NST No!vember 2024

Can I be added please? Have decided to aim high (for me) and 10 days.
Had my second NSD of November on Sunday and said “No” to getting dressed 😆 I spent the whole day in my PJs. Haven’t done that for years, now setting myself a goal of one PJ day per month.
I’ll be saying “No” to doom scrolling and “No” to daft late nights (ignoring this one!) for the rest of the month.Big goal is to say “No” to buying more vapes. I’ve dug out my nicotine gum, the awful lozenges, and will try and find the patches I bought last time I tried to quit. Wish I could say “No” to cravings, tetchiness, and increased hunger, but will say “No” to a £60 a month habit and battle through quitting.MBNA 237.47/13997.47

What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash. (L Ellis)13 -
Welcome @nintud and good luck with the new challenges!
So, I am reporting back after a very busy weekend. I am very satisfied, as I have almost completely restored the living room to look like a habitable living room!- I sorted all clothes to be washed in different piles, I have now 2 full laundry bags of Summer clothes which I will slowly be washing in the next couple of weeks before storing them in the boxes for Winter
- I put the clean Summer clothes in the boxes and stored them in the ottoman bed
- I downsized the box of "to be sold" stuff - taking out a few items that had been listed a while ago and had little engagement and brought them to the donation box - I now have much tinier box which can be stored at the bottom of the wardrobe rather than sitting on the bedroom floor
- I decided to list one more item on Vint*d, which sold almost immediately, and I dropped it off already on Saturday at my local locker (I should have probably listed for a higher price, but I'm just glad it's one more thing out of the house
- I emptied my shoe cupboard, where I also store travel bags and hoover with accessories, and reorganised it entirely, so it's much more accessible. While doing so, I also took out 4 pair of shoes in almost mint condition to be donated (also already dropped off)
- Hoovered multiple times
- Reorganised the storage area inside the sofa bed, to fit other season shoes, sofa bed accessories, and a big bag of wool that is not going to be used in any upcoming projects
- Brought the suitcases I used to move all my stuff out of the bedroom back to the garage (once emptied)
- got rid of 10 items that couldn't be saved (I did recycle them when possible)
- donated 33 items from my wardrobe (29 garments and 4 pairs of shoes)
- listed (and sold) 1 item
I am grateful for having finally had time and energy to sort through most things, having sold quite a few things in the last couple of weeks, which will help me pay my bills this month, the Belgian chocolate biscuits I received as a birthday treat a couple of weeks ago, but I opened only yesterday which was great timing!Debt free journey started 30/08/2023:

NSD today 😊 Paid for parking but it was from loose change and was so I could attend physio so I’m not counting it!KajiKita said:No’s for November:
- No! to the previous mortgage company holding onto an excess payment after sending out the redemption statement for the switch.Rung them and it will take up to 10 days, but no issue with them agreeing that they owed us the money 😊
- No! to not knowing how to OP the new mortgage company yet … I have the phone number to contact them about it.Rang these as well today. The set up is not as good as previous provider (no online access to the mortgage account) but if I open a bank / savings account with them I should be able to see the mortgage balance / the effect of any OPs made. Apparently it takes about a month to synch the mortgage and the bank accounts …And the slightly hard ones:
- I’d rather not. be without a job. Keep pushing on with applications, chasing recruiters, attending interviews etc.
Chased two recruiters today - one was a definite no as I came late into the process and the employer was already well down the road with a candidate they liked. Recruiter still wants to work with me though. Second recruiter has two possible roles for me and needs to make some calls on my behalf … he’s not called back today. Guess who I will be calling tomorrow! 😉
- I’d rather not. be overweight. Keep going with tracking calories and exercise in nootracheck and hopefully keep shrinking.Done okay today. Reasonably limited calories and got out in the garden - see below.- I’d rather not. have a messy muddle garden. Keep going with clearing and sorting.Got out in the garden for a couple of hours either side of lunch. Crown lifted the ancient contorted Hazel slightly, weeded a section of patio (stopped after two big tubs of weeds removed) and swept the conservatory steps and paving in front where I had been weeding.KKAs at 15.04.25:
- When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £236,911
- OPs to mortgage = £11,338 Interest saved £5225 to date
Fixed rate 3.85% ends January 2030

Thank you @Shrewbie for saving #18 for me! You must have sensed my hovering presence 😂 I'm a bit late to the party, but definitely count me in! Wishing you well with your studying & exam 🤞
Well done on the NSDs and decluttering everyone!!!
Welcome @Nintud you are number 19!
What a bargain @Betharooni and very happy you bit the bullet @beanielou.
I am still on NSD 2 as needed to pick up coffee today. However due to my meal planning I should not have to go to the shops again until Friday. While I was in L1dl I picked up a packet of turron for that day as it was reduced (will put it in my special that day drawer so I'm not tempted to eat it)
Grateful for coffee and a productive work day back after a week off.

Managed my 3rd NSD today as haven't had to pay OH for the weekly shop yet.
Said No to a friend who asked me if I was going to the Christmas Fair next weekend. I would be too tempted to buy pretty things I don't need!

Well I have nsd#3 under my belt today. Such a busy day at work, I didn’t get chance to spend money. Cooked dinner from home and just put soup in the soup maker for the next 4 days lunches. Super grateful for my soup maker as it means I can put the stuff in the soup maker and carry on with making dinner. Grateful for a heated blanket too as it is meaning I don’t need to have any heating on yet as we can just have the heated blanket on for about an hour a day and that does the job at the moment. Hopefully saving some pennies.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #828
