I think £4 is good value. I wouldn't be complaining about that at all.
Hope.Mr F is feeling better again tomorrow.
Nothing much from me today. Just the usual using up Fridge and freezer items.
Hoping to get into it again after Easter.September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x17 -
Hello everyone, still reading along and enjoying all your news and activities. Thank you for my medal @Mrs_Salad_Dodger
I’m still on the declutterring train but think I’m taking the extra long route 🤣 Had a couple of tricky family issues to tackle and boy, even although I knew what the reaction would be it’s knocked me for six a bit.
Anyway, cleaned the bathrooms and removed empty shampoo and conditioner bottles (no idea why they were still there to be honest), and sorted the medicine cabinets combining all the remaining items into one large basket. I’ve also went through all my ‘good’ shoes and any with heels have gone in the charity bag. It’s boots and trainers all the way now 😁16 -
Blue_Doggy - I have to climb on the draining board or reach over and hurt my back to clean the kitchen windows.
Spoken to Mr F again - Doctor asked him what he wanted from rehab? Mr F said that he wants the catheter removed - has asked lots of times about it. I told Mr F that he should have also said - more mobile and able to safely negotiate stairs.
Mr F had some physio today - walking and trying a small set of stairs.
Mr F says that he can take himself to the toilet - get on and off the toilet - it is a raised seat which ours isn't. Mr F can attend to his personal care when he visits the toilet - which he was unable to do when he was discharged in January.
They are going to try Mr F on a bigger set of stairs tomorrow.
A chap at Church said that Mr F will want to stay at the rehab place - being spoilt! I can spoil him at home.
There were bags of donations in the SA foyer - I sorted them all before lunch.
Then a chap brought lots of bags of clothes left over at a Church sale. I stayed to sort them.
Outside there were bags of donations - I cleared them before coming home.
I plan to go to singing group practice this evening.
Been sunny but a cool wind here today.

@TC77 many thanks for your kind words.
i think it all stems from not the best upbringings, becoming paralysed as a youngster and going into hospital with nightwear that wasn’t great, worn PJs with holes in them. The kindness of 2 strangers buying me two brand new pairs, they were the all the rage highly flammable Aladdin design ones at the time, but very much appreciated.
what I do is a drop in the ocean compared to some and the house is getting a few more neutral items in as there are some good MSE pyjama bargains on Asd@ at the minute, so I’m getting more for my money. These go into the Dun elm Bags of Joy where they have been either requested or are a general item, one purpose of which is to be handed out in hospitals when someone hasn’t anything on admission. I support a range of good causes, I feel lucky I can do it and it really does make the house look empty come Sept/Oct when everything goes out to it’s relevant destination!!!
General decluttering at the minute, not really done anything, no more mugs broken by the cats. I have got rid of a load of cardboard ready for recycling tomorrow.Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lots going on with everyone here. Like the idea of - 'retiring items' and see if they need to come back into active use before passing them on.
Doing abit in the morning before work seems to be a way forward with tidying although wfh today so dining table covered despite my having desks. Some papers out and small debris, frogs ordered little cat medication, email Complaint.
After work sunny so was going tohave a walk to town ( 7 minutes) which means cs (multiple) and food shops then decided I would get more value from starting to tackle my garden. An hour digging and then an hour tidying and going down the road to kind neighbour offering garden waste bin space.
My cs bag should have more in it before I drop it off.
Forgot I item sold and posted so will count packaging.
Just hanging up my cs bargains and seen a Top I bought for £6 still has its tag on saying £250! A make I've never heard of The Fold.
Can't believe anyone ever paid that much!
So together with inspiration from Happu Kitties ( thank you for sharing your story) and realising how much I've benefitted from CSs I will add more.

I decided I wanted to rearrange the lounge today which wasn't a good idea as the hip is still objecting as is the cat who hates change and doesn't know where to sit now that his seat isn't in the right place 🐱I currently don't like it, so I'll have a think overnight I'll either rejig or put it back again, it may have to stay until I can persuade someone to help move the heavy stuff, but then I would need to admit to moving heavy stuff when I shouldn't.
I did declutter a lot of dust bunnies, and a couple of things ended up in the CS pile, I have a pile of stuff in the corner to consider where to rehome 🤨 before going out tonight I had another wardrobe rummageand found another bag of clothes to go to the CS with the clothes sorted last week, it's was dropped off at a friends' house as she is going to drop some stuff off tomorrow. .Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin16 -
- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH went out for a walk - now on 23 consecutive days of at least 5,000 steps. I spent the afternoon knitting baby bottle cosies - now have 4 for CS.
Dinner was linguine in a creamy bacon & pea sauce.
612 - 613 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
614 Kitchen detritus - binned
Fell asleep on the sofa so no cheerleading 😞 Woke up with a start & decided to post & go straight to bed. Sleep tight everyone 😴

Like the idea of - 'retiring items' and see if they need to come back into active use before passing them on.I did this with my first house declutter 2 years ago, but I set a rule along with it. If the retired item isn't used once within 12 months, it's either upcycled; if possible, sold, given away, or donated to the CS.I presently have 4 tops that I love but for whatever reason I'm getting to the 12 month no use rule above
Yesterday, I sat down on and off for a couple of hours and with 'ye olde' sewing machine rustled up 4 new tops using different sections from each of the old to make 4 new tops. This morning I'm wearing this one
It's certainly not to anyones everyone's taste, but it's really me & I feel fab in it, so I don't care
I was up again at stupid o'clock this morning with the usual issues, so made use of the time as best as I could. All HH bins emptied, HH wheelie bin prepared to tomorrows decluttering collection, kitchen surfaces all wiped along with fridge doors and shelves, took out tonights dinners to defrost for an hour, and unusually waiting for babyface to get up so keeping a very close eye on her as I had to start her on another course of anti inflammatory and pain relief liquid; which shouldn't be needed, last night as she was struggling with sleeping position comfort which shouldn't be the case. Off to declutter another cup of coffee before I get the car out as I unfortunately, have a feeling I'll be needing a Minky Taz Girl vet appointment sometime this morningOn a lighter note, excuse the pun and I absolutely swear I also got charged for candle light too!Wishing everyone a lovely peaceful decluttering ThursdayHugs to all that are ill, feeling unwell, or just need one
