So did mine & I hold out absolutely no hope of getting any more 6mth RS or Christmas RS, except when the last one matures or a new issue is released.

It's seems that 2 are acceptable regardless of the T&C's and go through the system ok. Anything above that amount, won't.

It certainly has for me and a number of others, unfortunately. Where one door closes, another opens. Wondering when & if Principality BS will release a new 6 Month RS issue in Feb/March.

i have 3 x Christmas RS. The last 2 were opened on the 21st & 23rd December. I waited until the 2nd one was open before applying for the 3rd. I have a RS 3 maturing on the 9th Feb. I already have 4 x RS4, so not sure whether to chance my luck and apply for another Christmas RS or RS 4 or just withdraw the full amount.

Mansfield BS
Just to confirm the Freepost address posted here for Mansfield BS does work; I've had email confirmation that my application for a My Milestone Saver account has been received and is being processed. Posted on Saturday afternoon (so realistically collected Monday morning) and I had the email confirmation Tuesday afternoon. They say they aim to have it opened within 3 working days. (Strangely the sending email address and the email signature don't match at all!).
On a related point I've also had a bonus-expired Bonus Regular Savings 8th Issue closed and opened a new copy of the account. This required posting an application form and written instructions (as they wouldn't take instructions by Secure Message) but they were happy to use £250 from the 'maturing' account as a deposit, with a cheque for the balance being posted. May be worth it for others wanting to secure the higher rate again.

Thanks for posting, good to know it's still alive and a viable option for application forms, although I'd still hesitate to send a passbook which they'd charge to replace using it.

I had a passbook go missing from Mansfield (They received mine but the return leg didn't get to me). There was no charge for a replacement but it did take ages to sort out.

Aye, I would expect so if it was them who lost it, the point is if you put it in the post using a Freepost address which unbeknownst to you no longer exists… presumably it'd eventually work it's way back to you if it didn't reach them but feels like a risk.

The same risk would surely exist whether you used a freepost address, a postage paid envelope (of any provenance), or a stamped envelope.
To mitigate, you could get a certificate of posting in order to claim for loss.
