Following this thread with interest as I've got a bit of money in a Trading 212 cash ISA and if their interest rate drops much further I might jump ship. Tried to transfer out a few months back, but had trouble finding anywhere that accepted online transfers from them. Ended up withdrawing and depositing manually (yes I know... I wasn't anywhere close to using up my £20k allowance in the tax year).

Aside from the transferring out issue, I've never had any problems with Trading 212, and I like the fact that their ISA is flexible. They've dropped the interest rate by a huge chunk since I opened the account though, so might be looking to move soon.
T212 do not do electronic transfers, it’s all offline
Thanks. It's a bit bizarre, given that they're an online bank, and presumably their target customers are people who want to do everything online and aren't fussed about having a physical branch to go into!

Just contacted 212, and they claim to have no record of an ISA transfer request form sent to them from Vida savings on 17 April!!

Opened Monument to transfer Trading212 ISA into it, just as Monument stop accepting transfers from Tradibg212. Anyone know someone who accepts 212 transfers in so I can transfer out of them again to Monument?
Failing that, I max’d ISA last year and have only contributed a few thousand this tax year. If I withdraw the lot and put in Chase I now have at 4.8% for 6 months. How much can I put into the Monument ISA this year?
I’m in the process of transferring from T212 to Vida, and then I plan to transfer into Monument from there
Thanks, What did you use for sort code on the transfer form online?
These are the details provided by T212

Did you put your 212 ISA account number in the roll/reference box then?

  • Update on mine...opened new fixed rate isa with NBS @4.3 so presently only .5% less than 212 variable( and that's without the 8th May bank rate decision. Took around 2 weeks but had to factor in the Easter bank holiday so probably around 8 business days as it was transferred the 28 April after NBS posting it on the 10th. T212 now show your cash isa account number when you go to transfer but wasn't shown when I asked for my transfer.
Similar to another post the interest rate since I opened mine has dropped quite a bit since November starting at 5.17.
I'm happy with both renewals from Cynergy and Oak north at the beginning of April offering good rates above what I can now find.
I've one easy access with Ford money which are easy to deal cash in and out being flexible.

Opened with Vida, I used the sort code printed a few posts back, put my cash ISA ID where it asked for account number and left roll number blank…..was this wrong?

Who knows, I think they could locate your account if they wanted too.
Did you sign the transfer form and return it to Vida?

I contacted T212 regarding my ISA transfer request (Vida) and they claim to have no record of any transfer request, even though Vida say they sent it on 17th April.

I too have no doubt whatsoever that T212 could identify your account if they wanted too!

Wife and I started a transfer from T212 to Gatehouse Bank on the 16th of April.

Up until yesterday T212 were claiming they hadn't received any transfer request despite it being sent via post AND email.

Yesterday T212 sent my wife an email saying they had received the request and could she verify it etc.

My transfer has been received also by T212 (notified via their messaging system) so just waiting for the verification request from T212, I shan't hold my breath.

Seems crazy in this day and age of instant transfers this should take just shy of THREE WEEKS, perhaps I need to manage my expectations a bit more vigorously  :#

The expectation and reality should be that 3 weeks is far too long - I've just opened a fixed ISA to transfer a T212 ISA into and its funding window is 14 days (a common time limit). It's accepted the application, although I'll now presumably have to wait for them to tell me it needs to be transferred with paperwork, in the post, and somehow for it to happen within the 2 weeks. From reading this thread since, that looks unlikely.
