small declutter. OH didn't like the clothes pegs I bought (stainless steel, incredibly sturdy, guaranteed to keep a large bath sheet on the line in a gale) so he took them off the line and put them in a green plastic box on the table outside. I didn't realise that it also contained a lot of nail, screws and wall plugs. It has sat out on the table since last summer, filled repeatedly full of water so that all the nails and screws were thoroughly rusted. Which has added a layer of rust to the clothes pegs. Everything other than the pegs have been binned (which means OH will be looking for them next week....) and the pegs have been divided into 2 camps - those that are clean and those that have some rust. I've done a double soak in denture tablets in hot water and scrubbed but some will be irredeemable so will be binned as well. The rest I will keep as even if he doesn't like them for holding up his knickers on the line they are excellent for me to use holding my art work on easels etc.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Just had a mad moment whilst cooking dinner tonight. Tidied the Tupperware / Chinese containers from under stair cupboard. There are only so many one girl needs! Whilst tossing realis s there are some little mites in there. Like you get in flour. I only spotted one but decided to give everything a good old wash. A quarter of a bin bag full of unwanted stuff. Will clean cupboard out properly tomorrow. Not sure what's for into me today!😊craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Haven’t posted for a while but have kept up with reading the thread.
Thank you to Liverpool Anne and Mrs SD for your suggestions re: ivy. We haven’t been able to do any more clearing this week however we hope to have a 20 minute session tomorrow.
This week have completed stage 2 of a 3 stage frog, put some bits and pieces away, de-scaled the kettle, uu more of the food stores, received a Tesco delivery (first sm shop since 6 January), bought some new kitchen items to replace old ones which is something I have needed to do for some time, and today made a start on the filing cabinet. I now have numerous piles of paper on the bed but very satisfyingly several other piles have either gone into recycling, the fire lighter bucket or accounts box to go in the loft. There’s plenty more files to go through but the night is yet young.
ETA - scrap paper pile also topped up from filing cabinet clear out session. Also, met OH in the hallway with a pile of paper for the recycling bin so it seems there is something in the air in the ocean household.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅17 -

DH went out in the car to update the GPS software as a prelude to updating the maps. He was out about 40 minutes.
vulpix, excellent work decluttering clothing 👏 Good luck with your plan to wear more of your clothes rather than the same tried & trusted items 🍀 Hopefully you will find some exceptionally beautiful mugs & donate the others to the CS 🤞At least the pretty biscuit tin you ‘snaffled’ will only be a temporary resident 😅 Good luck with the frogs 🍀
GrannyKate, I hope you enjoyed your meeting on Friday 😊 Sounds like the renovations are going very well 😊 Great work getting rid of the bag of wallpaper so quickly 👏So pleased that your crocuses will be used to brighten fill out the public area 😊

Mostly backwards progress to report as I've spent most of the weekend resting in the tlc carriage. I have however popped an orange drizzle cake in there.Good things to report: I finished making all the gift cards and nearly done all the xmas cards. The box of stuff has almost disappeared now and I mainly have a small pile of actual xmas cards I shall upcycle into new ones. The huge freezer is about 1/3 full now
Hoping to defrost by the end of the month. All DD's new to her clothes have been washed, sorted and filed away.
Not so good things to report: Washing machine has broken- waiting for an engineer, I recluttered the house with 1 puzzle (am making it right now), 1 cookbook (actually got so many amazing recipes in) and 15 things from art supplies for the kids (which they love and have been using all; weekend). All absolutely free stuff from Buy Nothing though. DS bought home some sort of Egyptian hat he made at school that he doesn't want, but can't be recycled as it's shiny card. I've decided to save it for card making, so it's added to my to do pile as I'll need to deconstruct it.

Update on Decluttering today:I'm afraid not a lot but still a little. I've managed to empty the HH bins tonight, packed sold decluttered items and pre-packed eBy items which have auction bids on. Postie won't believe the hallway tomorrow, I know I don't
I've had to create 3 piles of parcels in the hallway so that they can't be seen through the top glass panel, otherwise neighbours will think I'm moving out; I know the postie already does!
along with twitching net curtains and tongues a wagging early tomorrow morning
I've only managed to list one item today, but better than nothing. On the plus side, the Mr. Sains recycled packaging is going down a treat and I will have to do another restock free run sometime during the week. The Tardis Wardrobe of Doom seems to be never ending, although to be fair, I do reorganised as more space becomes available but it doesn't seem to make much differenceTime to declutter another mug of coffee and pre-pack another eBy item that just had a bid on. Hi,
Florenceem, I was going to extend the garden into a piece of unclaimed land. I gave up on the idea last year as I realised I am physically not up to the hard graft any more that it would take. It nearly finished me off dealing with about an acre infested with Himalayan Balsam. I just don't want to end my days here. It is extremely quiet and I think I would like to see a bit of life going on. I also find the close proximity to the woods quite oppressive.
I have been thinking about moving all day and have decided to wait a while. Both houses I like are very expensive and both would need a lot of money spending on them. I will look for houses when we are good to go.
