Cute cardi @beanielou
I had a spend day yesterday, but will swerve it today I think, I need a bit of a plan though.
I was due to be going to London on Wednesday but the meeting has been canceled due to tube strikes. Seems like an excessive response to me! I am just irritated as I am going down to Sussex for Dad's Birthday, next weekend, and hoped that work would pay for a lot of the train fare!
I am going to have a big spend tomorrow and get a B&Q shop/delivery as I am going to get going in decorating on the 14th.
Yesterdays gratitudes
- going out for my walk first thing.
- like an ok day at work. A colleague was a bit stressed and seeking support.
- Bacon and avocado sandwich

I just said no to DH who wanted to go out to lunch. I got out the toastie maker, and he got out the waffle maker, toasted sandwich for me and savory waffles for him 😋 £0 spent. ... and it was lush.

OH said no to chips as we drove home from holiday even though I’m ill. Perhaps I shouldn’t have told him that I want to get fitter.🤣

Today was grocery delivery day, so not a no-spend day.
I did start a declutter of my own wardrobe, which is easiest to do since OH and DS are quite attached to their ‘stuff.’ Clearing DS’s often turns into a full-on negotiation—like convincing DS to part with a T-shirt that’s now practically a crop top or football shorts that look more like hot pants! I steer well clear of OH’s things because, over the years, I’ve learned no to go there. 🤣
Out of my wardrobe and into the donate-or-sell bags went two dresses, one of which I’ve had for 12 years, finally letting go as I realise I’ll never wear it again. I bought it in my 20s—a bright blue, sparkly number that doesn’t quite fit my style now as I approach 40. Also into the bag went a T-shirt, a pair of jeans, a zipper, and a jumper I’ve always disliked. It’s made of lambswool, and while it was expensive (for me), it itches like mad, so I’ve held onto it for about 12 years purely out of guilt!
Grateful today for clearing clutter from the house, tackling the laundry pile, and spending time with family.

Go for it @beanielou, it is very sweet / clever design and as others have said it’s not a Christmas jumper per se, more of a winter jumper 😊
No progress on any of the no’s including shrinking … no weight lost since this time last week but I am in my posh, new, quite tight, jeans ready to go out tonight and they aren’t as tight as usual so I will take that as a win! 😉
Hope to start on the recipe books tomorrow….! 🤞
