My short trip to the P.O. took an hour & a quarter instead of 35 minutes as I ended up waiting about 40 minutes in all for buses 😡 However the lady in the P.O. loved all 4 of the baby bottle cosies & the mittens but especially the one with the embroidered name ☺️ I left her holding them to her face (I had used soft yarn) & with a huge grin on her face 😁 She did offer to pay but I just asked her to make a small donation to a charity of her choice. DH had gone for a walk & used the elliptical trainer again. I have a little wiggle room in my freezer as I heated up a lo portion of cottage pie & added some mash to a couple of portions of cottage pie mix. Wudupa.

Dizzycap, I am loving the stories of babyface & the outdoor launderette ☺️ Excellent decluttering especially the sales 👏 Hope your DD has a lovely holiday in the Lake District with her friend 😊 Fingers crossed that she has dry, warm weather 🤞What a lovely mum you have 🥹 babyface will enjoy having another person around to give her cuddles 😉 Very pleased to hear that the swans are doing well & that you now have fox cubs to liven up the nights 😊
Florenceem, very happy to hear that MrF was pleased to see you on Sunday. Fingers crossed that all the sleeping is helping his body to heal & that the antibiotics are starting to work 🤞
Dizzycap, that is absolutely hilarious 🤣
Brambling, good luck in your search for MSE storage 🍀
sqwiffy, relieved to hear that you managed to ‘persuade’ DMiL to go to the hospital to get checked out 😥 Hopefully the falls clinic will be able to discover why she is falling 🤞Excellent decluttering 👏
Now only a day behind 😉 Will post & head off to bed. Sleep tight 😴

sqwiffy said:@Dizzycap - No one at the hospital or surgery?? We all need to move there! At two hospitals and two surgeries I've been in the last week, they were rammed to the rafters with patients!! And a dachsund that killed a baby? Just goes to show, you can't be too careful with animals and babies but it sounds unbelieveable. And no noise? Or sleep deprived parents who didn't wake? Definately needs an investigation. No, you don't! It's absolutely disgusting
You can't get an on day appointment for love nor money. The in-house receptionist(s) don't allow on day appointments for conditions that they deem, in their very limited qualified medical capacity, to be non-urgent? You can't get a general Dr.s appointment for at least 6 weeks and yet, 98% of the time that I've walked into the surgery for appointments at varying times of the day which my Dr. has requested or made directly in surgery or in hospital specialist clinic areas, there's no patients waiting to be seen, just the phone constantly ringing and room doors open with everyone glued to and tapping away on a computer or chatting! Enough said
These used to be brimming with patient activity but unfortunately, this seems to be the norm at most surgeries & most hospital out patient clinics that I know of over the past 18 months.Decluttering Update:Up early with the usual HH stuff, washing on, babyface in bed but had anti's and peacefully snoring away. Not much planned decluttering wise but new DD wardrobe arriving at around 10am and then I'll clutter it up and put filled clutter boxes up beside it which have just got to go asapNo decluttering sales overnight so won't be doing any decluttering posting today and any sales today will now have to wait until tomorrow to be collected by postie, which I'll leave in the capable hands of my mother
The postie is absolutely convinced I'm moving/leaving as he saw a part dismantled mega wardrobe of total doom leaving the house yesterday morning when he came to arrange a parcel collection time. If I have any decluttering parcels to send tomorrow and mum answers the door, he'll be telling everyone I've moved - That should be fun!
No other cluttering/decluttering planned just snuggle cuddles & kisses with babyface

Another funeral at SA today - I am not going to the crematorium - they need someone to stay at the hall.
Mr F told me yesterday that when he saw a Doctor that morning - he was told he had a fall at A & E. I am not surprised - he went in to hospital because he fell off the toilet and they sat him on a chair in the waiting room all night.
My Son hasn't got back to me about the missed birthday.

