I am hoping @Florenceemis okay as she has so much to deal with. We did have all those annoying technical problems on the site which was incredibly frustrating and caused me to get out of the posting habit. Hopefully it is just that and generally being busy 🤞
A cooler day, plus reading of inspiring MSEers decluttering was just the impetus I needed to get myself going again. I have two bags of clothes ready to go to the CS and a full sack to go for shredding. I went through the pile of brochures, news sheets and pamphlets to reduce down to only the current few. An aged pair of heeled sandals went in the bin as they were falling apart and I can’t wear heels anymore anyway. Some old boots should go but I am struggling with that. I will force myself to wear them and decide if they are really comfortable enough for my dodgy hooves. Picked everything up from the downstairs apart from the largest pieces of furniture, vacuumed and mopped throughout. Now I don’t want to put some of it back as it was so nice having a clear floor. Will have a think about what can go.Hope everyone has a good week 😊 and hugs for anyone who isn’t feeling too good at the moment xx10 -
Did a 10 min tidy this morning; mainly in DD's room as it was a bit messy with papers. Managed to find quite a bit to declutter whilst I tidied up. There's definitely more to go in the house, but it's getting harder to spot.51 - paper recycled

Big kitchen declutter challenge 78/150As I've met my goals for the year, I've added new very high goals on for use up and decluttering targets. The decluttering target is slightly scientific as the first year of the massive declutter I got rid of 40,000 things, then the second year was 18,000. That's a 45% drop. So 45% of 18,000 is 8,100 which I rounded down to 8,000. The use up may not be possible (not sure if I have that much in stock to use up, but I thought I may as well have a high target to aim for. Hopefully the targets keep coming down as I keep clutter at bay and hopefully bring less in *fingers crossed*.Hoping for a 10 min cleaning session later as well, but I'm considering what the most pressing thing is for the list next.2025 decluttering: 3,452🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

We are off to the seaside shortly. We haven't been to North Lincolnshire for ages so we need to rectify that.
Here’s the £2 dress. It’s more fancy at the back. It hasn’t photographed too well but the fabric is beautiful.Take care all Vx:10 -

Gosh that dress looks fabulous, well done at £2.00 its got to be the bargain of the month
DGS Jack just popped me into Ryde to the librar,y where I decluttered two library books, and collected 4 Kate Atkinson ones I had on orde r:)
That's me settled for reading in the garden for a couple of weeks, I love her writing, and have been waiting about ten days before they were all together to pick up from Ryde saves me going backwards and forwards.
DGS Jack found a Philosophy book in the library that he's been searching for so I got it out on loan for him to read while he is here.
So I am now feet up and in the garden with my book and a nice cuppa and a cool breeze what could be nicerI've done all my chores for the day and a line of washing is out blowing nicely on the line
Eldest DD arrived back from her holiday in Zante at Stanstead and had to wait ages for their luggage, so never actually arrived home in Kent until gone 1,00 am this morning. She was up again at 6.00 for work so she will be worn out by the time she gets back home from work at 4.30 this afternoon. She will ring around 12.15 for a quick moan (natter) as usual
Her and DGD Holly are coming over for the day next Monday hopefully she will have recovered her equilibrium by then.
DGS Mikey I could hear crashing around this morning trying to sort out his worldly possessions that came with him from Uni on Saturday. He has lots of stuff to declutter so I expect there will be a tip run at some point when he's sorted it all out He is here until the end of September so he can take his time and hopefully take less stuff back with him when he returns for his third year
Right onwards and upwards
JackieO xx
PS I hope Florenceem and Mr F are OK

29/52 - 3 big empty bags of dog food recycled at the supermarket. More importantly I've now found a recycling point for these bags as i can't recycle in our kerbside collection bin at home. So this will now just become part of my regular decluttering.8

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Monday: Drizzling 05:00 to 07:00. It is another warm, muggy day - high 23°C, low 15°C & humidity 66% Hopefully we will get some proper rain later to clear the air 🤞Still no sign of the recycling chaps - the wheelie bin is now bursting at the seams 😬

