Plans for No!vember:
- Aiming for minimum 12 NSDs (hoping for more but 12 should definitely be achievable.
- With stuff everywhere in the house, I will be trying for a massive decluttering push in November. I managed to get rid of a few bits in October but will really go for it this coming month.
- House needs a good scrub as well so will see what I can do of that.
- Budgets set and money ready, just need to sort out what DB1 owes me and get him to send that over and I should be set.
- I’m going to aim for no random purchases at convention I’m attending this month-I don’t need anything so would prefer to make this con as low cost as possible.
- Additionally I need to sort out getting paperwork together and to probate solicitors to get that in progress, I need to provide ID elsewhere as well to mortgage adviser.
- I’d like to collate a list of what needs doing in the house (general tasks and more complex ones) so I can save up or work on those tasks. I am incredibly overwhelmed by everything at the moment so getting things down on paper might help.
- I need to do some major work at my allotment this month to prepare for winter and next year.
- I also need to do some smaller bits in my garden at home to prepare that for winter and next year.
Seems like plenty to be getting on with…8 -
No’s for November:
- No! to excess recipe books! There’s a good chance I could turn these into cash - if so these will become a mix of OP and savings.
- No! to the previous mortgage company holding onto an excess payment after sending out the redemption statement for the switch. I need to leave it a couple of days and then ring them and confirm how they are sending me these monies. Initially these will be used to refill the joint household savings account (taken a battering of late) and then OP 😊
- No! to not knowing how to OP the new mortgage company yet … I have the phone number to contact them about this. Just need to get it done.
- No! to not having a will … I have a block here in that Mr KK wants to leave a chunk to a couple of charities but I have read that they can be an absolute menace about chasing for what they see as their money after the person’s death … I guess the first step will be to see if there is a wills board where I can discuss this … 🤔
And the slightly hard ones:
- I’d rather not. be without a job. Keep pushing on with applications, chasing recruiters, attending interviews etc.
- I’d rather not. be overweight. Keep going with tracking calories and exercise in nootracheck and hopefully keep shrinking.- I’d rather not. have a messy muddle garden. Keep going with clearing and sorting. That’ll do! 😊
KKAs at 15.07.25:
- When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £233,521
- OPs to mortgage = £11,338 Interest saved £5225 to date
Fixed rate 3.85% ends January 2030
Read 38 books of target 52 in 2025, as @ 27th July

Morning all, here are my intentions.
Decluttering the mental space:
1. I am finishing a course this month. It has been really a mental slog, just due the the time needed to watch the content, and writing 12,000 words. Not hard, but it has dominated the last 5 months!
2. I am decluttering uncertainty about work, because I will be ok. It doesn't need so much attention. Frankly, I don't give a f**k.
Decluttering the physical space:
Get rid - identify ten things that you can declutter and/or sell - i don't have too much stuff at the moment bt the shed is a disaster. So I need to sort that!
Implement 5 min tidying bursts - you decide how many you do per day/week - LOVE this
Goals and positive changes...I am saying no to not putting myself first.- I am easing into a Whole30 - starting properly on the 12th of November. I am definitely eating something that is making me feel off, and I need to isolate it.
- Walking at least 1 mile a day - come rain or shine.
- I am going to start decorating - make my environment more my own.
NSDs - I am going to go for 15.

And we're off! Happy November everyone.
Here are my plans:
Mental decluttering
- No to events. I have one outing planned in November (a piano concert) and everything else I will be saying no to. I have an exam coming up and I would like to prioritise that. I don’t particularly want to be antisocial but I have realised that I need to hibernate for a bit. I need to calm the noise.
- No to unnecessary spending. I am going to properly meal plan this month and I have reduced the food budget quite heavily. Let's see how that works out.
- No social media (apart from MSE of course) I did this throughout October and it worked well. I will introduce it back in after my exam.
- No TV/series watching unless I'm watching a film with my housemates. No solo binge watching.
- No booze until after my exam. It does focus the mind.
Physical decluttering
List at least 10 things on Vinted
Goals and positive changes
- I'm going for 15 NSDs but I will push for more. Lots of inspiration from turtles on this one... I'm looking at you @beanielou!
- Apart from being able to study for the exam, I'm hoping all the no-ing will give me some space to work on myself, to meditate, read and time to think.
