    it does make you wonder
That is a very bad sign. I would not assume it is voluntary.

    I agree.

We are thinking of leaving with a property we rent out. It was our toe in the water test with Tomato.

    a message from their CEO
    Do we believe him?
Of is this just PR spin for Elexon (or someone else) stopping them from taking on more customers?
Have there been any announcements from any of the industry bodies?

Nothing that I could find just yet, but perhaps some news will appear over the next few days. "Current news" was a good source of prior restrictions.

That's the million dollar question, do we believe him?

With all the £40-80 they owe the failed transferres as well as all the smets1 meters they have not been billing. Added to the Ofgem and Elexon notices....I think we all have to er on the side of "somethinks up"

Time to visit the Elexon site

Choosing 'to pause our growth' is some tremendous  corpoballs.

I think I hear Jim Morrison warming up...

If I signed up last week but I'm one of the many whose switch failed and am on 'the spreadsheet', presumably that'll still happen?

I got an email with the contract and everything

Are you asking because you want to wade in at this juncture?
If they have been prevented from taking on new customers, then it will probably not happen. If you don't want it to happen, then you will be able to raise an objection with your existing provider if it does start to happen.

Oh I absolutely want it to happen - at least for however long Tomato has left. It's by far the cheapest and my flat is all electric.

I'm hoping because I'm technically registered then there's a chance. And even if it doesn't I imagine I'll be able to get the 2x£40 compensation for a delayed switch
