Mr F was moved last night at 11.30 pm to a ward on the other side of the hospital.
They gave him 6 hours to see if he could pass urine after removing the catheter yesterday - did a bladder scan - full so were worried about back up to kidneys - result - back on catheter.
OT tried to phone me today - my phone was turned off - I was at the funeral.
OTs got Mr F out of bed this morning and held on to him while he tried to march on the spot. This is only the second time that he has been out of bed - both times - 2 people were needed.
While I was visiting this afternoon - a nurse wrote on Mr F's white board above his bed - didn't speak to us. So I called out to him across the ward - what have you written - suspected Diabetes!
Mr F was seen by 2 Doctors today - he has fluid on the right side of his chest and will get an appointment at the respiratory clinic.
A Church friend saw my next door neighbour in town today - she said that I look tired - yes I am.
OT are going to phone me tomorrow to ask if I will accept Mr F home.
Mr F has to be able to get himself out of bed and to the bathroom. I know that they will say - he can use a bottle at night - what if it isn't urine that he wants to pass!
Mr F also has to be able to manage stairs.
Mr F will be back in hospital with a fall if it is not safe at home.
They have done no physio with Mr F- he has been in hospital 9 days.
Mr F was in bed today - he hasn't even been out of bed to sit in a chair.
I am going to be so ready for OT when they phone tomorrow.

Dizzycap said:.No, you don't! It's absolutely disgusting
You can't get an on day appointment for love nor money. The in-house receptionist(s) don't allow on day appointments for conditions that they deem, in their very limited qualified medical capacity, to be non-urgent? You can't get a general Dr.s appointment for at least 6 weeks and yet, 98% of the time that I've walked into the surgery for appointments at varying times of the day which my Dr. has requested or made directly in surgery or in hospital specialist clinic areas, there's no patients waiting to be seen, just the phone constantly ringing and room doors open with everyone glued to and tapping away on a computer or chatting! Enough said
These used to be brimming with patient activity but unfortunately, this seems to be the norm at most surgeries & most hospital out patient clinics that I know of over the past 18 months.
I managed to find a suitable cupboard for my small spare bedroom and it was 20% off so MSE 🙂 as it's being delivered Thursday I spent the afternoon in there as it has become a room of doom 🫣 I didn't want to move stuff to the other spare room which is tidied. I can now see a lot more carpet and could leave the door open without being embarrassed if visitors saw in. The Christmas decs and tree are still in there I have been made to promise my nephew not to try and put it in the loft myself, the loft ladder and I aren't friends at least the last incident didn't involve blood!
I need to sort my towels I seem to have a lot for just one person so the worst may be offered on free cycle for dog towels and some to a charity which helps people setting up home who need the basics

Good evening all
I hope all your decluttering efforts are going well xxx
@ Liverpool_Anne - Thinking of you as I have been in the 'falling asleep mode' often in the past and know that it's terrible when you just can't keep your eyes open, especially with fatigue. One of the funniest incidents I had was when I tried to reply to a text with a simple, "Yes, that's absolutely fine. I'll see you on xxx" and I fell asleep 3 times with phone in hand then waking up with my finger hovering over the keyboard ready to continueI remember laughing & thinking 'well, it's obvious this person bores me to the point of unexpectedly falling sleep on several occassions', which was as far from the truth as it could be - If you don't laugh, you'll cry laughing
Another eventful decluttering day today with new standard wardrobe now in situ in DDs bedroom and everything put in it. Unfortunately, there's several large boxes by the side of it with remaining items to be declutter sold when and if I have the energy, let alone time, to list any more. It seems to be never ending but items are being crossed through as they leave the house along with Mr. Sains packagingI did do a free Mr. Sains recyling box collection today, so have more packaging in the hope that that it will all be going out soon! I've had a decluttering sale tonight so packaged up and my mother will hand the parcel to postie tomorrow morning as babyface & I I won't be around when he knocks. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when she answers the door tomorrow morning as I know he'll think I've moved out on a night flip - poor chap!
Babyface is doing ok, but a little off base today, so we've been snuggle cuddling all afternoon and this evening she had a little potter walk along the hedge at around 7pm which she enjoyed and seemed to pick up a little before anti's and being tucked up in bedI'm decluttering a nice mug of coffee now and will be pottering off to join babyface soon in the hope that I will be able to get some sleep tonight xxx
Ending on a lighter note with dearest gorgeous Gorda, which is Spanish for 'Chubby'Gorda's new mummy was jokingly saying to me on Monday morning that if Gorda keeps expanding her vocal singing range, someone will end up reporting her as it sounds as though Gorda is in agony or being mistreated from outside the house
Well, that same day, at 1pm, along come 2 fully clothed policemen who knocked on her front door and when Gorda's owner answered she was met with "Good afternoon XXX. We've heard you've got a new rescue dog and we've come to have a look" She initially froze before saying, "Oh, do come along in and meet Gorda", which they did. One of the policemen took off his new hat and Gorda's owner recognised him as a local officer who had helped with an incident a number of months ago, so boy was she relieved
Gorda then proceeded to plonk herself on the policemans lap and once he began tickling her tummy then started, 'Gorda's Opera Volume 2', much to the amusement and relief for all!
- Gorda's mummy phoned me that night to tell me what had happened. Honestly, the suspence & build up from the potential seriousness of the situation and the outcome as she was telling me, was like flipping from a Alfred Hitchcock thriller to a scene from Only Fools & Horses. Needless to say, I have never in my lifetime laughed so much to the point of yes, wetting myself and it was made worse by Gorda suddenly starting to sing along to the TV in the background - She does love her music!
I wonder what Gorda will do when my neighbour puts Classic FM on and there's an opera singer or choir on?

