Focus debt to clear HSBC £0/1111, updated May 258 -
Today is NSD #1 this month. Yesterday we got groceries and I also bought a new laptop at a computer fair-an absolute steal at only £110 and it works so much better and faster than the previous laptop I had, which has practically needed a crank to get it working. We also had an unwanted dining room table and chairs taken by DB3 for one of his friends. Today has been a very quiet day sat reading and knitting as not feeling 100%, tomorrow will be a much busier day so took the opportunity to recharge my energy levels a bit.
I’m grateful for a bargain on my new laptop, getting the unwanted dining table out of the house and being able to have a chilled day today.8 -
BANK SWITCHES
I decided to check that my Bank Package was still relevant. It’s not. I hadn’t noticed (stupidly hadn’t read the letter properly) and Travel Insurance is no longer available. Also, I can get cheaper Recovery deals than the linked AA National Recovery and the 14 days cooling off period is still in place. So that’s a job for tomorrow.
Bills A/c will be switched on Wednesday.

02.11.24 – 1/15 – In 2 minds about this. My only spending all day was to renew my passport. This had to be done. So does it count as spending? Or is it 'begrudgingly parting with money'?!

Today I seem to have said no to leaving the house 🤣🤣🤣I am grateful today for being able to have such a pyjama day, for Pip perking up as the day went on, for pip's friend's bombshell about his first ever visit to A+E not being too awful, for chats with big sis.

Woop woop, go @beanielou! I'm pleased you decided to say yes 😀
Thank you @Shrewbie for saving #18 for me! You must have sensed my hovering presence 😂 I'm a bit late to the party, but definitely count me in! Wishing you well with your studying & exam 🤞
NSD#1
A good day today. Had a little lie in, then went for a walk after breakfast. Did a hand sewing job before dinner.
Read my book whilst eating, then cut more branches into smaller pieces to fit in sacks for the garden waste skip at the recycling centre. Loaded them all & ones from yesterday, into the car (11 in total) & offloaded them. Dropped a birthday present at a friend's house (she wasn't home). After tea, I fixed & altered 4 items of clothing for a customer. Contacted by a new customer (had walked a little bit with her (unknown to me) MIL this morning, as she got exercise on her crutches (had been hit by a car 9 weeks ago)).
Had a long soak in the bath with my book
Grateful for a nice walk (spotted a nice red toadstool), more of the garden getting tidied, DS2 asking for a bike for sproutmas (he's only left the garden once in the last 18 months, so great he's wanting to go further!)
Definitely need to do more decluttering here too. Have taken down the Halloween decs, so that box can go back to the shed tomorrow. Just the rest of the house to do now...Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
