I called our local council up this morning to arrange a bulky waste collection. Excitingly ( I have to get my kicks where I can 😉) their collectors are in my town tomorrow!! The old and rotting garden bench, loft ladder and a bed frame are now outside the house waiting to be collected anytime from 7am on Friday!!April however had resulted in a reduction in the number of things that can be collected per collection AND an increase in cost (mutter mutter - think its part of the plans to force us to recycle more - mutter mutter……let’s not forget my 5 different receptacles from my council for recycling).I sorted out a frog this week and set up my new mortgage protection insurance policy. Now the organisation restructure wt work is sorted I can actually take out a policy again as not currently at risk of redundancy.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Mrs SD - lovely knitting.
Dizzycap - your sewing project is great.
I went to singing group last night. One of our rough sleepers walked me home and carried my bag. This chap doesn't want to be housed - he is happy in a tent all year round.
I went to unlock at SA this morning and popped to get fresh milk.
Took photos for V.
P took me to visit Mr F - little cottage hospital - lovely place. Mid afternoon - Mr F was served tea and home made cake!
I spoke to a nurse - Mr F may be home at the weekend. They have removed the catheter bag and put on a valve - Mr F really wants to be without the catheter.
P took me home a scenic route - past a nature reserve and though a posh gated private estate - I saw a Kestrel and Pheasants.
Popped to SA to print a label. Lots of bags of donations outside so I took them in - sorted & bagged.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Muddy_Walker said:In the garden today! Rogan crunching on a bone and Pepper waiting for a toy to be thrown.
Having a tea break as hubby said I look drained (think that’s guilt as I told him off earlier…)Love 'um! I had to laugh at Rogan chasing birds while Pepper was relaxing and enjoying the sunshine the other day. We've got a bully pigeon who chases other birds out of the garden when it's feeding and drinking time who babyface had her eye on for some time and eventually just lost it at his attitude and nearly had him twice. There she was pritcying around with a couple of feathers in her mouth both times thinking 'I'll have him eventually!'. The next morning he sat on the top of the back arbour and off babyface went giving him a mouthful while I was thinking 'any minute' as he eye her up......and sure enough, she had a lovely large smelly pat on her head with babyface 'screaming' her head off as if she was being murderedI had to grab her pronto; as pigeon poo is particulary poisonous to dogs and put in the shower while covering her eyes, which she thought was great fun!
Since then, babyface hasn't given him the chance to land anywhere in the garden and always speaks her mind when he tries along with me saying 'watch your language minksy girl!'
Babyface has improved again since her little morning wobble and has been doing what she is suppose to be and resting when she gets tired, rather than being a Taz Manian Tyke taking all her babies out on the lawn and throwing them around in a tag game for an hour, like she did on Wednesday! As if that wasn't bad enough, as I pottered around the garden for 10 minutes doing some light clipping she got so excited 'digging' became the activity
so I had to come back in so she'd calm down, stop and follow me back so I could check & gently clean her underneath - never a dull moment at animal farm! Today, I put her in her bright neon pink post op vest before I pottered out for 20 minutes to finish what I needed to do yesterday and she refused to go out - she absolutely hates pink and the face!
I made it up to her later by sitting on the swing seat with a mug of coffee and her laying next to me in the morning sun without the fashion issue
We've both been crashed out for most of the afternoon but we've both woken up feeling better, so we both needed the rest, even though we missed the beautiful sunshine this afternoon.
I've managed to list a few more items early this evening before getting all the bedtime HH jobs done with LuLu voicing her opinionI'm now going to make another mug of coffee and push to list some more decluttered items. 2 parcels are packed ready to declutter off to postie tomorrow morning and HH wheelie bin out ready for a decluttering collection tomorrow. Busy day tomorrow as I have 2 blood test appointments in the morning; why all the blood can't be taken in one go is well beyond me, and babyface has another check up appointment in the afternoon.
The swans are doing well and the female came off the nest briefly today so I could get a nosey. There looks as though there might be 2 King eggs and 7 standard - They're certainly got their hands full with that lotFoxes have gone quite but all the piles of food I'm leaving out is gone by early morning, so cubs should be appearing or should I say screeching about excitedly soon! I can't wait
Wishing everone a lovely peaceful night - take care all xxxx

Florenceem that's a lot better news re Mr F 🙂
Dizzycap I envy your sewing skills to be able to knock something up that quickly
i was out for lunch today so not much done, I'm still living with a change around lounge which I still don't like! The pile of stuff in the corner of my lounge has been halved today, some into the recycling and CS bag and I've made myself never go upstairs empty handed and to ensure I put each thing away in its correct place and not dumped onto the spare bed 'for later'

I spent ages making a post and playing around with all those symbols above them. This ended up in my messing things up as every time i tried to post, i kept getting an error message saying my post was 2 characters short whatever that means! Consequently, I can't go through so many pages again so a more general post today.........I'm sorry to hear that so many of you are suffering from ill health and fatigue in varying degrees as this has such a detrimental effect on people's lives. However, I also have a lot of admiration for you still doing your best. And if you can't do your best today, don't feel bad about it as that's okay too.Love to hear all your stories, look at your photo's and see what's been decluttered today so keep posting please.I had been invited to a friend's for lunch then at the last minute was cancelled as her car broke down. I was a bit disappointed but I ate some leftovers and then did a load of filing and decluttering old papers and lots of emails. More filing and decluttering planned for tomorrow to try and sort out this mess! I'll post an after once it's done.TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Random at present but not very organised.14

@ sqwiffy - the same regularly happens to me and now the post I tried to make got wiped out & I'm far too tired & drained to type up again - Welcome to the 2 characters short of a full basket of wipe outs club
Looks like you're making good organised headwind with your decluttering sqwiffy. Paperwork decluttering can be an intial nightmare, but once it's in its correct piles, the magic of decluttering happens along with time to organise & a good shredder
You don't happen to be cluttering up on decluttering those choccies by any chance do you swiffy?
I'm sure us declutteri could help you out a little on that front, if needed!

