@ Yoshimi2025 - I'm assuming that your Green wheelie bin is a Garden waste bin based upon you using compost bins? I pay £40 a year for the garden wheelie bin, but then it's full and beyond for most of the year and needs to be emptied every 2 weeks. Fortunately, I also have free access and use of a second garden bin for the overflow, if needed, which it usually isDecluttered parcel off to postie at 2.30pm then had 4 eby sales within 2 minutes of him leaving - typical! Will securely pack and declutter into the RM Quad locker later when I take babyface for her evening walk xxI'm delighted to say that the mega wadrobe of total doom piles are decreasing and so is all the free recycled flatpack Sains boxes, so will probably have to do another box run next week. I'm definately on the home run with the final decluttering stage and can finally see the woods for the trees.I've run out of steam with taking pics and listing items, so will leave that until later tonight or probably early tomorrow morning.Time to clutter up on dinner as I'm starving and babyface is nagging me for her belly full too!toodle-pip for now xxxx~ NSD 2025 - NSD July 0/20 (6 x💯)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - Ongoing~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £1165 / £2025 (58%) (3) 💯💯+# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1378 / £1378 💯# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £12,114.14 / £12,000 💯 - Continuing15

Dizzycap - mango, grapes and bananas are some of my favourite fruits. I don't have sugar in tea.
GrannyKate - Sir Sox is one handsome puss.
Liverpool_Anne - I had a blood test some while ago and my number was almost at the pre diabetic level. I have no symptoms.
vulpix - I think that is the problem - even with the walking foot - there has been some creeping.
I relisted the returned V item and the buyer bought it straight away.
Been a very wet day here.
I have hand sewn the curtain hems - just the lining hems to do now.
Today was friendship/lunch club and a return for Mr F.
I sorted out some bags of donations. I brought a few bits home to list for sale.
I have an awkward parcel to wrap.
I haven't decided if I am going to singing group this evening.
I have one item finishing on Eb.. this evening.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

listed lots of food frozen from the Olio app that is still good to use for 2 months, like tofu, waffles and cheese and they all went, 45 items, freeing up freezer space for me for my monthly shop.I love the olio app, I do 3 collections a week, most of the food goes, sometimes I’m left with veg which goes in the compost, I drop some off after I’ve collected to local people who don’t drive or have young kids and can’t get out in the evening. It’s definitely worth trying if you live near a super marketDecluttering Challenge 2025/1483

Yoshimi2025 said:@dizzycap I decided to get rid of my green wheelie bin as our council now charge £50 to collect it, I bought one compost bin and found another that had been fly tipped and just use those now, also I’ve got a recycling wheelie bin, I don’t use much plastic so it gets emptied about every 12 weeks so didn’t need the extra 3 bins, someone might as well have the use of them on their recycling journey. I tend to buy things in glass if I can or cans, I’ve been convinced that plastic doesn’t actually get recycled so just don’t buy it.
I cannot see how you don't buy plastic nowadays! It's almost impossible. You find only 1 or two vegetables that aren't covered with it in the supermarket and practically everything you buy is wrapped in it. I try not to buy single use or at least reuse it somehow. It seems to be getting harder despite supermarkets saying they are doing better.
TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Random at present but not very organised.15 -
I seem to be having another disturbed nights sleep, so I might as well write up a decluttering plan of action for the day in the hope that I feel tired by the end of it or start it before I feel tired again1) Empty all HH bins & put out the HH & Garden Wheelie Bins ready for decluttering collection on Friday.2) Hoover through the house & clean & dust where needed, which is most places3) Pop off to the charity shop while taking babyface for a morning walk to drop off a few items still sitting the dolly trolly:-(4) Wash the outside of the front door, porch and front & side windows.5) Clean up the piles of leaves in the corners on the driveway with the leaf blower, check all plants / greenery to see if any decluttering / feeding needs doing & put collected leaves etc in the garden waste bin ready for the Friday decluttering collection.6) Check the guttering and clean, if needed, as loads of rain forecast again here7) Clean out and refil the birdbath, water plates, and feeders refilling with wildlife goodies8) Wash and sterilise the foxes feeding and watering bowls9) Check all the bulb pots10) Check on the swans as the huge nest has been built but eggs have yet to be laid.11) Take some more pics of items to list & actually list them in order to declutter out of the house asap.12) Afternoon rest & sleep.13) Prepare & eat dinner for 2, obviously!14) Pack and prepare for sending / send / collection any decluttered sold items.15) Put the phone on silent, PJ's on and in bed to watch some comedy while snuggling up with babyfaceGorgeous Rescue & Highly Intelligent Daxie 'Gorda', who is absolutely loving & thriving in her new forever home, says 'Hello World'

