Mrs SD, I went to Vietnam for a month, with a friend but had quite a few days on my own, just deciding each day what I'd do and where I'd go with my backpack! Very liberating and wonderful country although glad to be able to walk on the pavement and avoid the scooters which everyone has.
Avoided any cooking chores or frogs for a month and realise that I hadn't left the house and matters as organised as I remember.
A few years ago I told my kids when they leave home I'd have my 'gap year' - managed a month but focusing my mind on how I decide when to retire - 62 while I was away. Plan for April was to have estate agent round and get more serious about looking to move (although little on the market - too large or too small). Some frogs have grown and trying not to procrastinate. Waking up early so some tidying before my working day. Washing on as the sun is forecast to be out.
Gradually catching up on what is happening on this speeding train.18 -
Morning All, quick check-in before school run.and office run. Lost my mojo, been feeling bleugh and unmotivated so buying clothes to make me feel better. Guess what they don't and I just take them back.
MrsSD please could you PM where I am with my totals and will carry on from now with a determined effort.

charlies_tribe - It is a safe guarding issue. Mr F can't be sent home while it is unsafe to do so.
Dizzycap - Mr F needs physio in hospital or going to a rehab unit. The word no will be in evidence in a conversation with OT.
I had a nightmare but slept okay. However I don't feel refreshed - just physically and emotionally exhausted.
No reply from my son.
My daughter said about me having a day off from visiting Mr F but I am his only visitor. I want to see him and find out how he is doing while I am there.
It is friendship & lunch club today at SA so no cooking for me and it is my favourite - roast pork dinner.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Hi, quick post as I am on my phone. Cake decorating yesterday, made the buttercream before I went but cheated and called in the sm for some muffins. I struggled a bit with the wrist so had to use my left hand 🤪.
Nothing else really done yesterday apart from some maths homework for the cake decorating course, don't ask 😁. Got a list of things to do today so better get weaving 😁
Hugs to anybody who wants one

@Florenceem I’ve become good friends with a medic friend who works at the local hospital which is one scary hospital. Friend was saying that most readmissions they have to deal with have come about from bad discharges where getting the bed back is more important than the patient and from what you have said, you are becoming trapped in the same cycle where both yourself and Mr F are suffering badly so I think it is right what you are doing. You will hear from your son I’m sure, perhaps he doesn’t want to burden you with everything you have going on but you are not a bad nan at all.Besides the neutral items taking over the house (must rearrange to drop off items and ship out more items) generally
125)-127) cat toys x 3 disposed of.
128) another item in DDads stuff (no idea why he kept) ready to send to another relative for them to keep or destroy.129) paperwork destroyed and out including a gift bag trashed by the cats, that is going into the recycling. Don’t think there is much more they can do to the gift bag, it’s completely destroyed.
130) the remnants of a t-shirt binned, more holes than t-shirt
Haven’t been able to do much as I’ve been working, worked away at the weekend and came back with a cold which I def need to declutter and deal with a few frogs todayDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Morning everyone,
Ive been reading along in bed but then I fall asleep and forget to post 🤣
I filled the charity bag and another four bin bags last week and the day after they were collected I got another bag through the letterbox! I’ve now filled six more bags and my son’s going to drop them off at our local hospice shop.I forgot about the shoe boxes under my bed 🙈 so that’s next along with the cupboard of doom under the stairs.14 -
Hi, just frogs eaten for me.
I sewed the too revealing new top that my friend unpicked for me, I sewed 3 buttons on DS's smart overcoat. ( I have had this hung up, waiting for weeks!) Well 4 buttons actually as I didn't like the placement of one so I did it again. Finished the pig Izzy doll, sewed up the other 3 and stuffed them. They need ears, faces etc yet. Paddington also needs a hood for his duffel coat. Not happy with the pig doll but I have spent more than enough time on it already. I was so fed up of it I started knitting a new jumper for DS. It's his Birthday 23rd April so hopefully I can have it done by then. I like the knitting but hate the sewing up of things. I will take my knitting and some crochet on holiday, we have a few sea days and I can't just sit about and do nothing. I find reading tiring these days sadly.
Nice to see you back TC.
I am sorry to hear of peoples troubles. Sending best wishes to everyone, including dogs! Vx:19 -
Thankyou for all your kind comments after my post the other day. My back is thankfully no worse but husband still not well and my youngest has been off school ill too so I'm stressed and exhausted.
In good news our old house sale completes on Friday 🎉 so now I'm researching premium bonds and savings accounts and selecting a new mattress I hope but it's all so overwhelming to choose these things
I will of course be making use of the last bin collection on Friday 🤣 and am making a list of who I need to contact and will need to close our universal credit claim too
Have enjoyed reading about baby face and hope she back to full health asap
In regards to how Mr and Mrs F are being treated I'm disgusted tbh and I really hope the hospital gets there act together and get him much better before trying to send him home15 -
Hi all, lots of struggles on the thread and I hope life is gentler to all those coping with things today x
I’ve not done a lot, I’m having a bit of a CFS crash, did manage to line a trough in the garden and break a cardboard box up into it ready for planting.Apart from that a big of gentle sewing and some reading. Learning to lean into the tiredness and let it pass xDecluttering Challenge 2025/1483
