    Halifax rewards

    What gives me hope that it’s just a glitch is the fact it updated on the 16th but does not acknowledge not only that I have paid out £500 on my debit cards but also has not acknowledged my payments of £1500 into my account which was done the first week of the month. Now I know moving cash with debit card is the question on this thread but they can’t question the fact I have paid my £1500 into my account.

    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    It's even worse now in that it is more or less up to date (mine shows that it last checked on the 16th) but the totals are way off... I've tried messaging them and calling them to find out why it isn't updating properly and no one could answer me.
    As has been suggested already, I'll sit tight and wait and see if the reward hits next month as it should but jeez, sort your tech out Halifax ;)

    Best to just ignore the tracker as payment of the monthly fiver does not depend on the tracker. You get paid if every month £1,500 arrive in your account, and £500 gets spent by debit card. Just make sure this happens as early as possible each month. I do mine every 1st of a month, even if that’s a non-working day. I never look at the tracker and I always receive my fivers.

    Note, there’s a seemingly never ending thread about the same subject on https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81231799/#Comment_81231799

    Same here, pay in recognised but spending hasn't, which was done first week to NS&I and Skipton. However, NS&I seems to take for ages to release the funds so you can withdraw them again. Need to probably mix it up and use YBS. I try to rotate between my 3 accounts where funds go so it is less obvious to detect a pattern.

    Family BS allow you to withdraw your £500 the same day that you pay it in by debit card

    Also make sure the reward is active (and renewed if needed) *before* any monthly criteria have been fulfilled.

    I really wish they'd just retire the tracker at this point because it is so often incorrect.

    I've tried sending a message to Halifax about the tracker and all I got back was, 'You need to ring the rewards tracker team'.

    Pretty sure there is no such thing and a phone call will get you nowhere, except perhaps the advice that if you are confident you have met the criteria and you had an active reward when you did, then you can safely ignore the tracker.
