Am I missing something, or have Skipton decided to leave the rates on their Regular Savers alone whilst cutting everything else by 0.25% or thereabouts?
The recent 7.5% and 7% regular savers that Skipton have offered pay a fixed rate of interest so these rates can't be changed until the end of their terms.

The Home Deposit Saver at 5.06% was only launched recently, so I'm assuming they may have taken into account a possible interest rate cut when setting the rate.

The 7% Member Regular Saver at 7% is still available though... for now.

Looks like Virgin are thinking about doing a regular saver soon, but might be limited to customers who opened a current account before a certain date

Thank you. I was thinking about switching away, but will hang on for now

And an extra special thank you @pokemaster, a way better rate than expected

Thank you @Bridlington1 - I took your advice about not funding the Home Deposit Saver (until just now) to extend the maturity date, so hopefully that account will prove to be a longer term winner.

    Nationwide Flex RS 2 NLA
If you examine Flex RS 3 it has a minimum balance of £1 and a maximum balance of £5 million. This is because the regular saver morphs into an instant access account. Thus, it allows a 13th payment of £200 giving a grand total of £2600 in the 13th month. Flex RS 2 is a similar account with similar conditions but only 6.5% interest.
I reiterate that adding a 13th payment only gives about £1 extra interest at 8%, so I rarely contribute a 13th payment.
Note that the interest for either account is variable, in light of today's change in the BoE rate.

I had forgotten just how bad Virgin's IT is, and why I closed my accounts with them.

I've spent about two hours trying to set up and fund their new RS.

Had problems setting up because it created a new user profile, and I couldn't apply with the old one.

Same email address for both profiles was causing issues.

Finally opened the current account and the new regular saver, but unable to fund the accounts as they are not live on whatever database the Faster Payments systems reference.  Tried to fund from Chase, Barclays, NatWest, Santander, and Lloyds.

The interest rate may be fantastic, but honestly, the additional interest is not worth two hours of my time.
I thought the complete opposite to you about VM and their IT system, as I opened a current acc and RS with them and funded the RS all within 15-20 mins.

    Virgin Money RS
I spent a bit too long fighting both the website and the app with my previous login details, having closed all of my accounts a while back. Then tried applying as a new customer in the app, but got directed to log in. Finally I went back to a web browser and was pleasantly surprised I could apply as a new customer set up all of the security and open + fund the RS without issue. This might be useful to anyone else thinking of resurrecting an old customer number.

Hmm my beehive RS matured today, I have to either leave £10 to keep it open or close the account to get all the cash. Any recommendation? Are people keeping it in case a good existing deal comes out?

I've left the £10 in as it seemed to be the quickest option. Can always close it later.
    RE Beehive RS

Have you received your money already? I went with close but it said it take 1-2 working days😞
Not yet but I had an email saying the following.
We’re sorting that for you now, and the funds should be in your nominated bank account by the end of the next working day if requested before 4pm. Until then, it will show as a pending transaction in the app.

Sorry for the slow reply been out most of the day. Just about to set up my Virgin RS though.

It only shows pending for a short time. Mine has completed but funds not received yet. As per the above, hopefully tomorrow.

Might use the renewal technique to close/reopen my Club Lloyds Reg because rates are on their way down and I need the funds.

Edit: just did it. Took less than 5 mins.