@Dizzycap, I love the way you write and babyface sounds gorgeous
also, your descriptions of the local animal life and parcel distribution makes me chuckle
you must live near me in Kent as your medical experiences sounds familiar although I think it’s pretty much nationwide nowI always read along and keep on top of ‘stuff’Carolbee16 -
Morning all - waiting on another tradesperson re moving my boiler to a more sensible place. I've been to have my hair done and dropped off plastics at the co-op. I've decided to get wider curtains for the bedroom - I can use these in the smaller spare room as DGD4 who normally sleeps in there says she likes similar wall colours. Once plumber has been installed I will go get my tyres changed and buy the curtains before collecting children from school.
I've put stuff in the new wardrobes - rounding up things which were at random places round the house but need to check through them to see what is actually needed. Photos and measurements taken of dining room furniture which can be sold. I've collected up boxes to pack the stuff away until kitchen is done.
Sox remains very concerned as to where the cat in the wardrobe mirror goes but meanwhile he has inspected each shelf and drawer in detail. Last night I slept in my new room (just bedside tables to put together) and Sox slept on the bottom of the bed. I left the front door open this morning and he was just sat on the doormat looking out. Three more weeks and he can go outside.

Hello fellow declutterati, I have to confess to not reading the masses of posts yet. I have only been AWOL for a few days.
Oh it's all happening here.
DD1 has split up with her OH and the logistics of all that. She is fine, she will be fine. She is a trooper like her Mum. Nobodies fault, after 5 years it had just run it's course. I am not surprised, DD1 has been very brave to instigate this. There are no problems and her OH is more than happy to just coast along.
DIL is pregnant, hence the hospital admission when she had a severe bout of Norovirus. It is difficult to type with my fingers crossed. They have faced such pregnancy difficulties in the past. I must admit to still being in shock about this.
I spent most of yesterday travelling to and from the distant hospital to have a 24 hour ECG thing fitted. I have to post it back when it's finished later today. It may throw up some interesting results as Huge Tom cat Fomo woke me by standing on my chest and the monitor at about 8am today! It has a button you press when you have an "episode".
I spent last night trying to finish off knitting projects. 2 baby jumpers sewn up. A pig, lamb, bespoke cat and Paddington half sewn up and ears, tails knitted to be sewn on later. Today's job is to stuff them, sew in the arms and legs, faces and ears , tails etc. They are not very big but are knitted so much quicker than the making up. All my knitting is with mostly recently donated wool.
So for me today I will probably spend hours on the knitted dolls and some general tidying, laundry away etc.
Our holiday is rushing towards us. I didn't manage to loose the weight I wanted to but have managed 8 lbs which is better than nothing.
Oh, no offers from all the viewings. 3 people now say they want the house but their properties are not yet sold. So nothing doing here. There is a viewing on my Mothers house this week.
Mr V gave away a radio DJ mic to a young bloke just starting out , that's it for our recent decluttering.
In coming, a silk blouse bnwt from the chazzer which will go with a pair of cruise trousers. I have more trousers to try on which if I take them on holiday will need shortening. Normally I would have started packing by now but don't want to have half packed suitcases on the spare bed in case of viewings.
I have washed our winter puffer coats. I am expecting winter to be gone when we get back from holiday!
Better get a wriggle on, love to all Vx:18 -

Hi Chums, beautiful day here on IoW, washing done and blowing on the line in the sunshine. just about to have some lunch then off to Ryde for a little bit of shopping. only odds and ends and may pop in the library as well.
I have a couple of books to declutter at the charity shop that have been read, plus have to go into the photographers to see if he can do a bit of restoration work on an old photo or two.
hope everyone is well.
Son-in-law got the job he applied for and starts next weekso if all goes well DD will stop work for the summer and relax with me in the garden as we both like having a potter in the garden.
Onwards and upwards I may even have a short stroll on the beach this afternoon before coming back home again Oh its so nice to be back here after our very busy weekend trip

