Doesn't some sunshine and some signs of spring cheer you up, even if it's bloomin freezing. My snowdrops are looking beautiful and the daffs are making an effort to come through.
Floreneem, you have to love the NHS but it isn't very joined up. Your GP does sound on the ball now with Mr F. Good news that on the whole Mr F continues to improve. I love gardening but nowadays it's no dig and perennials for me. I have never grown much veg, I found I ended up with a glut and it's cheaper in the supermarket anyway. I do grow strawberries which taste lovely. I have a kiwi vine which I grew from a kiwi seed in an Aldi kiwi. I doubt it will ever fruit as it doesn't get enough sun here.
Mrs SD , I must have missed that Mr SD is visiting all the overground London railway stations. I would love that, I am a proper geek. When we are on a road trip we always get a coffee from Mc Donalds. I always say they should do an i spy book so you could tick off all the ones you have visited. Years ago I made my own i spy book of animal fleeces spotted in the wild. You very rarely see them these days sadly. Yes I know, I am crackers.
It was a faff with DVLA. I tried to do it online and received an email telling me to phone. On hold for 1.5 hours. I had to do it, now or never. I thought that if I didn't do it but not drive I might get in trouble with insurance or whatever so stuck with it. Big questionnaire winging its way to me. It will be a couple of months for them to make a decision once I have sent the thing back. So that frog eaten. The second frog is nibbled, a phone call made so I can now move it along.
I am now off to put some framed pictures in the airing cupboard. I was going to make a picture wall in the spare room but they can move off the bed and wait for another house now.
I have also finished the orangey corner to corner blanket. I will knit some baby things in Eastery colours for the charity shop next.
Weight loss is going ok. 4 weeks to go and I am 5lb off losing a stone.

Still going a bit backwards today
I did go through the present drawer though and tried to make sure we weren't going crazy for DD's birthday in a couple weeks. I have some stuff deferred for Xmas already!
4 things in today - a top for me (replacing another one going out), a scrapbook DS wanted from Buy Nothing and then packaging for both those things that I will endeavour to reuse on things exiting the house. Hoping to get back to a net negative outflow of physical stuff this month.Physical:
1 - top that I don’t like wearing (charity box)
1 - colouring book (charity box)
1 - book (Buy Nothing)New total = 770New use up total = 43Net physical things in/(out) = 39PS - does anyone know why the spell check on MSE posts is American? Yes, endeavour does have a u in it in this country. I think someone's selected the wrong settings!2025 decluttering: 3,452🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Evening all,
Not much to report here. Mum is staying with me again to avoid my alcoholic brother who lives with her. I've told her this is NOT a long term solution to her problems at home.

@ Brie - "procrastinating about decluttering the dust, fluff and general chaos in the lounge....." and "and having stopped procrastinating and making an attempt to sling the hoover (well Vax actually) about I wondered why it wasn't working very well. Seems that the last person that used it managed to run over some ring pulls from something and that had jammed in the long bit along with lots of someone's little cigar wrappers." - I couldn't decided which one made me laugh the most, so decided both were equal LOL winnersMy crosuses are virtually all out along with snow drops still appearing but the Narcissi & daffs are late this year. I've had a deep pink Hycynthia which blossomed at the beginning of January and it's still in blossom while the others are only just waking up and beginning to grow - There's always one!
Nice to see that Spring is on it's way.
Decluttering & What A Day:Usual early morning HH paper bins only as I now like to empty the kitchen bin and clean it at night, along with the draining board, dishrack, sink & surfaces while the kettle was boiling. Still having huge probelms with keep awake but I didn't know if I was coming or going today. Took babyface for early morning walk before 3 Dr's appointments, 2 at the surgery for bloods both at different times, agaibn, along with a telephone call with Dr squeezed in between.Another babyface walk at 10.30am followed by a visit to see Gorgeous Gorda who is a changed dogHer eyes were gleaming with happiness and she was so relaxed and content playing ball, tickle tummy games, and kisses, cuddles & snuggles. She's also lost some weight, which she really needed to because of her spine. She's eating well but is so happy that food isn't the main focus of her life, living is! Can't get better than that xxxxx
I got back home at 12.30pm to babyface wanting snuggles & cuddles while I drank 2 peaceful mugs of coffeeThen postie came to collect all the hallway airport departure parcelswhilst making his usual "Are you still here? I thought you would have finished moving out by now" comment
- He soon stopped laughing when he realised he had to do 3 collections as there were too many to fit in his mail trolly. Fortunately, the delivery office is only 30 meters away and I did warn the delivery office early this morning when I dropped a 24 hoiur tracked off that there was a very large load to collect and perhaps it would be better to send a van to collect, but it fell on deaf ears
I can't remember what has happened after all of that, except I'm absolutely shattered, have listed nothing, ate half my dinner, took babyface for her evening walk and picked up an inpost parcel for a neighbour which I decluttered off on the way back, and now I'm in MSE while drinking another large cup of coffee......Wishing everyone a lovely peaceful night and hugs to all who want them xxxx~ NSD 2025 - NSD July 20/20 (6 x💯)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - Ongoing~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £1634.34 / £2025 (58%) (3) 💯💯+# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1378 / £1378 💯# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £13,429.74 / £12,000 💯 - Continuing18 -
Dizzycap- is your neighbour buying half your parcels? 😆 you are forever sending multiples of yours away and picking up multiple parcels for them 😆
What are you selling? You're very successful, I have things on e'@y that just sit with noone interested (maybe my stuff is only valuable to me 🤔 😆 )

