My switch from Octoplus to TE Lifestyle happened today. Nothing showing in MyWatts yet. Octoplus said final bill will be generated in 48 to 96 hours. I tried to call TE but 30 mins later I hung up. It looks like its very hard to talk to them which is a bad sign as most I had to wait for Octopus is 10 mins.
They are going to the trouble of phoning each new recruit a couple of weeks after joining to check everything is ok. My suggestion is to be prepared and make best use of it, as you'll struggle to get through to them.
Time will tell whether Octopus will be able to generate a final bill in mere days. But there is a first time for everything. Most of us have been treated to a £40 compensation payment for not receiving the final bill within 6 weeks.

    ah right.
I owe them £60 so they will try and get it fast I suspect haha we will see

Their standard practice is to issue a bill for the period up to the day before you switch (with final bill for last day to follow... much later in most cases). So they will be able to get most of that £60. Check your meter readings in the app. You'll probably see they took a reading 1 day before the switch.

I had my first bill today for 33 days supply. It's spot on for TOU.

Double checked the CSV file data from myWatts - matches Bright App data & my own records.

    111.58kWh total - TE bill £36.01
Staying with Octopus it would have been £48.22 (Flexible Octopus)

Really pleased I switched. I've always been a relatively low energy user, so to have a TOU tariff has really helped me to cut my bills.

I am into week 4 since my switch to TE from Octopus, and Octopus billed me up to 1 day shy of my swich day, so as of now i have not recived my final bill which will be for 1 day, and until i do so i also cannot get the 230 quid credit from my Octo account............some might say convenient for Octopus, right?
People are reporting on T.E Facebook group getting final bill for that 1 day billed at much higher usage than should be,

Contrast to Scottish Power switch out, day after switch completed issued final bill based on smart meter readings they took at midnight leading up to last day with them. they may or may not issue amended final bill ( No gas used/ 3 units of electricity) credit refund not being delayed.

^^Yeap, and i am get the feeling octo are being somewhat deliberately obtuse when it comes to consumers moving away, hell i would even go as far as to say octo might be going out of their way to make people leaving them to go to TE, somewhat more of a issue than it needs be, adding to TE issues in the hopes we all go running back, but i can assure octo that i will think twice about going back to them if TE do under at this point after they seem to be dragging their feet with my final bill and credit refund, which i cannot get my head round that some at octo issued me a bill for 1 day short of my switch date, meaning i cannot get my credit refunded, someone at octo did this.

And i remember my move to Octo from SG, all doine on the day, and my final bill and credit all done withing 10 days of leaving them, and i am now into my 4th week and still nothing from Octo and AI email responses.

(Little update, just as i finished typing that post and noticed that i got my first bill from TE, just under £18 for  23 days, and that was using 85.30kwh, 55.00kwh was for the oil radator through the night at 5p.......amazing, bill break down works out at £8.42 for lekky use and £8.16 standing charge for 23 days.

Now as a comparision my Dec 22 to Jan 22 Octo agile bill was £32 for 78kwh, yes that is not a type, 78kwh for the month, sitting for a month through xmas freezzing due to pricing going insane and no wind, that bill worked out at £13.28 for lekky use and £17.71 for standing charge..........now granted the TE bill was for 23 days and the Agile was for 31 days, but you can see that TE would still be cheaper and was indeed the right move for me..........so yeah, what a difference in that standing charge alone..............and very happy to get a bill after reading that some are not getting any............oh and that also means my meter readings are correct on switch, so another issues i sesm to have dodged, i may put a lottery tickect on this week. lol

Right TE, you need to hang around now, you hear me. ;)

My Electricity switch from Octopus was to Scottish Power, 6 weeks after switch out date, afternoon of following day 7th January I noticed electricity readings being applied to my balance history backdated to 9 December, final bill issued same afternoon.

Being as I was in contact with Octopus via X I mentioned a couple of times about final bill not being sent within 6 weeks of switch out date. Response  " Thanks for providing a breakdown of the dates"  :D

Guaranteed Standards Performance Compensation was quickly added following complaint.  B)

After I had issues with Octopus leaving meter readings being wrong which turned out to be Tomato reading given to Octopus I eventually got the last bill sorted.

I got my 1st bill from Tomato and it was spot on and cheaper than Octopus Tracker.

As for the meter readings on 1/03 it was more than the actual smart meter. Another read was added by Tomato on 2/03 which was double what I used for 1 day so I put in the actual meter reading into Mywatts and today there is another reading which is 51 units more than the actual correct meter is displaying.

I know they don't use the readings as I am on a TOU tariff but if things go belly up then the readings will be all over the place.

I think they are adding consumption to the original change of supply reading rather than taking readings. Count yourself lucky, mine is over 2000 units too high. None of this matters until you come to change supplier again.