Not posted for a few weeks due to juggling routine hospital appointments and horrible rellie going through one of their phases of needing to have everyone running around for them. Will catch up reading all your posts when I can.
Have continued decluttering - bookcase and chairs from storage unit gone to dsis and table will go as soon as we get around to asking neighbour for help to move it. A few bits gone to CS and OH took a load to the tip a couple of weeks ago. Freezer continues to be full of home cooked soups and meals and most food stocks are now well in date - just a few ood and short dates to go now. It does feel so much better.
Unfortunately the reading pile and unread emails have built back up again whilst been busy with other things. Hopefully it won’t take too long to get back on track but it I’ll be a few days before I can get started on them.

Good morning all decutteriI'm up earlier than expected with birds singing away which is lovely to hear
I'm definately in need of at least 2 mugs of coffee before I can say I'm at the beginning to wake up stage this morning
Florenceem - WOW! I can't believe what I've been reading with regards to Mr.F and not being out of bed for days and needing physical support to march on the spot. Stand your ground with OT. The word NO often offends but say it a few times and you begin to truely see what is best for others and yourself. It';s no good Mr.F coming home when he can't pass water, let alone anything else and as a carer, there is only so much you can do before becoming overwhelmed and totally exhausted with coping and living with the situation. Sending you prayers and hugs at this difficult timeoceanspirit - Nice to see you againLife can be so very hectic even more so this year for some strange reason. I've got to the point where I dare not even look ahead in my weekly diary
and this month has just flown past. Great to hear that you're still decluttering HH items and keeping the freezer filled with homemade goodies
Decluttering Update:I won't be doing a lot, if any, decluttering today or for the rest of the week as I will be with babyface all day today and shall be so very relieved once we return homewith the rest of the week trying to keep babyface rested as much as possible taking into account Daxie energy and stubbornness
There's 1 parcel to be decluttered off to postie this morning
& all HH basic chores I know will be diligently attended to by my blessing of a mother while we're away mainly babyfaces fleeces and bedding all needs washing and hanging out on the line with all the fresh put out along with all her homemade treats which I know babyface will love
I've never known a dog who is so fastidious with cleanliness
Time to rock and roll with boiling the kettle for another mug of coffee while I get all the HH bins emptied and kitchen surfaces sprayed etc.
Wishing everyone a blessed decluttering dayand I hope to catch up with posts at some point. Take care all xxx

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Tuesday cont’d: I have vacuumed the whole of downstairs & had to empty the hoover twice. I remembered to remove the hair from the rollers which took almost as long as the vacuuming 😉 Settled down to sort out some paperwork - as I have let it pile up ☹️ DH got back from his walk. He brought me back a freebie newspaper so I have let myself get distracted doing the puzzles. Didn’t cook either - DH ordered in pizza for us & chicken burger for DSis. Wudupa.

London_1, what a lovely few days you had back in your old stomping grounds ☺️ You were so busy that I am surprised you had time to sleep 😉 I am very impressed that you managed some decluttering even though you were on holiday 👏 Hope you had something delicious for dinner Monday night 😉
Lovely post Duchess2 😊
Nice to see you back safe & sound TC77 👋 It sounds like you had a great time & have hopefully come back fully recharged & raring to go 😊 Good luck dealing with the urgent frogs 🍀 Hopefully you will tell us a little bit about what you did whilst you were away 🤞
Florenceem, a busy Monday 👏 Fingers crossed that removing the catheter is NOT a prelude to trying to discharge MrF but just a way to make him feel more comfortable 🤞 Is it possible to tell your DGS that as it was his 21st birthday, celebrations last for a week 🤔
Lovely posts retiredinfrance & Duchess2 🥹
Florenceem, I am sure he will forgive you 🥹
I must try harder to catch up with the cheerleading but it will have to wait until later today 😉 Sleep tight 😴

Good morning.
MrsSD, the heated teddy was a big fluffy unicorn with a whet bag in its tummy. Spoke to DD1 last night and she said its coming back as DGD wants it in the 'microcave' every 10 minutes.
Florenceem, i hope they get MrF better on his feet before they discharge him.
Monday I had DD3 home still and spent ages trying to ring the doctors but by the time I got through at almost 11 all appointments had already gone. She was a lot better yesterday anyway and went to school. Monday afternoon i managed to knock a glass out of the cupboard and it smashed all over the worktop. Went in later for another and the one I picked up was cracked. Not sure if id managed to hit it with the earlier one.
I did sort through all the stuff to go back under the sink and have a lot of part empty bottles need using up.
Yesterday I sorted through a box of game pieces and have a pile for the bin but as they've not left yet I've not added them. Well I better go get DS2 up for college. Have a good day.
