Progressive Rainy Day
Had this account been open long enough to know if the payment needing to arrive by 25th is a hard deadline or an advisory? And whether is likely to be returned to sender or counted as the next month's?
Only been able to make the initial payment today (faster payment) - tried it anyway and wondering if it will bounce. Hoping it will be ok as month-end is midweek.0 -

I delayed opening my account to the 16th, but purposely didn't fund til yesterday to take advantage of about £15 extra interest overall and to ensure it matures on a weekday. It took 2 hours to show up online.
Maturity on this account is not based on application opening, it's 365 days from min £20 deposit.
I've never known any RS which stipulates a near eom cut off date to actually apply it, it's there for reasons discussed dozens of times before.

Monmouthshire
Any rumours coming from them about future decent RS (not the 4.75 one they're currently offering)?
My most recent and only accounts current RS (7 and 8%) accounts mature next month and I'd be keen to stay a member.

With all the different banking systems having their own eccentricities it's good to be able to ask here!0 -
Not a top rate but possibly one to open speculatively:
Melton BS to launch a branch/post Regular Saver 5 at 5% (£500/mth max, unlimited withdrawals)
From what I can see from moneyfacts the account is open ended, though the rate is only paid on the first £6k.
EDIT: Now live
