Mansfield
Posted my application with second class stamp last Friday (23rd) along with opening cheque for £500.
Cheque was paid out on Wed (28th) and passbook received by post today (29th), opening date shown as 27th.
From my experience of multiple postal applications for new RS accounts, I would always recommend sending a cheque with postal applications, particularly if time is short to get a first payment in before the end of the month. Those few times where I have waited until the account is opened (and details available) to send an electronic payment have, more often than not, timed out to get a first payment in before month end.

The min opening balance for Dudley is £50. Once they've confirmed that your opening deposit got to the right place and was just the wrong amount, (assuming that's the case) you'll still be able to get your full payment in tomorrow.

I have now launched version 6 of The Top Regular Savers Discussion Thread.
The old version 5 has been renamed to The Old Top Regular Savers Discussion Thread 28/12/24-29/1/26.
The structure of this thread remains unchanged, so as before post 1 is a summary of recent additions to the thread, posts 2-4 cover regular savers open to all, post 5covers Local/Loyal/Beta/Age Restricted/New Member Only accounts, post 6 covers children's regular savers, post 7 is for recently NLA accounts.
The major change is how the listings are presented. Previously they were typed in the forum itself. They have now been converted into the table format and are now copied directly from my master spreadsheet into the forum.
Version 6 of The Top Regular Savers Discussion Thread is now live so feel free to use it.
