Hello 👋
Had such a lovely nap today, had a prepacked sandwich, it made me feel really off so went for a nap at 12:30 woke at 6:30!!!Managed to remove the last 8 stubborn staples out of the stairs so I can prep them for a runner.Collected Olio and dropped some of with some young families that can’t get out after bedtime. Will declutter the slightly slimy mixed root veg into my compost bins tomorrow.
Now wondering if I’ll sleep, strange dreams about making a 3D book of the high seas! Haha! Maybe subliminally needed a tinkle 🤗🤣Decluttering Challenge 2025/1483

Duchess2 said:@Dizzycap I’m sorry if my comments touched a nerve. I certainly didn’t mean it as a criticism. You obviously love and care so much for Babyface. I was unaware of her poor start in life. Thank goodness she found you. I truly didn’t mean to “upset the apple cart” as per Squiffy. I’m so sorry if I have caused offence. It was certainly not my intention. I’ve not long started posting on here, having been a reader for a while. Rest assured I will choose my words with more care in future. Sorry again xxHi Dutchess2
You didn't touch a nerve, maybe I didn't type up tactfully
That's the beauty of growing old gracefully and not being a princess
Please don't worry about it, what ever it was xxxx
It's hectic here at the moment- DD has gone away for a nice break for 10 days. I removed what was left in the Mega Wardrobe of Doom, which still seems to be tons
but all items were on the list I have written up and now in large piles all over DDs bedroom
before it was dismantled by my lovely neighbour at 9am this morning and taken away - HOOOOOOOORAY! New wardrobe arriving tomorrow morning and will be put in place by delivery men xx, then I will put DD's clothes and shoes etc in and job done, execpt for all the stuff in piles whiich I'll put in marked boxes and pile up against the new wardrobe for now, but it's all going one way or another!
I decluttered 8 parcels off to posties this morning and then spent the morning washing everything I could get my hands on; hanging outside on the washing lines in the lovely hot sun, slow cooking lamb and beef joints while cleaning DD's bedroom, and singing away to babyface after I'd wrapped her up in thick fleeces and put her on the bed - Not that she's spoilt! She's very much her old self today, although the anti's knock her out for a couple of hours, she's asking to go out to the loo, asking to go out for a walk even if it's very short, playing baby and silly girl games, and boy did she come thundering down the hallway when I got the lamb out of the cooker and put it on a large plate to settle
She hears and knows every single sound
- Tyke
Needless to say, someone had a fresh cooked lamb dinner for lunch and their evening meal and is play killing her beloved stuffed swan at the moment after a nice relaxing evening walk. Babyface has finally accepted that she needs to take all of the anti's and now sits and waits for me to get them all out ready for her to take with absolutely no fuss or bother
It's lovely to see her improving but tbh, I shall be so relieved once her op is over and she begins to come round from the anaesthetic
At least I'll be there with her, so I know that will help us both
No decluttering sales so far today, thank goodnessHad enough to cope with and thankfully my beloved mother
has arrived and will be able to keep the HH basics ticking over for the rest of the week xxxx However, she was greeted with piles of clean washing on the sofa
What a time we all seem to be having one way or another and as already said, there's always something to upset the apple cart and when least expectedThank God we don't know when & what things are going to happen because I know that I for one, even when taking each day at a time and taking things in my stride most of the time, would probably go right off my rocker!

@London1 - sorry you've been ill and also lost your friend. But how wonderful to have all those years of friendship.@Florenceem - well done for being strong. I hope things move in the right direction now or else you may need help to complain. Do they have PALS in that one? If not, the hospital must have a complaints policy and support to deal with it if needed. And do get some rest both physically and emotionally to recharge yor batteries.@cranky40 - I think if you have pain generally but you get a new pain, the most predominant one seems to get your brain to ignore the other one, like you say until it gets better then the other pain is noticed again!Only 10 pages behind now!TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Random at present but not very organised.14

Sqwiffy- thank you! I suppose if people saw my dogs in action they would think they are hyper or manic - they certainly aren’t laid back at all! And yes they can require a LOT of exercise but as I’m ill, they get a lot of brain training. Which actually wears them out more. Pepper has walked most of the Welsh mountains with me but is equally as happy curled up sleeping on my lap and Rogan is just……a chopsy nosey b!gger who has to comment on everything and everyone….he actually deals better with short walks more often as he gets incredibly wound up when out - think over excited and very tired toddler. And I wouldn’t change them for the world. ❤️
JackieO lovely to see you back after a wonderful trip xx
MrsF - I would actually ask the hospital staff how they expect you to do what takes several of their staff with MrF and - this is the important bit-how to do it safely???? For both of you? They just might start getting the message then….if you continuously ask them to demonstrate.
Decluttering today - rubbish/cleaned out Hoover including all the tubes so it picks up stuff better/cheese. I really fancied some!⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

- That's really tickled me! I do love a dog who speaks their mind
Nothing like a chalk & cheese combination
I've always found it interesting that you either get a walker dog or a sniffer dog. I've had 5 dogs and they've all been sniffers, so walking distances were/are limited but they all loved/love to crazy run in an open field!
Basset Hounds are another of my hearts desiresWe saw the most beautiful black and tan Daxie pup on our walk today. She was edible, well they all are for me, but she had the most amazing unusal blue eyes and what a sazzy bum strut she had as she bobbed along - you go girl!

Hi all, quick post as I am falling asleep 😂. Lovely meal yesterday but I was very tired when I got home what with the driving after not a lot of sleep but the travel cot and the duck were handed over. We did bring back the stair gate though which is languishing in the hall. I went for a lie down when I got home and got up for a cuppa to discover we only had a dreg of milk so had to get dressed and pop to the Tesco metro nearby which luckily is open until 10pm on Sunday. The lr bin was emptied.
Today as the sun was shining I got cracking with the washing and got 3 LDFPA on the line. Between loads I went to the sm for a biggish shop using my list and when I had put it all away I took the cs bags. My favourite cs was closed again so I hunted down another one where I was lucky enough to find parking right outside so 16 items to the cs. When I got home I discovered OH had done a bit more sorting and another big bag of things was lurking at the top of the stairs 😁. I had a quick look through and confess to removing a book I haven't read but it is only a temporary removal 😂. The kitchen bin was emptied. OH has had 2 parcels arrive today 😐. I won't be able to get to the cs until Wednesday at the earliest as I have cake decorating tomorrow afternoon and have to have a dozen cup cakes and the buttercream to take with me so that's a job for the morning 😁.
We had coffee over the fence with ln and I put her 1937 sewing machine in the car boot ready to give to friend E tomorrow, can't count that though as it never came in the house 😂.
I was going to do another bag of garden chopping but I am struggling a bit as I seem to have done something to my right wrist. Luckily even though I am very right handed I learned a few years ago when I had tennis elbow I can do most things with my left hand if I actually think about it 😂 but the secateurs took too much brain power by then 😂.
Right I am off to bed now, I have read all the posts but my brain is on strike 😂, so hugs to anybody who would like one.
367 lr bin
368 travel cot and chick 😁.
369 - 371 LDFPA
372 - 387 items to cs
388 kitchen bin
Take care everyone