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday: Up before 11:00 - appears to have been raining for hours & has got heavier since I got up 🙁 Currently 8°C but according to the forecast feels like just 2°C The back garden is starting to look like a quagmire 😦 DH went out - he is using trains, buses & tube trains & getting his steps in by walking between stations & stops. Rain stopped about 14:30 so took the opportunity to put a bin bag in the wheelie bin & put the office recycling in the appropriate wheelie bin.

Will start with Monday’s cheerleading & apologies for falling behind again 😔
Dizzycap, This “I have to totally agree with January & February feeling as though it's got 10 extra days it. This month seems never ending 😕 All of last Monday I spent most of the day thinking it was Thursday and had to keep checking my diary and laptop on and off throughout the day - It was crazy! Then the same thing happened on Wednesday and boy was I relieved when we actually got to Thursday” sounds like a never ending week 😬 Sounds like you & babyface had a relaxing Sunday 😊
Lovely cheerleading post sqwiffy 😊 Good luck with both DH’s dieting 😉 & looking after DM 🍀
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Hopefully the plasterer is now all finished 🤞 & you are putting the finishing touches to the decorating 🙂 Good luck with the frogs 🍀
vulpix, very pleased to hear that even after a poor night’s sleep Sunday you woke up Monday feeling a bit more cheerful 😊
Florenceem, relieved to hear that the physio turned up & has agreed that MrF needs more recovery time before going out alone 😊
Liverpool_Anne, sorry to hear about your bad back 😣 I hope you are now on the mend & that the ibuprofen cream is working 🤞Some excellent decluttering & completion of tasks prior to your injury 👏 Wonderful cheerleading & I especially like This “….. when my ex moved out he sent 2 men with a van and I just pointed to the room and said take it all. They were not amused to have to deal with draws full of clothes etc but I didn't care and when the ex phoned to complain that I hadn't sorted it out for him I gave him very short shrift 😂. I seemed to remember he 'lost ' a mirror in the process that I know the movers took but was never delivered.” sounds like you were well shot of your ex 😂
Tonight’s dinner was leftovers from the freezer - a choice of cheesy pasta or bolognese sauce with conchiglie. DH & I had the cheesy pasta.
390 - 391 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
392 - 393 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
I have caught up one page but haven’t done as well as I intended 😔 I must try harder 😉 Sleep tight 😴

More clutter in - but with a plan. 10 sturdy cardboard boxes and duct tape arrived. Will start clearing and cleaning the sitting room tonight. Plan on labelling all boxes really well and storing them. Most of the things are OHs family things. Anything I come across of mine / ours I’m asking if we really use it - and if not out it goes! Have got several large bags ready to fill for CS. Can’t wait to feel cleaner, clearer and like a weight is lifted off me!Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.17 -
@sqwiffy yeah it’s tricky trying to limit plastic use, I’ve been getting meat from the butcher and veggies from the market but mostly my veggies come free from Olio, that’s where my biggest plastic use comes from, save the food or refuse the plastic, it’s a dilemma. I’m sure supermarkets could do better, recycling soft plastic has got easier, the biggest offenders in my house are the cats and their dreamies 🤣 wish I could find a homemade treat recipe that they wouldn’t turn their noses up at. 🐱Decluttering Challenge 2025/1483

@Yoshimi2025 cat food & treat sachets can be recycled with your soft plastics. I have an outside bin shed where I save my plastic trays & soft plastics, then when I have a box / bag full I take them to the tip / Tesco.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
