Finish working at home for the day and going to mop floors. Popped to the donation place and took footballs and also folders and school stuff , as 2 bags counting as 2 as things in already counted I think and bag of medicines returned with another added so another 2.
@vulpix lovely dress and inspired me to pop in cs which has £2 section..not as good as your picking but picked up gym t shirt, pink top which will stop me buying another pink top, black warehouse trousers ( washable and always useable) and a black polo style black top ( always useful) and realise that I will always be rotating clothes with cs and that's fine.
Taking a casserole amd dish to work for someone as easier for them than se london , we'll packaged and enquiry re day bed nut nothing confirmed.
Off to mop.

Good evening all@ Florenceem - Thrilled to see you; and I know others will be too, and relieved that its been a case of you've been rushed off your feet more than usual xxx I hope Mr F is doing ok too xxWhat's been happening today? The usual HH basic bin decluttering & cleaning done along with decluttering some bits in the back garden and a very early Vets appointment for babyface. Other than that, I've cluttered up the washing machine ready for an early morning wash tomorrow & had to cluttering up on some long rest today as I'm finishing off antibiotics over the next 2 days for infection
Loving all the rain over the past couple of days & lovely cooler temperatures, although I slept through most of it this afternoon, even the thunder storm
I managed a little dinner tonight before sorting babyface out with foot soaking, removing one of the foreign objects in one of her toes with discharge & draining it off, cleaning & sterilising before drainage bandaging her back right foot - Don't ask! I've got another 2 foreigh objects to get out of another of her outer back toes tomorrow but I need to do it slowly to make sure I remove everything whilst having to get antibiotics in her asap along with pain & inflamation medication to knock her out while each toe drains off naturally - Never a dull moment on crazy animal farm
Now missy is snoring her head off, I'm off for a well deserved large mug of coffee before catching up with a few bits of necessary snail mail
Wishing everyone a relaxing and peaceful nihgt - Take care all & ta-ta for now xxx

Glad to know alls relatively well Florenceem we were getting worried as you are such a busy lady and looking after MrF as well must take its toll on you
well we did have a good deal of rain first thing this morning but it cleared up by lunchtime
I’ve been feeding the boys up and they seem to Hoover up what ever is around. Especially Mikey bless him, his Dad made a gorgeous roast chicken yesterday with all the trimmings and Mikey said it was the best he had tasted since Easter. That boy is so skinny I shall enjoy filling him up for the next couple of months 🤣
I treated the boys to the cinema in Ryde this afternoon
it’s a little independent one and the tickets are a fiver each which I thought wasn’t bad
we saw Superman, lots of special effects and noise but the lads loved it This morning Jack whizzed me into the library for my books so I said we would go the the cinema
the film isn’t my cup of tea but they like all the nonsense 🤣🤣
First time I’d been there and it’s pretty old and a bit tatty but it’s part of the economy in Ryde where most shops etc are small independent businesses
To say it’s old is no over estimating it as you go in there are posters if old movies attached to the walls and one was if Robert Mitchum from a 1947 film 🤣🤣🤣 Mikey said ‘do you remember him Nanny’ and I said yes he looks a bit like your late granddad
bless him he said
‘ yes a little bit, but I think he’s not as good looking as granddad was’
Which I thought was sweet as he was born the year after my late husband died so never knew him
When he was about 4 his brothers were talking about their big daft funny granddad and Mikey asked me ‘did I think Granddad would have liked me Nanny ? ‘I said yes of course he would sweetheart
he looked at me and with the solemnity and logic that only a four year old can think of said
‘Why didn’t he wait for me to be born then ‘ 🙂
hard to answer that one so I just said well you’ve got something your brothers haven’t got as you were named after him
that seemed to satisfy him, but he often wants to know about him and often asks about what he did. It’s strange as he is very like him , very happy go lucky and always laughing about life
He also has his Granddads keyboard and guitar and plays them both where as none of his three brothers do, as much as him and his hobbies are similar to his granddads as well Music, photography, films etc, in fact his degree he is doing is in photography and films, and he loves music as well and is a part time DJ
Tomorrow my DD and the boys are going fishing so I will be in the garden with the dogs and a book and a cuppa If it’s not too hot I may do some decluttering if some weeds
The tomatoes are doing well and just turning red and my pepper plant has several pepper on it that look like they will do well
right night night God bless all here

