@Dizzycap thank you, and i am putting decluttering on back burner for 12 days approx. Going through 10 years of papers and legal documents for one frog which I am doing in between bouts of watching one of my dramas.
I'm taking some antibiotics which are making me feel abit ill so will blame that too.
One item at cs was lightweight smart black trousers which are needed for funeral. Wore dark blue at previous but this will be v traditional.
Really helps reading how everyone us doing and of course escapades of new kittens, babyface and others11 -
- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday: a lovely bright day although cloudier & cooler than yesterday - high 23°C, low 16°C & humidity 66% DH left for his dental appointment about 12:15 About 14:00 it suddenly became rather dark although as of 15:22 it hasn’t rained 😮💨 Unlike me, DSis has been busy & has been gradually returning her boxes of stuff from the room of doom to her bedroom 👏 DH got home 16:05. He has had both lower 4th teeth extracted & has been given a few antibiotics to take to prevent infection. The dental surgeon was obviously good at her job as she took the teeth out so quickly that DH was surprised when she said “All Done” He took a while to get home as there were issues on public transport 😞 Currently not in pain. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do for my poor DH 😢
I forgot to mention that last night we had an unwelcome visitor…. the largest spider I have ever seen 😱 & DSis ‘refused’ to do the honourable thing & get rid of it 😂 I had to do it using a large mug as a glass wasn’t big enough 😰
1364 Broken remote added to Tip pile
YBR, I have the same issue with plastic pegs - they degenerate quickly even when in use & not left out ☹️ which reminds me I need to buy some more wooden ones. Pleased to hear that you managed to get a good night’s sleep 😊 Excellent work by your DH 👏 your decluttering example is obviously rubbing off on him 😊 I am awarding you each a medal 🏅🏅 This “[1] It must be a sign of my age that I remember a time before everything had a moulded plug on the end and so everyone was taught how to re-wire a plug in childhood. I occasionally still do but very, very rarely, the classic one being to pass a lead through a small hole in a worktop (usually kitchen) to reach a socket…..” brought back memories - I used to love being able to rewire a plug 😉 as it was about the only bit of DIY I used to do 😂
TC77, This “Young person at work couldn't believe there were days when you had to put your own plug on items, nor could they imagine there were times before duvets! “ had me in stitches 🤣 Next you will be telling me your colleagues don’t know what a can opener is 😂
CRANKY40, oh my goodness, she is absolutely gorgeous 😻 & presumably the 2nd pose is to encourage lots of tummy tickles 😅
Excellent work dealing with the frogs vulpix 👏 Hope you enjoy your trip out 😊
Matty246, what a great idea 👏
Excellent decluttering Soontobeoap 👏
TC77, sorry to hear that you are feeling anxious & stressed about dealing with frogs 😢
Mrs_Money_Penny, hope you are having a lovely holiday on the IoW 😊 More excellent work on digital decluttering 👏 & as you are now at 10,472 a Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way.
Dizzycap, lovely advice/suggestion for TC77 ☺️ In fact a lovely post all round 🥹 Great observation about how weather changes can & do have an affect on our mood/appetite for decluttering 👏
TC77, sounds like you have hit on a good way forward dealing with your frogs ☺️ Good luck 🍀 Hopefully once the course of antibiotics is complete you will start to feel a bit better 🤞
Just popped into the garage to add the broken remote to the Tip pile & whilst there I put the soft drinks in the fridge.
1365 Plastic packaging binned
1366 Cardboard packaging recycled
Hope everyone is having as good a day as possible 😊

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger
next time give me a shout. I'm rather fascinated by spiders. My OH tells me off for playing with them when I find them in the garden and I'm the one to clear them from the house for him too.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Helloooooo
I seem to have missed some pages…..🤔 hope nothing majorly horrible has happened……Cranky that kitten is beautiful 😍😍😍😍😍
Rogan is having the odd chunk of time looking for Pepper which broke my heart the other day. I was in the office Wednesday with the web cam switched on and I lasted til 2pm then shot off to work from home…..We were also at neighbours last night outside and he started howling so hubby went home…..they had a surprise engagement party for one of their sons who asked his girlfriend to marry him while they were on holiday……they were really touched and it was very enjoyable.
Today I pootled round town hoping to buy something to wear for a party and some new sandals but I’m the wrong shape and height so saved some £££ there….but then found an old fashioned sweet shop that’s opened…..anyone remember sweet tobacco? Nominom!
I have just had another lot of tests for SIBO small intestine bacterial overload this time - to do with my breathlessness and watching the figures go up and up - looks like I def have it!!! I’ve said to hubby there will be no more medical tests this year as I’ve had enough. I’m already on a ton of medication and that’s plenty thank you very much!!!!!
Will do a separate post for decluttering figures then go water the garden…..

