Afternoon all@ Duchess2 - Unfortunately, babyface was a very weak and ill runt was far too small to be spayed. She only came into full adulthood at the end of last year at the age of 4.5 years with 2 seasons rather than the one, and she's only just finished growing and is finally large enough to have the proceedure done without additional complications such as excessive pain for a number of months, as can be experienced by exceedingly small dogs. I'm comforted by the knowledge that babyface has a fantastic surgeon who can enter and complete the op with the smallest of incisions.TBH, I'm far more anxious about her coming out of the anesthetic because this is the first and hopefully the last time she'll be going under, although I'm assured that she's excessively healthy and because it's been caught at the very early stage, she has a very high chance of coming round with no problems. However, I will be there all day and I won't be leaving her side because I know that when she does come round, she'll panic at being in an unfamiliar VET hospital wing and me not being there.Decluttering Update:We're having a chill out day today with all the HH basics done, a few new listings completed, 2 parcels packaged & in the hallway ready to be decluttered off the postie in the morning. I've taken babyface for a nice slow walk which she enjoyed and we got back just before it rained, so she's had her anti's and is now snoring away and making piggy grunting noises which means she's happy & content* I forgot to hit the post comment button until now!
I'm decluttering a welcomed mug of Starbucks caramel coffee with added fesh coffee - If you're going to get pumped on coffee, do it right!
before I put my PJ's on and potter off to bed. No doubt babyface will join me at some point

Soontobeoap - I warm a portion of fish & chips on a baking tray in the oven for about 10 mins. Yes you can freeze/thaw and warm.
Crazycatlady2 - hope your issues resolve soon.
Yesterday morning I went into town and got myself fish & chips.
Went to visit Mr F and he was awake but still confused. He was arguing with 2 nurses and me that he was sitting on a bed pan when he wasn't.
I had no internet on my computer so watched a DVD - The Stratton Story yesterday evening.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Dizzycap - I had a Springer Spaniel who had Pyometra.
Mrs SD - lovely knitting.
CRANKY40 _ I agree with you about @weenancyinAmerica's housemates - they need to leave.
Church this morning - My friend wasn't there so I had more work to do.
I text our computer tech chap C - I didn't want to phone him on a Saturday evening - hoped he would be able to help on Monday. He text to say - he would come round when I got back from Church. C soon fixed the problem and refused payment - gave me a hug as he left.
I spent time on the phone talking to friend's of Mr F - I have not met them. They were concerned as he hadn't got back to them.
Not much decluttering done but I did take a bag of clothes to the charity shop yesterday.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

It's nice to be pottering around MSE for a while tonight. We've just got back from our night walk and babyface is full of it, so trying to keep her happy without any crazy fruit-loop burn outs, but she does love to have a short blast run. We've had great fun at the outdoor launderette. I picked her up and pressed the info button so that she could see and hear where the voices were coming from and then I opened the dryer door and let her stick her head in and have a look - The things I do
It's been a bit of a mixed day weather wise here but as there's little left to be done in the garden at the moment I pottered around for a short while this morning enjoying all the Spring flowers, blossoming bushes, and the cherry tree which looks absolutely stunning this yearUnfortunately, there's more cold snowy weather on its way for the end of March and the wind is bitter tonight, so I might have to borrow that fig leaf to keep my nether regions warm
On the decluttering side: All the usual HH basics have been done including slingiing the hoover around. I've also photographed and listed a whole load of items, packaged up 4 parcels ready to declutter off to postie tomorrow morning, and decluttered 2 bookcase shelves of DVDs and loaded the dolly trolly ready for a trip with babyface, if she's up to it, to the CS first thing in the morning. DD is going to have a 10 day break to the Lake District with a very dear friend tomorrow which I'm thrilled about because she deserves it after such a long period of being so unwellWe'er also planning to have a break together with babyface once babyface has recovered fully and both breaks will be paid for with the decluttering money that has been saved up
My dear mother, God bless her, has offered to come and stay and keep the house running while I look after babyface, so I've taken her up on the very kind offer and she will be arriving tomorrow afternoon. Fortunately, I have a decent decluttered and clean spare bedroom with now fresh bedding on, although babyface decided to have a roll around kicking legs up silly girl 10 mintes on the clean duvet cover
Someone's feeling better
Tomorrow morning I will need to block off the back garden fully so that babyface doesn't have a chance to go crazy fruit-loops after her op. Boy is she going to be one unhappy daxie for a few days, so when she finally talks to me again, it'll be plenty of snuggle cuddles & kisses with warm fleeces, homemade treats & episodes of the GB Sewing Bee & Deal or No deal which she loves
with me in PJ's so she knows I'm not going out.. I'm now decluttering a final mug of coffee before an early night with babyface who's just had her night anti's and is waiting for me to potter off to bed. At least we all know who's running the show, as if there was ever any doubt!
Swan update: All is going well. Fox update: I think the cubs have arrived juding by the excited squealling noises in the boat yard late last night & tonight after I put out heaps of food and an old smelly slipper for them. They love something smelly to play and practice hunting withWill have to adjust one of the CCTV cameras ouside tomorrow so I can have a peak at what's going on
I feel like one of those nosey neighbours, even though I have absolutely no interest in invading privacy
Nighty, night all - Toodle-pip for now & hugs to everyone xxxx

My friend said that I should have a day off from visiting Mr F today - I usually do on a Sunday. However - I just felt that I wanted to see Mr F today. He was surprised and pleased to see me.
Mr F told me that he had a chest Xray yesterday. He also told me that he had seen a Dr today - nurse said that he hadn't.
Mr F said that he was feeling very tired so I said that is because you are unwell.
They had to wake Mr F up at 10 am - he had breakfast and went back to sleep.
He is still confused - said his bed moved over to the computers in the night.
Mr F is very British middle class stiff upper lip - I told him not to say - fine or okay - when asked how he is feeling. He needs to say that he feels ill. His leg felt warm today.
I gave out the leftover funeral sandwiches and trifles today at Church - told people to take some home with them. I also gave away 3 of the large bouquets after removing the cards and holders.
There were bags of donations by the recycling hopper when I came out of SA today. I had a quick look - quite a few items new with tags.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

No decluttering done today but I've been looking online for some storage for the dining room, I want a tall cupboard with shelves which won't look out of place in there and will fix in a specific place. I'm also looking for something smaller for my small spare room to store some crafting stuff so it's all in one place which currently it's not, both need doors to hide it all away. I'm trying to be MSE as well 😁
My sister and I went to watch a play at the local theatre'Far From The Madding Crowd' tonight and she fed me first, a very nice roast dinner.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin19 -
We were at hospital from before midday and after taking DMIL home and settling her into bed it was almost 10pm. At least we knew that she'd been thoroughly checked despite her protests. She has a cracked rib and soft tissue injuries so she's going to be pretty sore but she's been referred to the falls clinic.I've given myself a good talking to today and I'm feeling a bit better after going for a lovely walk with DH, DD1 and her dog Ronnie. Today I did some decluttering, 50% of my lipsticks and a few other things before leaving to come and help with my DM again.@ ESMf73 - India is on my bucket list. I expect it will be wonderful to go to a wedding there. You'll have to tell us all about it.@Dizzycap - I do wonder about all these jobs being automated and yet we are doing their job for them. It still costs us more, less jobs for people but the big shops make more profit and produce more plastic. I dispair for ordinary people, our kids and our plane.@Jellybaby - could you find the instruction manual online? Mind you, all that searching is getting a lot of decluttering done!Decluttered 22 lipsticks, an old tube of sun cream, two books, and unsubscribed from 15 emails and deleted 50.TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Random at present but not very organised.17
