A quick post as I am trying to do lots of things whilst DS2 and family are away. I am trying to make sense of when my road will be closed because of resurfacing round the corner - can't make sense of the letters - a different one came yesterday. I can walk down and get DS2's car (I am named driver) but there's a hill to walk back up. I have arranged for someone to look at blinds Friday but now think he will not be able to get here. They appear to be going to cut off a large area with no access allowed for 2-3 days - a lot of older and less mobile people as lots of bungalows. The road needs resurfacing but no alternative access other than on foot for about 200 properties.
I had a day out at Whitby yesterday and enjoyed a short boat ride and fish and chips. Coach trip so no driving. Today there is a garden visit with promise of coffee and cakes. About to load car up again to try and get rid of more stuff.
636 Lined more kitchen shelves and cupboards and rearranged a few things
637 Banking done
638 Planted some pots and replaced hanging basket flowers which die while I was away
639 DS2 dismantled wardrobe in bedroom 2
640 Dismantled bed in bedroom 2
641 Moved all DGD4's clothes to DS2's house
642 Two doors replaced and old ones taken away
643 Car load of bits of cupboards and furniture to tip
644 Two bags of plastics to SM
645 Curtains to textile recycling
646 Pelmet and curtain rail removed and out
647 Random metal bits to recycling
648 Car parking for airport paid
Right I do have lots of frogs to get on with but going to see what I can get in my car for tip first.2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Odd one here......I'm decluttering a pot of dead sunflowers to my art teacher. We were working on pictures of fairly robust sunflowers yesterday and she commented that dead ones are actually much more interesting, particularly when drawing them. I mentioned I had some small ones that had just finished flowering and look quite sad now and her eyes lit up. I'm leaving them in the pot I grew them in but will ask for that back when she's done with them as it's one of 2 the OH bought me last year. The second pot is just getting ready to flower which will be nice - I have it outside the lounge doors so I can see it from where I sit on the sofa. These ones are even smaller than the first batch, not more than about a foot high!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Good Afternoon all@ weenancyinAmerica - Awesome going with the 2 day book sale & lots of happy customers. We have local area yard sales on a rota but unusually, this month very few people came
I've never ran one, only because I don't have the energy to get everything loaded outside, sell, & bring back in what's left. I hope you do many more
@ GrannyKate - You're on a blast with the decluttering now everyone is out of the way for a while. Make sure you take a few breaks along the way to keep your sanity xxxWhat's happening today?Up again at silly o'clock so the usuall HH bins, surfaces & fridge cleaned while kettle boiling. 2 loads of washing done & out on the line while drinking coffee and shredding a small pile of paperwork decluttering into the recycling bin & catching up on emails, mainly junk declutteing!Watered the sheltered pots in the porch & front garden & deheaded the spent roses before giving them another feed and good watering. Had a quick sling around of the hoover & aired the bedroom, bathroom & lounge before having a shower, getting dressed and then sorting babyface out with cleaning & medication. We've been out for a walk wit Missy in the doggie trolly and having a walk around to get her jobs done before we went off to Budgens to pick her up some treats, which she picked out
Back home for a large lunch for Missy and another clean up before she's finally crashed out snoring away with waggy tail, so she's well on the mend
Time for me to take a breather, drink some welcomed coffee, & go through todays snail mail
I hope that everyone is having a peaceful decluttering day. Take care & ta-ta for now xxxx

Lunch time had over of vintage casserole dish to lovely young man. Took from.my dad's as memories of taking the fat off the mince for my mum, mince and stew weekly food . He was so happy and I have many more I prefer.
Item sold, packaging and box and sent
Items returned to JL ), keeping one pack of underwear but rest back.
Noticing some areas of the house less cluttered but still lots to do. The person after the day bed has disappeared and someone interested in a set of glasses.

Decluttered some dead branches from the camellia tree/bush it’s really getting a bit too straggly and untidy and as the garden waste company picks up tomorrow I thought it will help fill the bin up a bit , plus some of the over large hebe bush and lots of dead headed bits of geraniums once I have those small pruners in my hand I look around for things to trim down a bit.I dislike looking at dead wood 🤣 the boys and DD had a nice time fishing and tomorrow Jack is going to declutter some of my potato patch
I have a nice jute bag for them to go in and the greenery was really brown so that got clipped back this afternoon
Simon ( son-in-law) is making a nice chicken curry tonight from left over chicken from Sunday

I am a bit late I think but today I have been attacked by the rose bushes as I snip off the rose hips and give them a trim. I didn't do it last year and they have gone rampant and become very untidy. 2 bags full ready to go. I usually sit with a drink when gardening but always see something else to do and don't sit still long. This week was the launch of the big butterfly count and I have been taking 15 minutes out to enjoy nature and count the different ones that come into our garden. I recommend it. I can actually feel the stress draining out of me . You wouldn't believe the different butterflys we have seen either. For variety we have done it a couple of times whilst walking the neighbours dog too. If any of you need a bit of TLC and can't get to the carriage give it a go.🦋

Lots of dust decluttered plus a few things into recycling. Several things cleaned and put away. Not enough brain power so far this week for eating frogs or clearing more papers.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅1
