I went to singing group last night - had a good time.
This morning I have been out to unlock at SA - very cold wind here - definitely hat and gloves weather.
Mr F is still in bed as I am behind with jobs today - he comes down after I have cleaned.
I will be taking a parcel to the post office and 2 to the off licence later. I also have a bag for the charity shop ready in my shopping trolley.
I have decided that the Al.. shopping can wait another day. I must finish the grey curtains today.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

@floss Yes it’s got much easier to recycle them, still feel a bit guilty about it though 😮💨🤗Decluttering Challenge 2025/1483

Yoshimi2025 said:@sqwiffy yeah it’s tricky trying to limit plastic use, I’ve been getting meat from the butcher and veggies from the market but mostly my veggies come free from Olio, that’s where my biggest plastic use comes from, save the food or refuse the plastic, it’s a dilemma. I’m sure supermarkets could do better, recycling soft plastic has got easier, the biggest offenders in my house are the cats and their dreamies 🤣 wish I could find a homemade treat recipe that they wouldn’t turn their noses up at. 🐱
Liver treats (left)
You will need:
· 1 pound (250ml) chicken, lamb or beef liver
· 1 cup (250ml) skimmed milk
· 2 cups (280g) flour (try 1 cup brown rice flour and 1 cup oat flour)
· 3 tablespoons olive oil
· 2 raw eggs
· 2 tablespoons dry parsley
Method
1. Puree the liver and milk in a blender until smooth. Mix the flour, oil, eggs and parsley in a bowl.
2. Fold the liver puree into the mixture and stir until ingredients form a smooth paste.
3. Pour into a greased 9in x 13in pan and bake at 180oC (350oF) for 30-35 minutes. Treats are done when a toothpick pulls out of the treats clean.
Keep what will be used for three to four days in the fridge, and place the remainder in several small containers and freeze until needed.
I found that Mr Sains... sell frozen chicken livers at a very good price. You do need a food processor or blender to get a smooth consistency. I skipped the parsley as I didn't have any, (still building up my basics store), and used white flour as likewise, that was what I had in at the time. 😻😻
I also have an oat cookie recipe; I've not tried it though because to my mind, cats don't naturally eat grains. DxxAiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

Dizzycap - no that message is in the correct place. People often leave/lose items on the decluttering train - especially get up & go and enthusiasm for getting rid of stuff.

I have a cold (which ds has thoughtfully decluttered to me). I'm ok for gentle taking it easy type of stuff and I am up and dressed so I have high hopes of not feeling any worse than I do today.
Declutter wise, Sunday's total was 4 to make a round 5 for the weekend and with the help of ds who can reach high shelves in the kitchen there's been another 45 items added to the declutter count so far this week. Even better we took 2 black bin bags and 2 carrier bags of stuff to the charity shop yesterday so a lot of the clutter has now left the building.
I've also decluttered some yarn making blankets and pillows for my little great niece's B@rbie doll house. My sister's dogs have ruined the ones that came with the furniture. I need to go out to post the parcel this afternoon.
@Dizzycap I'm loving the daxie updates. I'm still wondering how to make a takeaway parcel for foxes though.

Your oomph is in the lost property box waiting for you. Nice to see you back. How is it all going?
Oh I had such a nice evening last night. We went to Sheffield to DD1's. Mr V's football team and her BF's football team were playing each other. She cooked a no pasta lasagne and a good time was had by all. They have adopted a 6 month old kitten who just loves people, what a little cutie. She is grey and white like Sox and is called Misty.
There is a £2 chazzer near her house so I did buy 3 things which I have yet to try on, some black trousers,a linen, cotton traders top and a jumper that will never fit me but I had a feeling about. Looked it up and vintage jumpers are for sale at £250. I will donate it to my favourite charity shop for them to sell in their ebay shop. The cheapest online were asking £35 so even that is not to be sniffed at.
I had a Pilgrim necklace on yesterday, that can also go to the "good" charity shop. It is very pretty but too girly for me I think.
