Any rumours coming from them about future decent RS (not the 4.75 one they're currently offering)?
My most recent and only accounts current RS (7 and 8%) accounts mature next month and I'd be keen to stay a member.
Am drowning in accounts!

Had this account been open long enough to know if the payment needing to arrive by 25th is a hard deadline or an advisory? And whether is likely to be returned to sender or counted as the next month's?
Only been able to make the initial payment today (faster payment) - tried it anyway and wondering if it will bounce. Hoping it will be ok as month-end is midweek.I think it will be ok and showing on your account tomorrow. Some accounts at other banks/bs state this also about the 25th, i think its allowing for if there is a weekend at end of February, just a guess though!
With all the different banking systems having their own eccentricities it's good to be able to ask here!0 -
Not a top rate but possibly one to open speculatively:
Melton BS to launch a branch/post Regular Saver 5 at 5% (£500/mth max, unlimited withdrawals)
From what I can see from moneyfacts the account is open ended, though the rate is only paid on the first £6k.
EDIT: Now live

The problem is the rate's not competitive yet, the only reason I can see to open one is to hope that it becomes a good rate down the line - given they offer only 14 days notice of interest changes and they've got previous with dropping rates; personally I'll be giving it a miss.

Not a top one but one to possibly keep an eye on:
Darlington BS to launch a 12 month regular saver at 5.1% tomorrow (£250/mth max). Account allows 2 withdrawals/yr excluding closure.14 -
Anyone know if we can make a 13th deposit into the Nationwide Flex RS 2 please? Terms don't seem to forbid it, but balance illustration after 12 months seems to use £2,400. ThanksIf you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

Nationwide Flex RS2 NLAThere is the ability to add a 13th payment but at 8% on £200 for just shy of a month only gains an additional £1 in interest over that gained by 12 payments. I don't normally bother.4