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
After DH had a hot drink, he went back into the garden & did the last of the strimming + filled the bird feeders & fed the worms. Dinner was individual shop bought pies, mash & cauliflower. Wudupa.

Lovely to see you dND 👋 Excellent garden decluttering 👋 Sounds like you had a wonderful day out with your friend on Tuesday 🥹 Sorry to hear that your chronic pain/ache is now affecting your sleep & ability to work 😔 Fingers crossed that the doctor can come up with an effective treatment 🤞Also sorry to hear about Jewel, hopefully the issue can be remedied with medication 🙏 The French banking system seems to work at a snail’s pace unless you go overdrawn when action is very swift 😉 I must admit to feeling rather sad when I read This “My 'problems' are so minor compared to so many others on here….” 😢 but not quite sure how to explain it. Although This “……..so often we actually forget about all the day-to-day things we do. Having been through a period of depression in my life I experienced what happens when in reality you do nothing. 😱 But somehow we manage to discount so much of our everyday endeavours when we should be celebrating them as wins. Well that's my mantra now. Doesn't always work but I try to remember it. 😁 Dx, especially the part I underlined goes some way. Lot of gentle cwtches coming your way 🤗
Beautiful post Dizzycap 🥹
Muddy_Walker, This “Mindfulness last night which seems to be getting even more woowoo 😳 but I am taking the useful bits” did make me smile 😃
_Dolly_Rocker_, pleased to hear that you were feeling slightly better on Wednesday ☺️ I hope you didn’t overdo it & set your recovery back 🙏
Excellent decluttering of paperwork Brie 👏 Fingers crossed you have found your marriage certificate 🤞 Perhaps it is in the same place as your passport 🤔
Excellent decluttering Pennypincin 👏
Need to try harder to catch up with cheerleading - hopefully my mojo will return from Barbuda soon 😉 Sleep tight 😴

Morning all
A lovely bright but chilly morning with the washing lines full of washing blowing in the cool breeze. I decided to get my Winder jumpers washed and aired ready for the next
Up at stupid o'clock this morning after a painful 2 hours semi-sleep. Gave up in the end and decided to get the usual HH bin & Kitchen cleaning and decluttering done before sitting down on and off and listing another 10 decluttered items. I hope to do more listing as the day goes on but with appointments, it might be a bit of a stretch. Decluttered parcels decluttered off to the postie this morning and I finally answered the door with babyface in tow, much to his surpriseBabyface is absolutely full of it this morning with that naughty twinkle in her eye, so spent an hour playing sniffing hunting breakfast games before I settled her down to rest for a while, not that she's sleeping. She's keeping guard over the garden and watching the workmen in the park changing over the light bulbs in the lamps
No doubt at some point, she'll voice her opinion on the matter
Decluttering a mug of coffee before I need to organise the car & have a shower while I have the energy and some movement, so buzzing off for now. I hope that everyone has a lovely positive & peaceful day xxxxx~ NSD 2025 - NSD July 0/20 (6 x💯)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - Ongoing~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £1165 / £2025 (58%) (3) 💯💯+# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1378 / £1378 💯# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £12,114.14 / £12,000 💯 - Continuing12 -
Hi all, thought I'd better pop in and update before I forget everything 😂. Wednesday was cake decorating, I will post a photo in a bit from my phone. We now have 2 weeks off for Easter and I am not sure if it will start again as apparently it needs 5 people on the course to run so they are going to advertise. I managed to accidentally declutter a tea towel when I got home by setting it on fire when I used it to remove my lunch from under the grill 😂. I was so hungry I wasn't concentrating 😂 I threw it in the sink and got the tap on it before anything else happened but it had to be binned. In the afternoon I sorted out the new digi box that has been sitting waiting to be sorted for a couple of weeks and after tea I went to the footy 😁. Yesterday I got 2 LDFPA, parcelled up the old digi box, plug and remote and got them posted off remembering to photograph it all as I have had problems previously. The cardboard boxes from the new digi boxes put in the recycling but I have a whole new unused set of connecting wires that I will have to find a home for 😑.I got 2 bags of garden chopping into the bin before decluttering the iced cake with ln and her friend with coffee over the fence 😁. After tea I uu some wrapping paper from my stash and a big padded envelope for Easter gifts for the children in Germany. They will be posted off today. I also have an appointment with the nurse later and a load of washing swishing to go on the line before I head out 😁. The lovely sunny weather is continuing here 😁. The wrist is definitely improving as I am able to do a lot more with my right hand.
@Florenceem so glad to hear Mr F is on the mend and will possibly be at home with you at the weekend, big hugs
I have read all the posts but my brain isn't working 😂 but glad to see so many winning the battle with clutter. It might be taking longer than we would like but we will get there in the end. Hugs to everyone who would like one
