Halifax say it's a known IT issue that is being investigated....

I did say that their lack of transparency around the issue is poor and suggested that they inform all affected customers.

Was your reward active throughout December (before the criteria were fulfilled, if it was renewed in December)? If yes, and you're satisfied you met the conditions then you should submit a complaint - which I'm very confident will result in £5 being paid.

Is your reward active now? If yes, and you fulfilled the criteria this month with the reward active, then you can safely ignore the tracker and await payment next month.

If you realise your reward expired in November, then you should renew it now, and repeat the eligibility steps for this month (i.e. transfer £1500 in, 'spend' £500 on your debit card) in order to get a reward in February.

I’ve just received my reward today and not around the 12th which it usually is, I’m guessing this is for qualifying in december.

Remind me do Halifax still do web chat?

If so then I am no too bothered.  Too lazy to phone and chase if I don't get my fivers but I can web chat all day while pretending to work :D

They do, but if you use it I'd suggest just saying you wish to open a complaint rather than actually trying to get assistance on this in the normal way. A complaint will quickly result in a fiver being added, IME.

I noticed the December £5 reward was missing on one of my Reward accounts (due 12th Jan) so followed the advice on this thread to raise an online complaint yesterday:

Checked the account this morning and the missing £5 reward has been been paid.  Result.  :)

I didn't raise an online complaint but also received my £5 missing payment yesterday. So maybe a coincidence but either way we both have it so result.

I'm missing two reward payments - one account has been credited with the reward, but the other two haven't.

I clan clearly see the criteria has been met for all three accounts, but I'm going around in circles when messaging the advisers in the app.

Shall give Halifax a call tomorrow...
Was a reward active on the account *before* the monthly criteria was satisfied?
Yes, for all three accounts the reward expiry is September 2025
I'd encourage you just to open a complaint and let them work it out in that case. Trying to get them to sort it any other way has been at best tiresome in my experience. Complaint gets a fiver very quickly added.
Thanks for recommending that I raise a complaint. I did so and here's an update:

I messaged Halifax once again on the banking app and this time asked them to log it as a complaint.

Within 20 minutes they agreed that I had met the criteria, credited me with the two missing £5 payments, and also £30 in compensation.

I've never made a formal complaint to a bank/BS before this, but satisfied with this outcome and the quick turnaround!
