Welcome to this thread. This thread is to provide a place to discuss the the top regular savers on offer and is intended to complement Martin Lewis' article which you can read here: Regular Savings Accounts.

The first few posts shall contain a continually updated list of the top regular savers currently on offer and shall be regularly edited by myself to ensure it remains up-to-date.

I am happy for people to use this thread to discuss the regular savers that appear on this list as well as any regular savers that have since been withdrawn but which continue to be held by some, this includes details of people's experiences of the maturity process of regular savers.

I am only adding accounts where the interest rate is 4.75% or better, or 4.5% if the account has favourable conditions (e.g. you can pay in £500 per month or more, the interest rate is fixed, or if the account matures after at least 2 years).

I have not included regular saver ISA accounts as these have been included in Kazza242's long running Cash ISAs: The Best ISAs Currently Available List.

I have included children's regular savers but I would strongly recommend that you read the section about the tax implications for interest from children's accounts in MSE's article Best Child Savings.

This thread runs parallel to the The Archived History Of Regular Savers Thread *** NO CHAT***, which includes a list of the Ts&Cs to various regular savers, both currently available and withdrawn.

If you notice a regular saver account that meets the criteria for being included on this thread that isn't already listed, you notice an account listed on this thread has just been withdrawn or an interest rate change is announced affecting any of the regular savers on this list then please feel free to post a message on this thread and/or on
The Archived History Of Regular Savers Thread *** NO CHAT*** thread detailing the changes.

If you choose to post information on The Archived History Of Regular Savers Thread *** NO CHAT*** thread, please ensure that you only post the information listed in the above paragraph and nothing else. The no chat thread should NOT be used to discuss regular savers as that is the purpose of this thread.

Alternatively you can write a separate thread and then post a link here if you wish.

Thanks to numerous forum users for their contributions. This is the 5th version of this thread. The first four versions were maintained by @Special_Saver2 (due to technical issues, the thread has had to be re-started three times). The first version was before 2007, the second version lasted from 2007 to 2018, the third version was from 2018 to January 2020, the fourth version was from January 2018 to December 2024.

I have divided up the information here into the following sections:
  1. Regular Savers Open To All  - Regular savers that are not restricted to those under the age of 21, has no postcode/regional restrictions and does not require you to have been an existing member for any length of time. This section does include accounts which require you to hold another current/savings account in order to open it so long as opening the other account immediately makes you eligible for the regular saver. This section has been split over 3 posts due to character limits on the forum.
  2. Local/Loyal/Beta accounts - Regular savers that are not restricted to those under the age of 21 but has postcode/regional restrictions and/or requires you to have been an existing member for any length of time. This section also includes regular savers that have only been offered to selected customers including those which are in their beta phase.
  3. Children's regular savers - Regular savers that are restricted to those under the age of 21
  4. Recently No Longer Available accounts - These are accounts that have been withdrawn recently but which people may be in the process of applying for. When this post becomes long older entries on this list shall be transferred to new posts in the new regular saver thread and a link to these posts shall be included on the first page of The Archived History Of Regular Savers Thread *** NO CHAT***

Unless indicated otherwise, you can only open one of each account.

I have included a summary of the terms and conditions of each account as these can be complicated with regular savings accounts. I would advise you to look at these terms and conditions to check that the account is suitable for you.

Whenever I make any changes to the first page of this thread I shall make a post detailing the changes in The Archived History Of Regular Savers Thread *** NO CHAT***, this includes but is not limited to a new account being added to the lists, an account being removed due to interest rate reductions or being withdrawn, interest rate changes and changes to the thresholds I set for inclusion to the lists.

Updates shall be made as and when it comes to my attention that new accounts have been launched, been withdrawn or have had their interest rates changed so in most cases both this thread and the no chat thread should be updated the day a change is reported in this thread.

If a new regular saver is launched and people wish to make a post in the Archived thread to mention this I have no issues with them doing so whatsoever so long as any discussion surrounding the regular saver is confined to this thread only.

I must stress however that the The Archived History Of Regular Savers Thread *** NO CHAT***  is strictly a NO CHAT thread so please ensure that any discussion surrounding regarding regular savers are confined to THIS THREAD ONLY.
