Virgin Money Exclusive Regular Saver
Many thanks to whoever first posted about this.
Opened and funded.
Probably the most exciting day for Regular Saver fans for at least a decade.
Funny how it has come on the day that the base rate dropped for the first time since March 2020.7 -
Should be possible, not sure if you'll get much extra interest but if you have the funds you may as well.ForumUser7 said:Anyone know if we can make a 13th deposit into the Nationwide Flex RS 2 please? Terms don't seem to forbid it, but balance illustration after 12 months seems to use £2,400. Thanks
I funded mine today with £200 and now at £2400, mine seems to end on 21st September so will probably fund again on 1st September if I have the funds1 -
I've had such a lovely day updating my spreadsheet with my Beehive and T&C regular savers maturing, moving money around and opening the Virgin RS to top things offHattie627 said:Virgin Money Exclusive Regular Saver

Not much work has been done unfortunately .... 7 -
I agree, let's hope it prompts a few other banks to launch some new Regular Savers with impressive rates (probably won't, but we can dream!).Hattie627 said:Virgin Money Exclusive Regular Saver

Virgin Money Exclusive Regular Saver
Switched my Virgin current account to Nationwide for the switch bonus on 2/7/24. Have reopened a Virgin Current Account today just a month later 😂 along with the Regular Saver and funded it, all went without a hitch 😁4 -
Virgin Regular Saver
Thank you for posting this, happily opened and funded!2 -
Wife currently in Hong Kong but she managed to open a Virgin current a/c and fund the 10% Reg saver all online within 20mins!0

Am I missing something, or have Skipton decided to leave the rates on their Regular Savers alone whilst cutting everything else by 0.25% or thereabouts?

I had forgotten just how bad Virgin's IT is, and why I closed my accounts with them.
I've spent about two hours trying to set up and fund their new RS.
Had problems setting up because it created a new user profile, and I couldn't apply with the old one.
Same email address for both profiles was causing issues.
Finally opened the current account and the new regular saver, but unable to fund the accounts as they are not live on whatever database the Faster Payments systems reference. Tried to fund from Chase, Barclays, NatWest, Santander, and Lloyds.
The interest rate may be fantastic, but honestly, the additional interest is not worth two hours of my time.2 -
The recent 7.5% and 7% regular savers that Skipton have offered pay a fixed rate of interest so these rates can't be changed until the end of their terms.CuparLad said:Am I missing something, or have Skipton decided to leave the rates on their Regular Savers alone whilst cutting everything else by 0.25% or thereabouts?
The Home Deposit Saver at 5.06% was only launched recently, so I'm assuming they may have taken into account a possible interest rate cut when setting the rate.
The 7% Member Regular Saver at 7% is still available though... for now.4
