aha, I see now it was 5pm cutoff, not 6 - and I'm going to need more than hearing support, it's eyesight now!jameseonline said:

- darn it, I thought I was getting away with it quite nicely, this getting older malarkey - but nope; gonna need a bigger font.
EDIT: hubby points out that he did in fact log in before 5pm Friday to find account already closed, it was about twenty to or quarter to 5 as he remembers it, as he would then have been already out before 5 closing up farm gate etc, and says I had been sat logging in as he was on his way outside. So not seeing the maturity option buttons & closures had happened early. Not a terribly awful problem as I was still able to do a withdrawal online yesterday which their screen seemed to accept; not received into bank account yet but it's a bit early morn to fret so I'm sure it will credit later today, and hubby should be able to log in to withdraw his online. 'Closure template' isn't showing for this easy access account though, so we will send messages and hope for best.
We had dithered until last day, waiting for a late showing of a follow-on loyalty saver better than website had been showing, but they never did. They've also closed branch nearer to us (Corby closed), so all that has decided us to close with them.1 -
Principality 2 Year Healthy Habits Saver Bond. By mistake I’ve paid an extra £50 this month.
A total of £1250. It has credited.
My five reg savers 3 and 4 issues SO are all for 7 payments.
On the 5th December If maturity instructions work ok I should have 6 reg savers.

Good grief - just checked and I have been paying in £250 since last June and now £300 .... with no sanctions ...Middle_of_the_Road said:

Three more letters from Principality arrived while we were away over the weekend regarding maturities on December 5th - the never ending dilemma regarding another 6 month issue 4 or a Christmas 12 month ....“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”4 -

It's not letting me log on either, it says it's down for scheduled maintenance:topyam said:Anybody else struggling to get into the Progressive site?
It was due to be unavailable from 6:30am this morning according to the banner on their website so it seems to've gone down earlier than planned:

I hope all these comments of over payments to PBS are not going to wake up the Dragon and we all get burnt!Hattie627 said:
I'm going to refrain from the temptation to overload any of my PBS accounts (have two accounts both maturing on 22 December which are now full in terms of the T and Cs), even if it is an overlooked infraction. I don't want to draw attention to myself because I now have 5 X Issue 4 six month RS's, with another Issue 4 due to be born on 5th December as a rollover from my final Issue 3.janusd said:
I have 2 PBS accounts maturing this month (my last RS3 and a Healthy Habit), so wasn't going to bother funding them - but on the back of the above, I sent two deposits in and both were showing an hour later.jd84 said:Principality
I made a 7th payment into an Issue 3 this morning and it's showing a £1400 balance, so I can confirm that works.
The extra £200 will be kept in the account when it matures to an issue 4 later this month.
Some folks just don't know when to keep one's head down.0 -
It's called looking at the bigger picture.jameseonline said:

Some folks just don't know when to keep one's head down.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.1 -
I totally agree.......flaneurs_lobster said:
It's not so much the risk of an overpayment being returned that stops me making that 7th payment, it's the consequential attention then paid to the other savers....masonic said:
So far, I've got away with this. It's one less thing to keep track of (remembering not to fund in the final calendar month), so I'm happy for them to return the overpayment if they want to.jameseonline said:
It may work initially but I'm sure people have said before they've had it returned before.jd84 said:Principality

Someone mentioned paying in more than £200 recently, I have also tested and not had the overpayment returned. For those who made SO payments to various RS accounts with MonBS in the early hours of yesterday, these have shown in the app within the last hour. It will be tomorrow before they will show on the accounts online (on past experience).3 -
likewise, there is bending the rules and then there is simply taking the mick for the sake of couple of pence interest at the risk of blowing it for every other person simply bending the rules to get more than one of same issue reg saver. I refrain from 7th payments despite most of mine mature at the end of the month, could so easily get that extra months interest in but would rather another six months worth.....Dizzycap said:
