Working at home so managed 2 loads of washing, neither my plastic nor wooden pegs seem to last , so broken and dodgy pegs out, sorted some papers and 2 notebooks pulled apart and mostly recycled, moved frog along with a phone call and also send email I've put off as dreading response
More filing and 🐸 eating for the weekend.
Hope everyone can find some down time to relax. Just had a picnic with friends in Greenwich Park which was lovely..

Babyface refuses to eat off or drink out of anything, unless it's the family best china, Not that she's spoilt in the least!”Frankie doesn’t mind the single plastic bowls, he just doesn’t like the connected ones. He has big heavy stoneware ones for his water as he likes to paddle, little weirdo. Our little furry girl cat would only drink water out of my glass on the bedside cabinet and I didn’t mind one bit. I used a plastic bottle. If my “kids” are happy, then so am I
Decluttered 2 cardboard boxes of their contents. Intents disposed of. One box in recycling other will be used to send some bits to mum. Now have clear access to the big plastic boxes with lids. Am on track for having bedroom done by 31st.Hope everyone is doing okay xx

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Friday: no rain today & the temperature has crept up - high 26°C, low 16°C humidity 52%. DH is thoroughly enjoying his new office chair 😊 very comfortable with a high back & arms that can be raised to be level with the desk top. Apart from dealing with my mail, I did nothing all day but watch films. Dinner was chicken & chips for DSis whilst DH & I had breaded fish, chips & peas. Wudupa.

Nice to see you CRANKY40 👋 Excellent decluttering especially in DS’s room 👏 Looking forward to hearing about how your kitten gets on with with ndn’s cat ☺️
vulpix, I agree with you that a kitten picture would be lovely ☺️
Loving the ‘cat drinking’ stories from daisy_1571, Brie, QueenJess & suzeesu2000 🥹
YBR, This “For work to have dropped the ball, they'd have have to picked it up in the first place. The invisible powers think you can buy extra competent engineers when you need them, but at the other end we think differently.” sounds terribly familiar 😉 Sorry to hear that you didn’t sleep well 😞 fingers crossed you managed a nap & that you also have a better night’s sleep Friday night 🤞
Great decluttering QueenJess 👏
Brilliant photos Dizzycap 🤩I especially love the pamper session 😊
daisy_1571, I agree with Dizzycap 🤣😂😅😂🤣😂😅
Excellent decluttering, tidying & dealing with frogs TC77 👏 What a lovely way to spend time with friends - a picnic in the park 🥹
Sleep tight 😴

Brie said:Our first cat Wimsey used to like curling up in the bathroom sink and have the tap turned on so he could lick the water off his fur. He was always a bit of a weirdo.Weirdo cats are the best sort, they have character, like their owners staff in our case (I can't speak for others
)
@TC77 This: "neither my plastic nor wooden pegs seem to last " Do you leave them on the line? Our wooden pegs last much better now they live in a peg bag and are brought in when not in use. Given up on plastic ones though - mainly wooden clippy pegs, with a couple of dolly pegs have crept in.@Mrs SD Not much of a nap, but I crashed hard and early last night, and stayed asleep until a more decent hour. I feel better for it.DH managed to clear out a huge carload of wood to the dump kept because "it might be useful" which it sometimes is, so I'm really pleased with that. Didn't think he would be so brutal.I sorted through some mains electrical stuff and decided that half a dozen spare kettle leads is plenty, and that we don't need many replacement mains plugs these days [1], So there's a bag of electrical waste for the next tip trip. Also discovered more bottles of camping stove meths than I thought - removals people won't take this so have put aside.[1] It must be a sign of my age that I remember a time before everything had a moulded plug on the end and so everyone was taught how to re-wire a plug in childhood. I occasionally still do but very, very rarely, the classic one being to pass a lead through a small hole in a worktop (usually kitchen) to reach a socket. I digress ...Decluttering awards 2025: 🏅🏅🏅⭐️ ⭐️, DH: 🏅⭐️ and one for Mum: 🏅16 -
@YBR impressed with all the sorting and packing. Disappointing that work places are too often like that.
Young person at work couldn't believe there were days when you had to put your own plug on items, nor could they imagine there were times before duvets! Small team at work and most are half my age!
Yes pegs are brought in, I have a little plastic basket they live in..dd2 used to leave them out on the rare occasion of doing washing. It's a chore I like lovely clean clothes for v little effort. Did hand wash a dress and may iron this evening as cooler and wash a programme..
