rather than tidy it then I get used to the feeling of whatever Ive stuck on my bonce and forget its there” especially the very practical solution to tidying up 😂 What an absolutely brilliant result on the house insurance 🥳 no wonder you are so happy 😁 Excellent work sorting out the paperwork molehills 👏 very impressive & worthy of a Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way. Helloooooooo!!!!! We went away to Bucks and my old stamping grounds this weekend. A friend of mine turned x0 and had a party-I caught up with a lot of people, my god children and also had a good wander round my old haunts. It was brilliant and I laid a lot of ghosts to rest and had closure over things that have haunted me for 25 odd years. We stayed in an Airbnb which was clean in a good area and had the steepest windy stairs I’ve ever seen in my life!
Rogan was very well looked after and spoilt rotten and hasn’t left my side since we’ve been back.
Took today off and glad I did!!! Very tired but a good tired.
Thank you for my star and medals and flowers MrsSD - I was wondering if I’d earnt any 🤣
in bed now with a book xx

I meant to post the other day but the sun and sangria got in the way. 
I had two aunties die within a week of each other. One had refused to do anything and the family had limited time to declutter as it was rented. That was a lot of stress.

The other had spent the last few years of her life going through everything and either gifting it, or disposing through charity shops etc. There was very little to do for her family and allowed them to grieve properly rather than rush to allocate her things to where it needed to go. 

I know which option I will be doing from now on. One was very stressful.

Hi all, another day of cleaning and tidying. OH has tackled 1 pile by basically putting it in 6 carrier bags and moving them to the stairs to be carried up and put I know not where 😁. I am assured that they will be sorted at some point. The other pile has not been touched yet and I will be putting it all in more carrier bags tomorrow if all else fails 😁.  I have taken 17 items to the cs, 2 cardboard boxes broken down and into the recycling, 2 LDFPA after the rain as the wind was blowing they dried quite quickly 😁. Kitchen recycling, lr recycling and lr bin were emptied.  I am knackered 😂. OH commented at one point we should try to keep it like this. A lightbulb moment for OH I think 😁. I have hopes that the kitchen at least will stay reasonably tidy now.

I am keeping up with all the posts but my brain is refusing to remember things so hugs to anybody who would like one and I am off to bed now

Monday continued: Dinner was pork medallions in a creamy mushroom sauce, with mash & mixed vegetables from the freezer 😋 DSis & I have just watched episode 2 of Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins & were hard pressed to recognise 2/3rds of them & reading about them didn’t help much either 😂 No spoilers but we spent the first 10 minutes laughing 🤣 We also watched the last episode of Homicide Life on the Street. Wudupa

Good morning all 

Babyface woke me up at silly o'clock It's a washing day but fortunately only 1 load  but not before cluttering up the washing machine after decluttering my first coffee Had a very busy day yesterday decluttering other peoples money    with doing a sick neighbours shopping, collecting medication for gorgeous Gorda ready for her vet visit today & being very MSE with finding the exact same holiday package with exact same accomodation online for the required dates but with far better flights  for one of my mothers dearest friends and at a whopping 50% off what was quoted from several travel agents! All booked, paid for, confirmed, & printed off within 20 minutes  They were absolutely delighted  & I was thrilled for them! 

Today's decluttering: Babyface is back on rest  - don't ask!, I'm taking Gorda to the vet this afternoon, but need to do a wash load and peg out, sort babyface out with medication and foot soaking draining & putting on socks (now done!) , potter and clear up in the back garden along with any pot  / sheltered watering and hopefully giving the lawn a quick long cut mid morning followed by cluttering up the garden waste wheelie bin as well as the usual basic HH cleaning & decluttering (now done!) - The best laid plans  Time to finish my 2nd coffee & put the washing out on the line.
