Impressed with Tipton. My RS matured yesterday, my maturity instructions were to close the account and pay the balance to my current account at Santander. Money was there when I logged in at 7am this morning :)
The account was closed and transferred to me in the middle of the night, but my slight annoyance is that there are no statements (unless something is due in the post?) and the account has now vanished from the app, which somewhat stuffs up my interest spreadsheet. I've deducted the 13 x £500 deposits and the £49-odd interest that I luckily noted from last year so with the remainder it should tally up with an extra £167.95 interest this financial year
Hardly difficult to work out the exact interest, as you have proven 😎

It is also hardly unique that you no longer have online/app access to closed accounts.

A closing statement might well arrive in the Post in the next few days. If it doesn’t, and you must hava a closing statement, I am sure you can request one.

Anyone know if we can make a 13th deposit into the Nationwide Flex RS 2 please? Terms don't seem to forbid it, but balance illustration after 12 months seems to use £2,400. Thanks
Should be possible, not sure if you'll get much extra interest but if you have the funds you may as well.

I funded mine today with £200 and now at £2400, mine seems to end on 21st September so will probably fund again on 1st September if I have the funds

    Virgin Money Exclusive Regular Saver

Many thanks to whoever first posted about this.

    Opened and funded.

Probably the most exciting day for Regular Saver fans for at least a decade.

Funny how it has come on the day that the base rate dropped for the first time since March 2020.
I agree, let's hope it prompts a few other banks to launch some new Regular Savers with impressive rates (probably won't, but we can dream!).

Switched my Virgin current account to Nationwide for the switch bonus on 2/7/24. Have reopened a Virgin Current Account today just a month later 😂 along with the Regular Saver and funded it, all went without a hitch 😁

Wife currently in Hong Kong but she managed to open a Virgin current a/c and fund the 10% Reg saver all online within 20mins!

Am I missing something, or have Skipton decided to leave the rates on their Regular Savers alone whilst cutting everything else by 0.25% or thereabouts?

I had forgotten just how bad Virgin's IT is, and why I closed my accounts with them.

I've spent about two hours trying to set up and fund their new RS.

Had problems setting up because it created a new user profile, and I couldn't apply with the old one.

Same email address for both profiles was causing issues.

Finally opened the current account and the new regular saver, but unable to fund the accounts as they are not live on whatever database the Faster Payments systems reference.  Tried to fund from Chase, Barclays, NatWest, Santander, and Lloyds.

The interest rate may be fantastic, but honestly, the additional interest is not worth two hours of my time.
