I've been with Virgin for a while, having issues with their online form not allowing me to allow and proceed with my 3 year address history.

The phone number given at the bottom of the website page is for current account team & depending on who you speak to they may or may not be able to help with regular saver questions, if not you can either ring or get put through to savings team or sales.

Promised call back last week, never got one.

Rang up today, registered a complaint, got told sales team might be able to manually open a regular saver.

Also got told this isn't only account Virgin has had the address history problem with.

Sales team managed to open the account, showed up in app before I ended the call😊

Around 30 mins total call with 2 people.

If it helps the phone numbers I have are:
    0800 678 3654 (Current Account)
    0800 028 4836 (Savings)
    0800 678 3350 (Sales)

Just managed to fund it, Bank Of Scotland Regular into Bank Of Scotland Current into Virgin Money Current & into Virgin Money Regular 😊, basically my 5.5% BOS & Halifax accounts are getting rinsed this month leaving me with my minimum at 5.75% for regulars, which will be a YBS loyalty I think

I think most are opening the M Plus Account, but you could open the basic M Account, as you say it doesn't really make much difference.
    Know what you don't

Also noticed MSE have updated the Regular Savings page to include the Virgin Money Regular along with 7% Progressive:

  • Applied and was sent for further assessment. Got an email telling me to log in for an update and just get a spinning logo as it looks for my application. Good job Virgin Money.

Thankyou for this. Just signed up wasn't aware before the post
It's been in the main Regular Savings thread for a few days, but good to have it's own one now!
Opened a current and saver as a brand new customer in less than 5 minutes. Simples!
You mean I could have opened one in July and funded it again on 1st August? That's really annoying because I'm already a customer and they've made no effort to inform me of this account. On the app, it took several minutes of searching to find it even mentioned, and then they direct you away from the App because you can't apply for it through it! I now find I cannot access my accounts through the browser because I don't know my customer number . They say it is in the welcoming email but it simply isn't. I think they only want this rate going to new customers whilst claiming existing customers are being treated the same.

I think the first mention of this new regular saver was in @Kazza242 's post on the Regular Savings Accounts: The Best Currently Available List thread on 1 August. After reading that I was able to open and fund it as an existing Virgin current account customer within minutes.
