Virgin Money 10.38% regular monthly saver

Hi, just wanted to say that it took me just a few pain free minutes to easily open a brand new Virgin Money M Plus account so that I could subsequently open up and pay straight into its 10.38% regular saver account.  It's a maximum of £250 per month and maturity date is 31st July 2025 so that was £162 for about 8 minutes work.  I have many of the 7% regular savers but I've never seen one as big as 10% before!  Best wishes to you all.

    I think this highlights the reason to keep old accounts open. There was a time where the M+ current account and associated savings rate was worth having. I’ve had nothing in my Virgin accounts for some time now but was reluctant to close them. This came along and of course it took only a few minutes to open and fund.

    It's been in the main Regular Savings thread for a few days, but good to have it's own one now!
    Opened a current and saver as a brand new customer in less than 5 minutes. Simples!

    For most I’m sure not an issue but worth remembering that opening the current account results in a hard credit check on your file.

    Not a problem for us but as you said that's why it's worth having a dormant account with a few of the banks.

    It seems the biggest issues have arisen from those who left dormant accounts behind and now cannot log in or create a new profile.

    Well, I can report my wife found my old login info for Virgin which I have not used for several years and it worked. I don’t have any existing current accounts but do have two old linked saving accounts. So now it gives me the opportunity to open a new CA and saver, pleased about that.

    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.
