  • Finally got a full refund 😃 So glad that this stressful experience is finally over. Hope everyone else gets theirs too .
  • It's ironic that in previous posts I've been trying to be the cool head, being positive about our money being safe and saying that we just need to be patient and Monavate will deliver. Well, it seems that everyone is now being paid, except me! I've been told I'd get repaid 'within a week' then 'within a few working days' and then 'within 48 hours' and now been told that it's definitely been processed, so to get back in touch if the money hasn't arrived. I have now given up being diplomatic and started saying it as it is and asking them not to fob me off with lies and threatening to involve the FCA and Action Fraud. I'm glad people are getting their money back and I'll hopefully get there soon.
  • I finally received my refund this afternoon. I made a bit of a nuisance of myself with multiple emails and the suggestion that I would be visiting their office. A shame that it took this to finally get my money back, but there you go. Good luck to others who are still waiting.

Anyone still waiting, apart from me? I've send my details several times but not so much as an acknowledgement. Don't really know what to do next.

You need to keep 'badgering' them with threats to report them to Ombudsman & FCA. A weekly email, at least. Don't get complacent, they will think you've given up. It's your money , unfortunately you'll need to fight to get it back. Good luck.

I received Monavate's email 18th September 2024 and immediately requested my money refund. Knowing the exact amount I naively believed their promises but of course they have not replied so after many retries we now need help please. . .

Finally got email from Monavate confirming refund after I had threatened involving ombudsman and FCA.

But here is my reply ...

    Thank you,

The refund is finally in my bank account.

This is more a point of principle than anything else:

I don't understand how you can justify charging a £2.50 fee for the refund.

Here is advice cut and pasted from WeSwap themselves...

WeSwap partners – Help | WeSwap

    How secure are my funds?

The funds held at Monavate account linked to your WeSwap Prepaid Mastercard are stored in a secure safeguarded bank account that is independent to Monavate’s business accounts.

The funds are safeguarded   and If anything should happen to either WeSwap or Monavate all your funds would be repaid in full.

It isn't the fault of the customer that the service has failed.

How can you justify not repaying all of the funds in full for every customer?

    regards

    Simon

I've not received my refund despite getting an acknowledgement from Monavate in October. Wondering if anyone could share how to best contact them to chase as I don't seem to be getting g any contact from them at all.

I emailed them several times info@monavate.com I threatened to report them to the Ombudsman and the FCA. You need to 'badger' them, e-mailing at least weekly. It's your money, unfortunately you'll need to fight for it. Good luck