We went to Southport. Ages since we were last there. A lovely day out. All we bought was an ice lolly each.
Matty what a resourceful idea, thank you. Still not tempted to do the work yet.The skirt is neoprene and has 2 top sewn seams on the front. I will ask DD1 if she would like a contrasting colour instead of colouring it black after sewing, never thought of that. Will deffo do the colouring thing on my top.
Put a top on to go out today and decided it was too low cut. It went in the chazzer bag which we dropped off at the chazzer on the way out.
I am still amazed at how much i find to release after all these years of decluttering. It must work out to be at least one thing a day over and above recycling. You would expect that I would be short of clothes by now. Errr nope.
We have 6 new banana boxes. I will do some kitchen packing tomorrow when Mr V is at work. Post came today from the solicitor, something about the exchange of contracts. Will read it tomorrow and Mr V can drop the reply off on his way to work tomorrow night. Sounds promising.
Muddy I do remember that sweet tobacco, I used to love it.The sweet cigarettes on the other hand were like eating chalk! Lets hope this ailment is quickly tackled. You are amazing.
TC, I do hope you can feel the strength we are all sending you to tackle the ugly frog.xxx

Ironed for some of the time watching dramas, also cleared dining room table this morning and some filing so I could do some frogs and these are left out to work on tomorrow.
Some underwear out as wouldn't want to be found in them if something happened to me and some textile recyling. Have had few things on stairs awaiting final home but now in a box.to be sorted later.
12small craft items out ( counting as 12) and beyond redemption food.
Inspired by @QueenJess trying to use things up but as just me takes time..bought more dental tape and lipbalm before seeing dd2s stash
One hand-wash used up -weird colour but worked.9 -

Saturday continued: 17:30 the sun made an appearance for a couple of hours. DH thinks the dental surgeon was excellent because apart from a slight ache he hadn’t experienced any pain by the time he went to bed 😮💨 I made spaghetti bolognaise for dinner & DH was able to have a bowlful although there was no chewing involved 😉 Wudupa

Brie, I was so taken aback by the size of the spider that I forgot to take a photo 😅
Muddy_Walker, sorry to hear that Rogan is missing Pepper 😔 This “Today I pootled round town hoping to buy something to wear for a party and some new sandals but I’m the wrong shape and height so saved some £££ there….” has reminded me that I need to look for an outfit & shoes for a wedding in a few weeks & will probably have issues finding something ☹️ I remember sweet tobacco? Nominom! - delicious 😋 Fingers crossed that your SIBO can be treated quickly & effectively 🤞Excellent decluttering 👏
vulpix, This “I am still amazed at how much I find to release after all these years of decluttering. It must work out to be at least one thing a day over and above recycling. You would expect that I would be short of clothes by now. Errr nope.” made me smile 😊 Good luck with the packing now that you have a few more banana boxes 🍀 Fingers crossed that the solicitor’s letter is giving you dates for both exchange of contracts & moving🤞
TC77, great work with the ironing & clearing the table 👏 The clear table will be a real help in sorting out paperwork for the large frog 😊 Good work decluttering underwear & craft items 👏
All caught up again. Sleep tight 😴 & I will see you tomorrow 👋

Mrs SD and @vulpix thank you for the good luck and sending strength vibes. Think working as feel more positive and can only do what I can but focusing any decluttering on that which helps with frogs (clear space for papers etc).
Like the phrase ugly frogs!
Hope Mr SD doesn't have any pain, a good dental surgeon worth their weight in gold. (makes more wonder how much this could be).
@vulpix I think your house must be a tardis given you're still finding things to release!

Hi all, not posted for about 10 days, sorry I need to catch up with everybody. I have had a serious energy dip, that b12 thing again and have had whole days of inertia 😂. I have had my jab and am now beginning to get back some energy. I have had some nice things happen, a few meals out and catch ups with friends. Met my friend E with her daughter and 3 week old baby 😁 and we are now in the middle of OH's birthday celebrations so are heading out for lunch with a friend today. In between times I have done a few bits of tidying and putting things where they live etc and I have a list of stuff to do to try to make the house at least look better as my dniece is coming for a visit on 6th August. Luckily she is not staying in the house but there is a lot to be done and I have had some serious moments of overwhelm but it just has to be done 😁. I have fitted in 2 tip runs but will have to do more and various admin things like the car insurance have been sorted as well as another trip to the dentist booked as I have had a crown fall out 🙄 so all in all the thing that has been decluttered the most is money 😂.
I have calculated my numbers are now at 1024/2025 from my list of things done and am so far behind target I will have to do some serious work to catch up but it is what it is 😁. I haven't got the energy to worry about it 😂.
Right time to get weaving, I have washing to sort before we head out, the weather doesn't know what it's doing so it's going out on the line and I will just hope it dries 😂.
Hugs to everyone who would like one and I will catch up with you all after the washing has been sorted 😁
Take care everyone
