I would very much like to move you up the list from #50 @t2rry. Just waiting to see if @geordiejon comes back (not updated last month) or maybe @Hellesbelles updates but both have low numbers and if they are MIA either is a possibilityt2rry said:
Does going into my third year make me a regular!? I don't mind switching numbers, though I have enjoyed a nice round one this year!Suffolk_lass said:I've started a draft spreadsheet, so I have moved up all the people who have posted to here. I've filled the top range of "holes" and I am down to some regulars who haven't commented yet.
Whilst I've been pretty consistent (and just above target) the last couple of years, 2026 will see a big shake up to our finances as we're taking on some additional mortgage, which is totally manageable (touch wood) but may reduce my ability to foresee what we can save through the year against new budgets. It will be an interesting one to look back on this time next year for sure!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I finished the year at £2880.99/£3000 or 96.03% of my annual spend so I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026

It depends on @1stTimer who has had that number this year. I hope they are happy to rejoin and move (to a lower) number. I can see why you want it.Suffolk_lass said:

thank you
My thinking is that @Cassingtonbear (not seen on the forum since early October) might not be joining in so @Kim_13 would move there leaving a gap at 12 for a rejoinerSave £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here

#27 Topscooby £1000 for December please.
My final update for December and the year. Slightly surpassed my target for the year so very happy with that.Looking forward to fresh goals for next year , especially as #6 this time. I know it’s purely psychological, but the move to #6 will spur me on as an incentive to do well as number six has always been my ‘lucky number’, and, being an even number, it satisfies my numerical dyslexia and subsequent ocd anxiety 😟
Well done @enthusiasticsaver and @Suffolk_lass for administering this challenge so successfully. I know many people have expressed their gratitude for both of your continued efforts but reading this thread really has inspired me to ensure my savings goals are realistic and achievable with suitable determination…something you both promote so well and in such a friendly manner…congratulations to you both
Keep up the good work everyone, and I look forward to joining many of you savers again for next year’s challenge.
Literally, onwards and (fingers crossed) upwards.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