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Monday continued: I didn’t quite do nothing 😂 Sorted out my carrier bag/bread bag collection - 5 plastic bags added to CS bag. When DH ordered the coffee machine, he also ordered a box of different flavoured pods which has been cluttering up the dining room table 😞 However I have now managed to rearrange a couple of cubbyholes in the dining room wall unit & all the coffee is now properly stored & I even managed to break down & put the cardboard box in the recycling wheelie bin 🥳
Started raining 17:20 + thunder 17:43 then stopped for a while but have had a couple more showers & it is noticeably cooler. Dinner was gammon shanks, oven chips & baked beans for DH & DSis - I had a little bit of gammon with a fried egg. Wudupa.
1331 - 1335 Kitchen recycling, cardboard box, drinks cans, 2 cardboard boxes - recycled
1336 - 1337 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
1338 Broken watch added to Tip bag
Florenceem, I am joining in with everyone else in saying how lovely it is to see you 😊 We should have known that you were busy 😉 Great work sorting out your craft stash 👏 although I am not at all surprised at This “I have to confess to going to a Church friend's house and coming home with a lot of fabric. His wife was a sewer and sadly passed away recently.” Condolences to your friend on his loss 😢 & very kind of you to take the fabric which I am certain you will make use of 🥹 As to This “The next door care home are applying for planning permission to do an extension. I have been liaising with a neighbour and studying the drawings.” good luck as I seem to remember that there have been issues with the care home 🍀 Again, it is lovely to have you back 😊
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 Good luck pushing frogs 🍀
Dizzycap, a busy day 👏 It sounds like Miss babyface is determined to keep you
on your toes with yet another injury 😔 Good luck dealing with the snail mail 🍀
London_1, pleased to hear that you are feeding up both your grandsons but especially Mikey 🥹 What a lovely & sensitive young man he is - as well as being wise beyond his years at age 4 & again now 🥹 Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow & that DD & the boys have a successful day of fishing 😊
Well said daisy_1571 🥹

Had our two day book sale this last weekend. Lots of happy customers, most of whom come back every month. We had a number of new people also, who sound like they will become regulars. Took in 5 bags of plastic bags for the sale (books are $2 a bag). Had to carry them in on the local bus for those in walkers. Fortunately only one other customer on the bus that morning. Only brought three books home - two for Christmas presents.
My sister called last night to say that she and my nephew (aged 42) would be coming a week from Thursday to help us declutter the room we laughingly refer to as the library. It used to have shelved books in it, but the shelves are now the pantry. The stuff in there belongs to about eight different people including one who went back to Wales years ago and one who went back to live in Missouri for mental health reasons (and is doing better there). But it is just a stack of stuff at the moment. Not sure what is even at the bottom, except there are about fifteen boxes of roommate Di's books at the back blocking the way to the piano. I need to box up some stuff that is in shallow shelves as there are several of my books there that I used to print myself. Going to be very stressful for the next couple of weeks here. Roommates are going to have to get their stuff out of the room. Can't count on them though. I gave two of them a shopping list today of things to get - and they didn't even look at it. Got a lot of stuff for themselves - but not the two items for me on the list. My motto is still "If it is to be, it is up to me".
There will be community dumpsters put out next Friday and the following Monday so I hope to have some things to go then with the help of the missionaries (if they have the time, they have had to cancel twice). But I may put out a lot of stuff for people to take free this weekend in our front yard. Get rid of some it anyway.
Today is trash out day. I still have some time in the morning to get more out there.
I hope everyone is able to survive the rain and thunder. Our weather has been reasonable this past week, except it has been grey and gloomy in the mornings. Temperature set to go up next week. We really haven't had our normal summer yet.11 -
Hi, good to hear you and Mr F are ok Florenceem. Everyone is invested in how you are getting on,it's such a supportive community here.
Same for you Weenancy. I am very pleased that you are getting some help. I am flabbergasted that the people who live in your house and take advantage of you can't pick you up something from the shop when they were going anyway. Disgraceful selfish people.
I have to rant and run, going to a funeral in Nottingham today. Mr V is doing the eulogy. It's Mr V's band days friends, the topic of my unwritten book. It will be a long day.
