    We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you of an important development regarding WeSwap as the provider of mobile app technology and associated administration services.

    After careful consideration, the management team have made the difficult decision to cease administrative operations in relation to the distribution of the travel money program and mobile app effective 8th October. This is following the failure of Manigo, the technology service provider.

    Whilst we have worked behind the scenes to provide support to our partners for the continuity of its payment’s services, this decision has not been made lightly. In putting consumers at the heart of our activities we remain committed to ensuring a smooth exit for all WeSwap mobile app and card holders.

    We want to reassure customers that all customer funds are safe, and we apologise for any inconvenience experienced by our decision. Please note that WeSwap does not receive, hold, transfer or come into possession of any funds.

    Any customer wishing to withdraw funds can do so by contacting our card issuer Monavate at info@monavate.com or visiting https://www.monavate.com/refund and they will be happy to process a refund. Our app support team will remain available until 29th November to assist with any queries or concerns, via email on support@weswap.com

    For additional support or queries around transactions please contact Monovate on  info@monavate.com.

    We are committed to protecting your data privacy throughout this process. All personnel data will be handled in compliance with GDPR requirements and will be securely deleted from our systems by 6th December.

    This has no material effect. As already established, WeSwap were the front-facing component of a multi-component business. All this message is saying is that WeSwap have decided that they can't operate anymore since one of the other components has ceased trading. Crucially, the component that holds our money still has it, and are (slowly!) arranging refunds.

    A few posts have appeared from WeSwap customers on Trustpilot over the last 24hrs, saying that they have received their refunds.

    I, too have received 2 email ID requests from Monavate, on different days. I sent the appropriate information & still waiting for my refund ! I'm beginning to doubt, whether the refund will happen 🤔
  • I asked directly what my balance is as I do not know if I have anything with them - and was asked to still complete the refund forms and send KYC stuff and just show n/a in the amount box. Watch this space. 
  • It’s gone quiet here but my experience is that Monovate are proving questionable as now uncontactable by phone, do not respond to emails and I haven't had any money back whatsoever

    Few weeks ago I noticed the WeSwap app was not working, I could not login to see or withdraw my money.

    I tried looking around then I realised their service has stopped, great....

    But they have not contacted me about refunding my money.

    I emailed them with no replies.

    Their site forwards you to Monovate.

    I completed the refund request form on Monovates website and got no reply.

    I tried to call them and cant get through.

    How do I get my money back, surely they would have been regulated by someone?
