Good riddance Trading 212 - my worst banking experience ever. Now to email them to ask them to close my Trading 212 account and online account as I can't do it from their website as I would need the ghost code that they sent to firefox that I don't ever recieve and they're customer service can't explain why or even understand what I mean.....
Virgin Money. Trading 212 does not appear to be part of the BACS Electronic ISA Transfer Service, I suspect that is why it can be bothersome to transfer out of Trading 212 if the receiving bank only uses that service.

I think it is perfectly reasonable for a poster to point out an explanation for the request to provide a selfie. It may be helpful to anyone else who has the same problem or wishes to disable it. We'll probably never know how T212 came to believe your Firefox browser was capable of 2FA, but if anyone else has the issue then at least they can be armed with the knowledge that there is a process to overcome it and what that process entails.

I can't give them a selfie if I wanted to and my trusted device is no longer trusted, presumably due to having cleared cookies. It's a shower of .....Anyone with the same problem will have the same issue with customer service being clueless despite having sent them screenshots of the issue. They direct me to similar pages as linked here which is just patronising and unhelpful and DOES NOT SOLVE ANYTHING.0

Trading 212 seem to have changed the 2FA thing again. Recently i used to be able to log in and see all my accounts but unable to withdraw until entered some code sent to chrome which i'm not even using. Now i cant even log in! And they want a video of me.ThenthenI'll be transferring out too, luckily i have previously made a note of the trading 212 account numbers associated with my accounts.1

I looked at T212 a while ago. But it would not load on my machine. I guess that is the trade off they want; you join there technocratic system in exchange for a free ride. But I think that there free ride is now coming to an end.masonic said:According to another poster, Virgin Money has been requesting incoming transfers from T212 are sent via cheque.0

I'm one of the (I suspect) majority that have not had any issues with '212 and I'm very happy with the offering. For what it is worth I use a phone based authenticator app for verification (for this and a few other sites). I only need to use this for new log ins.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards.
