Hey @enthusiasticsaver and @Suffolk_lass
Could my total for the year be confirmed as £12850 please?
In my post dated 2nd December (on page 64) I declared £850 for December with the possibility of more before the end of the month. And then, a few posts above, I declared a further £1000. Totalling £1850 for December please.
Many thanks

Hi @Suffolk_lass I think you already know that I would like to rejoin the challenge and thank you for taking over setting up the spreadsheet for 2026. I am still happy to help with updating if you give me editing rights to the new spreadsheet. I am happy with #1 as now or you can demote me to #2 if you wish
.
Congratulations to all who have finished so far and less than two weeks left of the year. I thought it might be nice to share hints and tips of things that have encouraged us all to save over £543k collectively over the year and the savings/investment vehicles we use to store our hard earned cash.
Personally the things that I do to build up savings are
1 Budget and move money over to savings at the beginning of the month when I work out my monthly forecast
2 Use regular savers and my cash ISA as they usually offer better interest rates and I am less inclined to withdraw from there.
3 Be more selective about things I buy not only from an environmental standpoint but also financial.
4 Set a savings goal which is usually a trip which is where most of our disposable income goes.
The savings and investment vehicles I use are
Cash ISA
Regular Savers
Instant access saver
We have an investment ISA but are drawing down from that as we are in our retirement phase so I do not add to that.
Feel free to share any comments/suggestions or things you have found difficult about saving this year. I know that for many job losses, the cost of living crisis and other wider economical issues make saving difficult for many.
Happy Christmas to all and hope 2026 is kind to you.

I am good to take any number next year 👍Suffolk_lass said:
It depends on @1stTimer who has had that number this year. I hope they are happy to rejoin and move (to a lower) number. I can see why you want it.Suffolk_lass said:
Yes, I can try to do that!Sandyra said:please could I join for 2026 and have the same number to match my MFW one which is #32 if possible.
thank you
My thinking is that @Cassingtonbear (not seen on the forum since early October) might not be joining in so @Kim_13 would move there leaving a gap at 12 for a rejoinerSave £12k in 2025 #32Make £2025 in 2025 #28

Very happy with that! I will take what I am given because otherwise you'll receive a breakdown of numbers I do and do not like, which is based on nothing but a slightly unhinged personality!Suffolk_lass said:Sorry @jeordiejon and @Hellesbelles I think I was having a moment.
