If you use unravelit.com you can tell it to quote for single rate or E7 rates when it asks you which type of meter you have. Most sites look up your meter automatically and won't quote for the other type.1

That's quite annoying though, because it is sometimes handy to switch between E7 and single rate. I've done so a few times over the years.WiserMiser said:If you use unravelit.com you can tell it to quote for single rate or E7 rates when it asks you which type of meter you have. that could be it .. my (smart) meter is not running 2 registers, just hh data for billing, so the quote doesn't offer me any TOU tariffs, not even e7.0

So I had to submit a meter reading to BG. My economy 7 just showed zeros (which surprised me) . Does this mean that my electric meter no longer runs economy 7 then?0

Make sure it's displaying kWh (bucketfuls of energy) not plain kW (power snapshot right now).s71hj said:So I had to submit a meter reading to BG. My economy 7 just showed zeros (which surprised me) . Does this mean that my electric meter no longer runs economy 7 then?0 -
If you made a deliberately untrue declaration when signing up, I'm pretty sure they'd be entitled to void the whole deal, credit any bills and rebill at SVT.theoldmiser said
If they DO ask for proof and you don't have any, what are they going to do?1 -

Does this mean that my electric meter no longer runs economy 7 then?I'm still on an E7 profile at Octopus, but since joining Agile only my first register increments. Conversely, in the past I was on Go and both registers were used. So for TOU, it seems YMMV. I don't know what TE did because I was not on E7 during the time I was with them.A zero reading is still quite suspicious though, as it implies your meter has never recorded off-peak usage (or coincidentally stopped just as this register rolled over to zero from 999999).0

My E7 configured smart meter worked with TE same way as with Agile, recorded all usage to first register leaving the second untouched. When I left TE for Octopus it picked up few kWh while I was on E7 and then stopped when I moved to Agile.1
