Yesterday was a NSD, today not as I needed to buy vegetables. That is all that I bought - potatoes, peppers and mushrooms. We were away for a few days from last weekend till Wednesday and I had purposely run stores down, and took what was left with me, as we were self catering. Came back, and yes, there is food, but limited veggies and no potatoes, so needed to be done.I am really hopeless at remembering NSDs but I will try harder this month. It was work today, and DD2 sent round roast pork and rolls left over from her Halloween party so that was dinner sorted, with a bit of HM coleslaw on the side.A couple of 'musts'. I must check the banks tonight. And I must pay my tax bill at some point over the weekend. I have been putting this off, not because I can't pay it, or I think it excessive (at risk of being controversial, my view is that we must pay our taxes if we want public services) - but because it is a bit of a faff. The HMRC website isn't the easiest. No excuse!I must also list some items on ebay, some mine and some for my small business. I have been putting this off too. Maybe next week. So, more 'musts' than 'nos'
but I will report back when I have done them

Up in the shire of Oxford for a couple of days visiting Canadian replies. I spent time with them last month in Málaga but dh and Pip didn't. We stayed over in their Airbnb last night (fabuloso barn conversion) and are in what is basically a large-ish shed tonight 🤣🤣🤣. Stepdd1's two best friends plus their families are visiting for the weekend. Add to that the in-laws and you have 8 adults and 4 kids- 12, 7, 4, 6 months. Not including us. Too many for us apple household to cope with!!!We're enjoying a couple of hours of silence before heading back to them all to watch some local fireworks. We discovered the local annual three-day craft fair was on, so I got 6 of us tickets. It was lovely to wander round, and we did buy some items, mostly for other people. So, not an nsd, but a lovely day.Today I am grateful for the craft fair, for time with family, for not having to drive in the thick fog like last night.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!9

Started the month with a NO spend day 😊
I have had a text that suggests that the funds have moved across to pay off the @ccord mortgage. This should mean that on Monday I can chase down the additional mortgage payment that went through thanks to awkward timing 😊
Not heard anything from any recruiters today. I think half term has meant most of them are either on holiday or their contacts at potential employers are 😊 Lots of chasing to do next week but at least I can stop being quite so surgically attached to my phone now that the weekend has begun 😊
KKAs at 15.04.25:
- When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £236,911
- OPs to mortgage = £11,338 Interest saved £5225 to date
Fixed rate 3.85% ends January 2030

oh beanie, it's so cute. Penguins can be for all winter (autumn too) so not a garish monstrosity that can only be worn for one or two days and brings you out in a rash.
Go for it - £1.50 a day credit for all those NSDs will cover it - if you had shopped on each of those days, you would have spent more than £1.50. I asked what it was like because, as someone who finds it hard to justify spending on myself, I have to stack up reasons for buying.

Ready for a ruthless NO!vember…
…apart from today cause I was at a charity quiz night and bought lots of raffle tickets.
This month I definitely want to declutter and will be aiming for more than 10 items… more like 30.I’ll aim for 12 NSDs as this would be a success for me!I will practice saying ‘no’ and try it out… I’m very much a yes person (aka people pleaser).NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸7 -
Evening all,
Sadly no NSD today - almost but not quite…didn’t spend all day then remembered that I’d promised to purchase some tickets for a friend and I for something next year which usually sells pretty quickly so had to get it today. Disappointing, but something to look forward to with my friend so very happy to say ‘yes’ to that.
Thankful for spending time with DB2, DSIL2 and 2 of my nieces this evening, remembering to get the tickets for my friend and I, and time spent relaxing and knitting using the day.