London_1, pleased to hear that that your grandsons arrived safely ☺️ Hope they had a relaxing Sunday & that you have started on Project Feed Mikey 🥹 Hopefully once Mikey has relaxed for a few days he can thin out his possessions ready for his last year at uni 🤞Where has the time gone 😥 I seem to remember you posting about how exciting it was that Mikey was on his way to uni 🥹
As several of our Declutterati family have expressed concern that Florenceem has been absent for a while, I have PM’d her today. Also I am giving a shout out to other ‘absent’ members of our family - Siebrie & dND come to mind immediately - & am hoping that you are all doing well 🙏 We would love to ‘see’ you all 🥹
Dizzycap, I hope you are OK & that you will go to the doctor if Miss babyface continues to ‘sniff your leg’ 🙏
Thanks for that daisy_1571 👏
QueenJess, excellent use of your 10 minute stints of tidying, cleaning & decluttering 👏 You are definitely sounding more positive 🥹 Very relieved to hear (long may it continue 🤞) that your parents ‘seem’ to have got the message that they don’t need to bring lots of ‘presents’ for their grandchildren 🙏 Good luck with your continuing ‘Project Use Up’ of food products 🍀
florianatwobob, my tuppence worth is that getting comfortable footwear repaired by a professional is worth its weight in gold 🥹 Long may your shoe repairer be in business 🙏
Dizzycap, great news about the sales 👏 Fingers crossed that more of your listings are snapped up 🤞
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 Wishing you continued progress & good luck dealing with frogs 😊
Excellent decluttering & cleaning Moorviews 👏 Fingers crossed that you manage to declutter the boots & that any decisions re furniture are easy to reach 🤞
More excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 I really admire how you keep setting targets & how you are always challenging yourself with your targets 🤩🥹
vulpix, that dress is beautiful 😍 & almost looks like silk 🤔 Hope you enjoy your day at the beach 😊
London_1, sounds like Jack is starting to relax & I hope he has joined you in the garden 🥹 Shame about the delayed luggage, but hopefully DD1 will have a quiet day at work & can relax when she gets home 🙏 Sounds like DGS Mikey is in a hurry to get his decluttering done, so he can spend the rest of his time relaxing & enjoying being with his gran 🥹
Excellent decluttering Rootle & well done on finding a way to recycle dog food bags 👏
All caught up 🥳 Now I need to ‘stir my stumps’ & find something useful to do although will probably end up doing nothing 🤣 My ‘decluttering mojo’ is currently on a permanent sabbatical 😔 Hope everyone is having as good a day as possible 😊 See you later 👋

Hi all, sorry for being AWOL.
I still haven't read all the posts on here that I need to.
I usually have a busy life and lately has been no different or maybe more hectic.
Yes - I don't say no.
So what have I been up to -
1. Counting money at SA in the morning and attending a funeral in the afternoon at our old Church. Lovely to meet up with old friends but a sad time.
2. Lots of sorting of my craft stash and taking to the charity shop. I have to confess to going to a Church friend's house and coming home with a lot of fabric. His wife was a sewer and sadly passed away recently.
3. Looking after Mr F. I weighed him and he had gained 1 stone 3 lb in 7 weeks! So easy to put on weight when you are not mobile. Mr F has lost 7 lbs so far as I have tweaked his diet.
4. I got involved with a social aspect of SA work - supporting a Church member. This involved travelling to Folkestone.
5. Our town had Ramsgate Day - lots of events happened. We went to watch old films about the town.
6. Of course we have been attending Church on a Sunday. One week I sat down in the prayer meeting before the service and got called out as a First Aider. Fortunately my patient fared well.
7. Our Granddaughter has gone back to working a few shifts at a local farm shop. She did stock control and fetched OOD and SD chutney and jams to me which I transported to the local community shop.
8. I did sorting of donations at SA - we have received so many recently.
9. I arranged the flowers for a SA soldier's funeral and spoke during the service plus helped with refreshments.
10. The next door care home are applying for planning permission to do an extension. I have been liaising with a neighbour and studying the drawings.
11. I was asked to repair a Tee Shirt by a friend and to alter sleeves of a dress by another friend's daughter so that took some of my time.
12. A Church friend was taken to hospital and text me at 9.30pm on a Sunday evening.. I asked if anyone was with her - no so I got a taxi there. I stayed until 3.30 am. A & E was heaving - I was still in my SA uniform as had a lazy afternoon and not changed. I ended up getting drinks for patients unable to get to the refreshments trolley and helping an old chap to and from the toilet. Obviously I was exhausted the next day.
