@BridgetTheCat well done getting rid of a mountain..
People not followed up picking up or buying which is disappointing. No decluttering except I remember I threw out 2 cat toys last weekend.
Struggling with frogs, 2 emails sent one took ages to draft and hours working on them after work this week. Have to email ex which I put off for too long as I worry he phone or email and be atroppu..shouldn't let it bother me and esp not to the extent that I am late with papers.
Have list to do tomorrow, working at home so can use lunchtime and travelling time and then evening picnic with friends.
Watching too many dramas late after frogs for some escapism.think dcousin funeral and court stuff will be day after each other...
Did some mopping the other day and hoovering this evening so trying to not tip into too much squalor10 -
When I was at Haddon Hall last week, I happened to be at the kiosk when 2 people came to do a butterfly count. They went off by the river in the meadows. I didn't know it was a "thing". I have noticed a lot more butterflies around my garden this year. I assume it is because we had a warm dry spring.
My cats ignore their water bowl and prefer to drink from puddles, the bird bath or pond lily container.
Toiletries and a lipstick used up. Everything decluttered now is something less to take to the new house.
2 necklaces and a pair of Austrian crystal earrings for the chazzer. The necklaces were gifts. Sadly one is just not me and the other very uncomfortable.
drum roll please... I spent an hour on the ironing, about half of it done. I will have another stint tomorrow. I have left the iron and board out to shame me.
I emptied my knitting basket and found DD1's skirt for altering which I had completely forgotten about and a top of mine which I cut the lining out of the sleeves and made a bit of a pigs ear! I will do something towards them tomorrow and I will clear up the terracotta pot that my neighbour ran over. Frogs, frogs frogs.

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday: Rained about 06:00 & then rained on & off all day - a mixture of drizzle & heavy rain - high 21°C, low 16°C & humidity 68%. The good news for the day was that the recycling wheelie bin was emptied, the not so good news is that it is half full again 😉 I wrote a 4 day menu plan + shopping list. DH & DSis set off 14:05. Back about 15:40, I put everything away. Dinner was sausages, mash & baked beans. Wudupa.
1350 - 1357 Kitchen & office recycling, 3 large cardboard boxes, drinks cans, glass bottle, magazine - recycled
Soontobeoap, sounds wonderful 🥹 & as you say if spotting & counting butterflies means you sit & relax for a while it is even better ☺️
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 Hopefully the planned tidying will help you find more items to declutter 🤞
BridgetTheCat, great work by you & your cleaner 👏 Good luck with the mountain under the table 🍀
Excellent decluttering QueenJess especially as most of it seems to be as a result of tidying 👏
YBR, how exciting - less than 3 weeks before you move 🥳 Sounds like work have dropped the ball, so it is a good job you have been training & mentoring your colleagues 👏 Hopefully with your DDs out, you can have some uninterrupted packing time 🤞

Good morning good people, sorry that I've been AWOL again. By the time I finish reading the new posts it is usually time to get sucked into the general chaos that is everyday life in this house. Ds is going out tomorrow and I can't wait for some peace and quiet.
My decluttering count is up to 140 and we dropped a bag of "things" off at the charity shop yesterday. Ds was fed up of decluttering after 4 shelves (2 in each cupboard) but the stuff that he wants to keep from those shelves is now packed neatly away in plastic tubs. Mostly for my benefit - when/if he leaves home I can just shove the tubs in the car and deliver them 😄 The rest of the shelves will get done eventually.
The kitten has her 2nd lot of jabs today so in two weeks time she will finally be able to meet next doors cat face to face. She's eager to say hello but I'm not sure that NDC feels the same. Hopefully a few dreamies will smooth the introduction. They have been chatting through the french windows so he's well aware of her. He's probably just enquiring about any dinner leftovers as he's a bit of a "Six Dinner Sid".
@Dizzycap, I'm glad that babyface is starting to show more signs of improvement.
Mrs S_D good luck with the healthy eating.
@vulpix I have some Goss china (back in the day souvenirs) from Haddon Hall with the crest of Dorothy Vernon on them. I'd like to go for a visit there one day.

Cranky, I would recommend a visit to Haddon Hall. They have a fabulous Christmas market which I think is better than Chatsworth's. Haddon is so ancient, unspoiled and un modernized. I am amazed the Victorians kept their hands off it. I am allegedly a descendant of Dorothy Vernon, just me and thousands of other people I imagine.
It must be time for another photo of your lovely little kitten.

suzeesu2000 said:@Dizzycap “I had to laugh at his Lordship not liking plastic bowls. Babyface refuses to eat off or drink out of anything, unless it's the family best china, Not that she's spoilt in the least!”Frankie doesn’t mind the single plastic bowls, he just doesn’t like the connected ones. He has big heavy stoneware ones for his water as he likes to paddle, little weirdo. Our little furry girl cat would only drink water out of my glass on the bedside cabinet and I didn’t mind one bit. I used a plastic bottle. If my “kids” are happy, then so am I
Decluttered 2 cardboard boxes of their contents. Intents disposed of. One box in recycling other will be used to send some bits to mum. Now have clear access to the big plastic boxes with lids. Am on track for having bedroom done by 31st.Hope everyone is doing okay xx

For work to have dropped the ball, they'd have have to picked it up in the first place. The invisible powers think you can buy extra competent engineers when you need them, but at the other end we think differently.Up at 4:30am ish this morning because I'd already been awake for ages and had given up, thus various tidying, & filing is progressed, buildings insurance done, Greenhouse pieces all wrapped up and now I'm shattered and heading for a break (possibly a nap). Our first cat Wimsey used to like curling up in the bathroom sink and have the tap turned on so he could lick the water off his fur.
