Good morning declutteriAfter a fair nights sleep, I've woken up very tired & fatigued this morning
Its taken me ages to get out of bed and get going and I'm not expecting things to improve much during the day
I've managed to clutter up the washing machine with babyfaces bath towls and a couple of her fleeces which are all washing away at the moment - Will peg out on the washing line when finished as it's going to be another sunny day.I decluttered the HH bins, sprayed and cleaning kitchen surfaces, draining board, dish rack and sink, fridge freezer doors, and kitchen cupboard doors and drawers while waiting for the kettle to boil before making a large thermos flask and a lovely large mug of coffee which I'm decluttering now while trying to catchup on a couple of MSE threadsThe only problem is, I keep nodding off, so it looks like I will need to go back to bed once the washing is on the line and I've made babyfaces breakfastBabyface is unusally still in bed snoring her head off, so obviously enjoyed yesterday to the fullest
My only plans for today are to package 3 items sold on eBy late last night with anymore sales that might follow during today. I've already pre-packed eBy auction items which have bids on and finish tonight, so the hallway will be filled with parcels all ready to declutter off to postie tomorrow along with decluttered recycled free packaging from Mr.Sains, take babyface for a morning walk, sit and drink a nice large mug of coffee in the garden while babyface does her fruit-loop laps of honour, have a shower, defrost & heat up homemade dinners for me and babyface in the microwave & scofff eat, and have a short sleep before going to visit Gorgeous Gorda at some point this afternoon. It doesn't sound like much, but that's a huge amount based on how I'm physically feeling and moving at the moment - oops, nodding off again while typingBabyface has just come thundering down the hallway, so gotta go!@ Soontobeoap - I will try to post a 'Totally FREE Christmas' thread at some point, hopefully today, when & if I've got the energy

I’m visiting friends this weekend and have decluttered some sample from Aesop to them, I used another 2 face cream samples while I have been here. Did buy some fabric off cuts from a beautiful haberdashery in Lincoln, I think I’ve come up with a solution though on how I can sell on the scraps I don’t use, which will be a godsend for me, I have lots, have a restful Sunday all, do what keeps you happy xDecluttering Challenge 2025/1483

I spent 3 hours decluttering toiletries yesterday. Almost filled a carrier bag.
Packing is starting slowly. It all needs to ramp up.16 -
- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday: I was up by 09:15 & am now wrapped up in my fluffy dressing gown having my first cuppa & will finish the cheerleading for Thursday’s posts. Another bright & sunny start to the day but still rather cold 🥶 with a forecast high of 9°C & low of 0°C

Hi,
I forgot to say, a neighbour came round and I happened to be knitting. I gave her a knitted hat. She works in a cold factory so wears a hat every day.
Only me and the keen knitter on Friday . I have started her off on a corner to corner blanket. She picks things up very quickly. One of the other ladies has just adopted a dog from the dogs home in Manchester, which is lovely for both her and the dog.
Nice to hear how you are all getting on. Also forgot to say. Retired in France, I would love to be a lady who lynches! I would love to join your lynch club.
Iv'e done it again, talked myself into trying to sell the house again. At the moment there are only 2 houses for sale in the area that I would consider buying. There are 419 for sale within a 5 mile radius. 5 miles is certainly only a suggestion to rightmove! They spread more like 10 miles.I will talk to the Estate Agent tomorrow. If they have people actively trying to buy them I will hold my horses. If not I will get the house on the market. If there is no chance i will wait till Easter.
So with this in mind I need to resurrect my note book with my to do lists. I will go through each room and write down anything that needs to be done. Not much really. Apart from a good tidy up in the garden, and clean the inside windows we are good to go.
My step son is coming on Thursday and we will empty the storage shed and fit the carpet tiles in there. It's more of an insulated garden room really. I hope there will be a tip run when everything is being put back in. I have to say Mr V has done so well over the past few years at discarding excess stuff. It has reduced from a double garage full to the rafters and a stuffed loft to 3 sheds. It could easily be 2 sheds as he doesn't subscribe to my mantra, don't put it down, put it away.He tidies up in there constantly but it never quite gets there!
I have full week ahead, just how I like it.
Take care all Vx:13 -

Not much general decluttering here this week as I am still on a battle to eradicate the condensation mould. I got.back onto it straight after family had moved back to mainland out of our spare bedroom.although I had washed everywhere down thoroughly with anti mould stuff, the ceiling is already showing signs . With 4 bodies sleeping in there the condensation took hold again
I have a dehumidifier in there but there is only so much it can do. Anyway I have spent this week preparing and painting the bay window area with anti mould paint that is supposed to keep it at bay for 6 years. At least that area should be sorted for a bit. I found the paint very difficult to work with. It looked normal paint consistency but didn't seem to spread as well. Reluctant to try and do the ceiling as it was hard enough doing the bay window
It also took a lot of paint. However I am pleased with the finished look. ( The paint only seems to come in white). Result of all of this washing down ,preparing and painting is one bin bag full of sandpaper, newspaper, paint tins, brush, roller and tray out. The tray and roller had been languishing in a cupboard so I am very pleased that they have been used and decluttered.

Hello I seem to have been MIA since the end of January because of mainly health issues so many apologies for that. Perhaps my oomph was left on a train too, sadly it couldn't have been on that plane to the Caribbean as it doesn't have a passport !! I hope everyone is well and keeping up with the decluttering, sadly I am almost 90 pages behind.
I have been plodding along quietly and lots of unwanted stuff has left the building. Last week 3 black rubbish bags filled with shredded paper was recycled and today I have been ruthless with my craft stuff so 2/3rds has been recycled, binned or gone in the cs bag. It's sad really as I love crafting but I haven't really done anything for about 2 years. Some of it was left over from making things with the DGC but at almost 16 and 14 they're not interested now, so it's out.
I emptied a " really useful" storage box, 5 small stackable containers and a small 3 drawer unit, all have been donated to DH for his office as he has lots of stuff just falling on the floor so now there's no excuse about keeping things tidy ! I also emptied 2 large shoe boxes of bits and bobs including xmas/ birthday labels, cut up cards, 2 unopened packs of doilies and one of crafting leaves. The boxes are now in the cardboard recycling bag ready for collection this week. Most of my scrapbooking card stock and paper will be donated to the cs or a local crafting group.
The office was culled of my books and half are now awaiting disposal to the cs, they're going to love me with all the stuff I have for them, I just hope they are taking donations. 2 empty box files and a lever arch file has gone too.
2 chipped glasses and a mug plus a couple of rusty knives and forks have been binned, why did I keep them ? When written down it sounds a lot but it doesn't seem to have made much of a dent 😟
MrsSD many thanks for all your cheerleading and keeping the EDT going.
Special thanks to those in the TLC carriage where I seem to spend most of my time lately playing with the kittens, keeping up with the gossip and eating calorie free cakes 😁Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently18 -
Yoshimi2025 - I have lots of fabric scraps but the intention is to use them in a patchwork quilt - will it happen?
vulpix - I am surprised that you might move - I thought you were still improving your garden. I couldn't bear the thought of moving.
Went to Church this morning with Mr F - he nearly fell while crossing a road.
I finished wrapping and labelling Eb.. sales this afternoon after our main meal.
I am having a lazy afternoon.
