Good morning. Yesterday was a busy day. The shopping arrived but the pantry was in such a state that I couldn't put it away. I pulled everything out that was on the floor. Dh hoovered it out. He took out one of the bottom shelves so that bottles fit on the shelf that wasn't being used as couldn't get to it, instead of on the floor. I took the small shelf unit from the living room that just had hair stuff on it into the pantry. Then worked through each shelf, theres just 1 shelf left to do. It still needs more/better shelves but for now it looks a lot better and hopefully it lasts more than a couple of weeks.
There was a lot of things went as just wasn't being eaten or had gone past its date. Wish I had a before and after picture as it looks so neat and tidy... for now. Im declaring 15 items as DH was moving it before I logged it but im sure there was a lot more.

I gave the playroom some attention last weekend. DD had set aside a shelf of items that she wasn't going to use. I sorted through them, some went to charity if they were new, some went to school to use up. I finished the shredding pile!!!!! There will always be more as the study is also a tip, but 1 area first
Still struggling with beauty. I've cut hand creams that don't squeeze anymore, but they seem to go on forever. Although my favourite shampoo, shower gel finish quickly! It doesn't help that I get free products from work to replenish the ones I've used. But, I do love my freebies
I've made a bird container for the seeds etc that I found at the back of the cupboard, they don't seem to mind that they are ood.
I sorted out a bag of items that had seen better days and put them in a rags bag. Sorted out some of the children's old fancy dress items and that went to charity.
Good times and I can definitely see a difference in the playroom. Lot's to go still.Decluttering target:

Apologies again for being AWOL, life seems to be getting away from me.
Really sorry to hear about your loss @charlies_tribe.
Hugs to those in need, congratulations to those who have good news and have done well.
I've had a sort out of a cupboard of tinned pulses that have been looking at me and I've barely touched.
I'm taking most to the food bank, the rest have been taken to a couple of friends or donate to my church.
I've also had a sort of of a couple of other bits in my cupboard that have been passed onto people.
Especially as they were dated in 6 months time and their were for too much for me to get through in that time.
I will learn eventually to not bulk buy stuff I'm not going to eat or am keen on.
I'm going to have another sort out of the cupboard at some point and eventually get the freezer defrosted and cleaned as well as tidying up and decluttering other areas of the place.Decluttering campaign 2023

and having stopped procrastinating and making an attempt to sling the hoover (well Vax actually) about I wondered why it wasn't working very well. Seems that the last person that used it managed to run over some ring pulls from something and that had jammed in the long bit along with lots of someone's little cigar wrappers. Thankfully being a sunny day I was able to do a full unjam outside where the birds with be able to take advantage of the wooly fluff from our carpet for any nest building. Will be asking "someone" to do the high bits of dusting that I can't reach.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. jacwins, I am also still struggling with beauty, or lack of.
I attempted to make soup last night, forgot veg was cooking away for several hours. Doh! it tastes ok but I doubt it has any nutritional value left.
Still procrastinating with the 2 frogs I need to eat today. I will gird my loins and phone DVLA right now.

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedcb
Monday: another bright, crisp & sunny morning with a forecast high of 11°C & a low of -1°C. I was up & dressed by 10:30 & DH & DSis were already up. DSis headed off to the surgery for a thyroid test. Last night we watched the last episode of Call The Midwife + the semi finals of Dancing on Ice & The Great Pottery Throwdown & were both pleased with the finalists for each 😊 DH is just heading out & will be completing his ‘overground stations list’ apart from Battersea Power Station. I am now settling down to respond to posts dated 1st March:

Dizzycap, what a busy Saturday 🤩 I was going to tell you off for This “It doesn't sound as though I've done much today” but you qualified it with This “but I've been awake all day and have completed loads of HH chores including hoovering” so I will let you off 😉 I do hope you had enough energy for a shower as a reward 🙏 I am also hoping that you had a quieter Sunday with lots of rest & play time with babyface 😊

110) spare drinks bottle bit into recycling
111) Delicate Christmas lights I had sorted and were ready to wrap around a small wooden tree-recycling. The cats had other ideas and I found them in several bits….obviously the cats disapproved!!!

vulpix - I used to enjoy gardening and in my first marriage we had a huge garden plus 2 allotments - not up to it now.
Mr F fell again yesterday - said he slipped - bruised and cut his ear.
I was in bed this morning and could hear noises - when I got up - realised that the heating had come on - thermostat is set at 15 when we go to bed. The heating didn't come on at all last winter and so far until now. It must have been very low temperatures outside last night.
I wrapped a parcel for Eb.. this morning and took a very heavy shopping trolley full of sold items to the post office.
I only needed milk today so got that on my way back home. I called at SA to print a label - the farmer had been with his usual donation of unsold fruit & veg - I just took a chilli for tomorrow's stir fry.
I booked a taxi for Mr F's trip to the Doctor. Doctor was running late. Mr F has a slow pulse - having an ECG next week. He has put on some weight.
Dr has referred Mr F to the hospital fall's clinic - sure this has been done before but we never got an appointment. Mr F's blood count has gone up but he is still anemic and there is a problem with his liver enzymes. We were also told that Mr F has had a small stroke - fairly recently - not told this in hospital.
