Friday: Cloudy & occasionally very dark with a high of 21°C, low 14°C & humidity 58% Forgot to mention that I paid the milkman at 00:30. Since the dairy changed my delivery days I have been receiving my milk between midnight & 1:00 a.m. rather than between 03:00 & 05:00. After a quick chat with the milkman I discovered the reason for the delivery change was that the dairy has lost a milkman & been unable to hire a replacement so the ‘round’ has been shared out. My poor milkman seems to have born the brunt & now has 150 extra deliveries & is working exceedingly long shifts from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. He is currently absolutely exhausted 😩 DH left at 14:15 to return the BP monitor to the hospital. He has managed to add 10 more bus routes over the last 2 days - I think he is almost at 100 out of over 500 😥 although thankfully he has advised me that he won’t be trying to do them all this year 🤣 Straight into cheerleading:-
Wednesday2000, sounds like you had a wonderful time at the Oasis concert ☺️ Not my cup of tea although I do like a couple of their songs 😉 Hopefully you managed to recover enough to attend your class last night 😉
London_1, hopefully you had a lovely meal last night, just the four of you 😊 Fingers crossed that you missed the storms & also that eldest DD wasn’t too badly affected by the torrential rain 🤞
Nice to see you charlies_tribe 👋 Sounds like you are spending more time tidying & decluttering rather than posting which is a good thing 😊 Keeping my fingers crossed that your listings will engender some interest 🤞
Lovely post retiredinfrance ☺️ More excellent decluttering 👏 What a great idea from your DH 👏
Happy anniversary vulpix & MrV 🎉 🥂 Good job you both forgot as it can cause a slight issue if only one person forgets 🙊 & yes I am the only one who has ever forgotten ours 🤣 Excellent work with both the painting & the continued packing 👏 Sorry to hear This “I am having massive anxiety about the new house today. I do hope it turns out to be a good choice.” 😔 but I am sure that your new house will be lovely once you start putting the ‘vulpix touch’ to it 😊 Hope you have a lovely time with your friend 🥹 although This “…….. with a mill fabric shop across the road. Get thee behind me Satan.” had me in absolute stitches 🤣
Liverpool_Anne so pleased to hear that the dentist visit was OK 😮💨 Excellent decluttering 👏 & what a great bonus in finding your electric saw 🥳 No telling what you might find as OH continues decluttering his clothes 😅 Condolences to the family of OH’s neighbour 🥺 Good luck with the tidying 🍀 I am sure you will soon be back on track 😊
suzeesu2000, pleased to hear that you were spared the worst of the storms 😮💨
QueenJess, what a perfect way to declutter stress 🥹
All caught up so I will wish everyone as good a day as possible 😊 & I will see you later 👋

Wondering how to dispose of a wee timorous beastie that is laying cold, paws up, outside the kitchen door. I suspect that it is in it's current condition due to one of the cats that pounce in our garden (not our cats, but we like them) or a fox or dropped by one of the various raptors that fly very very high up searching for hot spots.
OH says to bin it. But that seems wasteful and not of due respect to its place in the food hierarchy and the effort some predator might have made to dump it there.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Just a quick check in as just back from holiday, I am exhausted and need to get up to do the food shop tomorrow morning. As usual I've come back from holiday and wondered why I have so much stuff in the house, so it's definitely time for more decluttering. If only that post holiday feeling lasts a bit longer, I could blast through everything in the house and be done! However, I took some things to use up on holiday (like loads of suncreams part used) to use up and I did go through some digital clutter as well in a quiet moment. I also found some of DD's clothes to declutter when I was putting away unused things from holiday, although I expect there is much more in there.Digital:
41 - notes deleted
48 - photos deleted
1 - app deleted (only needed for an old work job)
21 - items deleted from wish list
Physical:
1 - kitchen cupboard overstock used up
3 - suncream used up
2 - bathroom overstock used up
1 - DD odd sock (recycled)
2 - DD clothes grown out of/doesn’t wear (charity bag)New total 3,670
Use it up total 315

Evening All, slowly decluttering stuff, just find it hard to keep track of no's. Listed things on vinted this week and 4 sold already. I price them to sell. Will try to get more up, DD loves helping with it.
We went camping last weekend near Monmouth with friends was lovely but tiring then straight back into work all week.
OH is abroad with oldest 2, it is the longest we have been apart in a very long time, Dd and I are looking forward to seeing him on Sunday.

Floriana, loving the pics, thank you for sharing them. I would love to go to the exhibition but would be physically too much for me these days. I have been trying to drum up some interest at craft club and WI in going to London to see the Bayeux tapestry next year. If I could travel on a coach and not have to navigate stations and the tube it would be so much easier for me.
I bought fabric to make the due baby a quilt and a £1 linen oddment to make a cushion cover for me. We had a stroll round the garden centre and the prices were reasonable but I resisted.
I have been wearing a tee shirt that Mr V decluttered. Why? it does me no favours and I have enough clothes of my own. For the chazzer tomorrow a tee shirt and a too big bra. Now I know why I never choose to wear it, It's too big.
Tomorrow we are off to see the jeweller again. Mr V has a ring he wants made smaller, I have a ring I want made bigger and I found a little silver trinket dish when I was packing, with squashed feet, perhaps the guy can work his magic on them! Then it's on to DD1's for another assault on her big garden. Hopefully a curry to follow.

Not a lot done yesterday, as I was busy at the big event in Derby. Seemed to be going well.
Here's a picture - but this was taken on set-up day before there were thousands of people on site!Decluttering awards 2025: 🏅🏅🏅⭐️ ⭐️, DH: 🏅⭐️ and one for Mum: 🏅15 -
@YBR you sound so busy, have you moved yet?
@Vulpix picked up somewhere in the thread that you have concerns about your new house. I am sure you will make it a lovely home and look forward to seeing photos. I may have to ask for details of your jeweller as I have a boxful that I need to see if I can get repaired or adjusted and then pass the rest on.
Have some emails and sorting papers that are lying around and generally sorting from last week but do feel I am slowing down generally!

Friday continued: DH & DSis went shopping with a small list @ 18:15. As I couldn’t be bothered to cook when they came back, DH ordered in - Chinese but only one special fried rice divided between the 3 of us, one sweet & sour chicken + one bean sprouts shared between DH & me; spare ribs for DSis + DSis had some banana fritters.