Tuesday is another dull overcast day with rain forecast & a high of 14°C & low of 6°C. DH has sorted some paperwork & given me an inch of paper to shred = 555 & I have read & recycled a newspaper = 556 I have my first cuppa of the day, the timer is on & I am going straight into cheerleading - wish me luck 🍀
Sounds like a lovely weekend charlies_tribe 😊 Great work in your bedroom on Friday 👏 …. I just realised how ‘saucy’ that sounds 🤭 An ‘escape room’ experience sounds interesting - I hope you enjoyed it 🤞 Sorry to hear about DD3’s fainting spell but very pleased that she is OK 😮💨 Hopefully she is over the worst of her cold & is now recovering 🙏 What a perfect way to spend a Sunday - watching films 😊 hopefully with some suitable snacks 😉 Steady decluttering - it all helps 👏 I learn something new everyday - microwaveable teddies 🤩
QueenJess, I wouldn’t call it “backwards progress” more like ‘forward planning’ ☺️ Good luck with tidying & decluttering the library 🍀 Steady decluttering 👏 P.S. An early Happy Birthday to your DD 🎉 🎂 just in case I fall behind with the cheerleading 😉
Lovely to see you Wednesday2000 👋 I do hope that the medical cannabis has been helping with the pain 🙏 What a busy Monday - it sounds like all your motivation showed up at once 😊 Excellent decluttering in the kitchen 👏 worthy of a medal 🏅 which is on its way 😊
_Dolly_Rocker_ nice to see you back 👋
GrannyKate, sounds like a busy but enjoyable weekend ☺️ What a wonderful age range 10 to almost 20 😊 that should mean that all your DGCs are of an age to help you out 😂 only joking 😉 Excellent decluttering 👏 & pleased to hear that the bedroom renovations are almost complete 👏 I hope the new bed turned up on time yesterday 🤞 Ouch to the expense of 4 new tyres 😣 Keeping everything crossed that the building work for the new kitchen goes smoothly & quickly & that the builders don’t make too much mess 🤞 Good luck dealing with the frogs 🍀
Muddy_Walker, very pleased to hear This “Parental visit for early Mothers Day yesterday. Usually I find that very stressful but using the breathing techniques I have been learning it went surprisingly well! Very tired afterwards though.” Also nice to hear that your “2 furry nursemaids” are looking after you ☺️
Wonderful cheerleading sqwiffy ☺️ A busy Monday seeing so much family in the space of a few hours 🥹
Whilst I have been catching up, it has become quite a lot darker & it has rained ☹️ It is also quite cold although I am resisting the temptation to turn on the heating & have opted for putting on a thick fleece 😉
Nice to see you Mrs_Money_Penny 👋 Excellent decluttering especially the digital decluttering 👏 A Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way for sailing past the 3,000 mark 😊
Yippee Willowtree222 🥳
Lovely cheerleading sqwiffy 🥹

Nice stroll on the beach after the bits of shopping were sorted. Photographers were great, and the restoration work will take about a week to 10 days so Ben will get his photo back when he comes down for Easter.
I popped into a local bakers called Grace's and treated us to three gorgeous doughnuts, then nipped into Poundland and bought some little pots for the greenhouse for potting up some plugs and seeds into slightly bigger pots and also bought some scarlet Gladioli bulbs for the front garden so been quite productive today. beautiful afternoon and very springlike
Clocks go forward this Saturday which always makes me feel better as I really don't like the long dark winter nights
My DD and son-in-law bought me a small greenhouse for my birthday last month and I can't wait to get stuff growing in there. Got to get the tomato seeds on the go in the conservatory this weekend I have already got a big pot of sweet peas up so they can go in the new greenhouse then at Easter will get them planted up
This is a lovely time of the year and planning how we are going to grow different stuff is one of life's pleasures for me. I'm thinking of getting a vegtrug as my DGD has one in her garden and its waist high so I want to grow some lettuce and maybe some peppers in there and a few herbs as well
I hope everyone has had a good day and the sun has shone down and the washing has dried .Mine went out first thing and most of it is dry or good enough to go on the airer.Nothing like the smell of line dried washing is there
Onwards and upwards chums
