Interestingly I've just checked mine and I'm missing one reward. 2x accounts have paid out the reward as usual but one hasntSame here, despite £500 of DC spending and more than the required amount in a single deposit.I've just checked and the amount currently listed on the Reward Tracker only covers my payments from 2nd January. These were coincidentally the only transactions where I actually spent money. My next debit card payment (to a savings account) a few days later is not included.0 -

There are a few payments which don’t count for the ‘£5 for £500’ offer:
- When you take cash out of a cash machine, branch or Post Office counter.
- When you transfer money to another account.
Was the second clause always phrased that way?If they've decided such payments don't count, I'll have to reconsider the utility of the account.
My wife and I have qualified (3 times each) both this month and last with a mixture of credit card payments, savings deposits and Revolut top ups. Nothing has changed, just the tracker is (still) almost useless.
The obvious time to change qualifying criteria would be when the reward comes up for renewal; indeed I presumed this was why they'd implemented that but thus far it's been static for almost 5 years now.0 -
Mine hasn't updated for January either - despite me qualifying over 10 days ago.
So I wouldn't worry - if you meet the criteria they will have to cough up.
I use the Vue cinema ticket rewards - I won't be impressed if I miss out on my half price popcorn which for me is worth over £13 a month!0 -

But this month, funds sent as usual to savings accounts elsewhere on the 6th & 10th just haven't been recognised as 'spends. Never had this before.
If it's them enforcing the spending rule, my budget is down £10 a month0 -

If it's them enforcing the spending rule, my budget is down £10 a monthSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

What kind of spending counts towards the offer?

- Just ignore the tracker.
- A "money transfer" is not the same as a debit card transaction, unless you consider any debit card transaction which results in funds being moved from your account to another account - in which case every single debit card transaction is technically 'when you make a money transfer to another account' and meeting the £500 spend is impossible.
- Just ignore the tracker.
- There is no evidence at all that Halifax are changing eligibility nor "clamping down". There is only evidence that the tracker is balls'ed again.
- Just ignore the tracker.
- Sometimes the tracker says that you're not on track, even though you know you are. This does not mean you will not get your reward, as evidenced by when this happened a few months back and the vast majority of rewards were paid on time.
- Just ignore the tracker.
- Sometimes rewards are not paid, regardless of what the tracker said the previous month. There is no pattern to these non-payments in my experience, and a complaint always quickly results in the fiver being manually added (so long as a reward was active and all criteria were met).
- Just ignore the tracker.
- Most importantly - just ignore the tracker!

Whilst acknowledging the previous post, just thought I'd mention that tracker has updated here, as at 15th, confirming criteria met, using an internal transfer to fund, and DC payment to a savings acct.0

Tracker supposedly updated to 15 January but it is recognising only two amounts received on 2 January and none of the later ones which actually bring the total to much more than £1500.
I'm not going to worry - will simply argue if reward not received in February.0