Monday continued: DH phoned & he is on his way back from Chingford. I have spent 30 minutes clearing down bookmarks & am back down to 19.86 GB of 64GB storage 😊 Now putting iPad on charge. Unfortunately I forgot to come back 😉 Although I did write up March & April birthday cards & read my magazine. Dinner was an HF recipe, whilst I did the prepping DH went out for a quick walk to up his step count. Dinner was chicken parmigiana, with mash & garlicky green beans 🤤 it even looked like the picture which was a good sign 😉 Wudupa

Dxxx- I send far more out than I do pick up the odd 1 or 2 inpost parcels for presently sick/post-op neighbours who are unable to get out at the moment.
I have several quality expensive clothing & accessories gifts/items stored in my never ending 'Tardis Wardrobe of Doom' which I've now fully decluttered in terms of seperating CS items which have all but left the building and 2 remaining fairly full wardrobe comparments containing mainly brand new items that I'm listing when I have the energy / time as I also have to part bed rest - Dr's ordersThe money made from sales is all going towards a nice long weekend break for myself, daughter & daxie babyface
- we had such an awful 2024 with losing at least one dear friend each month between us, along with 14 funerals. A year that was a total blur, full of grief, and one we both wish to try and forget with 2025 not starting much better, either.
Decluttering Tuesday Begins:Woke up at 3.30am and couldn't get back to sleep so up with the usual HH paperbin decluttering, sprayed kitchen work surfaces, draining board, dish rack, sink & fridge shelves & freezer door and seal wash and clean out. Dinner out defrosting ready for tonight which will be put in the frudge in and hours time.2 loads of babyface think fleece wsh loads already done and out on the line with the bed fully stripped and bedding waiting to clutter up the washing machine soon.Presently decluttering a very welcomed mug of coffee before I get the hoover out and sling it around the house a little, put the 3rd load of washing on and washing/cleaning the bathroom suit, throwing some bleach down the toilet, filling up the toilet roll basket and then washing the bathroom & kitchen floors - I've got to change the toilet & bath mat over in the bathroom and wash the used - Spring must be around the corner if I'm cleaning so early in the morning!I'm also going to sterilise the washing machine and make up a lovely clean fresh bed after it's aired for a while.I'll take babyface for a morning walk before the chaos of the day begins with yet more dr surgery appointmentsI'm also taking Gorgeous Gorda to the Vet to have a full health check with her microchip now being updated with new ownership details and pet health plan now in place being connected directly to the Vet Surgery, so today's check up and any treatment will be free as it's covered by the pet health plan
Time to get the washing out, reload the washing machine and declutter another mug of coffee.Wishing everyone a terrific decuttering Tuesday - Toodle-pip for now xxxx~ NSD 2025 - NSD July 20/20 (6 x💯)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - Ongoing~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £1634.34 / £2025 (58%) (3) 💯💯+# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1378 / £1378 💯# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £13,429.74 / £12,000 💯 - Continuing18 -
Good morning. Another busyish day yesterday. We did the top shelf that was left in the pantry. There's just a small pile left now to sort that doesn't seem to fit back on the shelf. Thee was loads of OOD cereal bars and biscuits.
Then sorted through the dogs cupboard. There was a tiny food bowl, some tiny puppy clothes, a tiny harness... even if we had a new dog in the future, I don't think it would be a toy breed again.
And then one of the DC managed to break another phone charger. The same Child has probably had 5 in the last 6 months, im not sure I've ever had to replace one for the others. No idea what they do with them.
Well better go and get kids up and ready for school and get dressed as DD1 wants to go to Meadowhell today, definitely not looking forward to it.

Hi all, I have had an up and down few days. The dentist on Friday went better than I was expecting money wise as I was expecting to need a crown but he managed to fix it. Unfortunately the chair kicked my back off again so I have been struggling a bit, luckily I have a big box of ibuprofen 😁 and I was able to do some things if I remembered to move carefully, it is on the mend now. Saturday I had a union meeting which lasted longer than expected but was productive. I had hoped to join in a guided walk in a local park focusing on the Welsh heritage here as it was St David's day but the meeting lasted too long.
The sun has been out and it was warm enough to have coffee over the fence with ln yesterday for the first time this year. We both agreed it was so nice to be able to sit out for a while and we had even managed to get the garden waste bin filled for the first collection of the year this morning 😁, mostly by ln though I did put a few bits in 😁.
I have also made the first step in the long term frog of sorting out the kitchen 😁 I have made contact with a builder who is allegedly coming next week to look at putting a toilet in the understairs cupboard. This will need to be done before the kitchen is done as it will take the larder space from the kitchen as well. I am ridiculously happy that I have even got a builder to answer the phone😂, I have been trying to make contact with a builder for about a month. Everything crossed that he turns up when he said he will 😂 and I will be able to retain at least half of a working kitchen while the work is being done 😂.
In between times I have 4 LDFPA, the joy of line drying rather than the maiden 😁, bathroom bin, bedroom bin, lr bin, kitchen bin, bedroom recycling, kitchen recycling, lr recycling and the kitchen bin again. The bird feeders have been topped up, the car has been cleaned, my Christmas flowers finally bit the dust, I have been removing the dead ones and changing the water but the last ones finally went into the green waste bin 😁 and a pair of Sunday knickers into the rag bag.
I tried to take a big bag to my favourite cs but it was closed again. I will have to make a concerted effort to choose another one. There are a few around but the parking is tricky and some have signs saying no donations as they have very little storage space.
I have started sorting through the towels as some are getting a bit frayed etc and I will see if the local animal shelter can use some when I have a bag full. So a bit of sorting but not much actually left the house yet 😂.
I have read all the posts but I have forgotten what I wanted to say 😂 so time for another cuppa and hugs to anybody who would like one
